I’m getting a queasy feeling about this season as we get guy hurt, unwilling to sign, playing the same old soft defense, and go through the motions. Yeah, I know, it’s preseason. But I sure didn’t like our 3rd down defense. 2nd stringers or not. The kickoff coverage was terrible and led to a TD. Although the new rules are weird to say the least. Not sure where the league went to to figure that shit out. We forced one punt. Although we did make a couple 4th down stops. Too many pre-snap penalties. All the same fucking problems from before.
Seeing those two big drops on the deep passes kinda underscored the need for BA, but Tenn used their starters against our backups early and the pass pro wasn’t terrible.
Sure, I’m reading to much into this, but it sure seems like we are getting a lot of bad news out of camp. And yeah, Ambry Thomas WAS playing himself pf the team before the broken arm.
I would like to see Purdy get into the Raider game, if only for a series or two. Just to get a taste of upcoming action. Then again, maybe not. Too much weird shit has happened to even risk putting him out there.

Incidentally I really like the Jets playing hardball with Hasson Reddick who asked for a trade to the Jets and once he got there he demanded more money. The Jets said no so he demanded to be traded to yet another team and the Jets said no and told him he is playing on his contract.

Exactly right Kat, Trent is also getting huge fines but it doesn’t help when the team just waives them, what’s the point? If the league really wants to use fines as leverage make them not forgiveable.

Pittsburgh doesn’t seem to be very solid in their QB situation. I mean they are better than NE and Cleveland, but RW is old, and Fields is pretty much a washout.
My contention this whole time is BA cannot get himself into a better position short of going to Buffalo or KC.

It’s not just about this payday, he needs to be on a really good team to showcase his skills to get that next, bigger contract, but if he’s dumb enough to grab the slightly bigger money now on a less talented team he should go for it.
I just hope the 9ers get a good deal in return. The fact that they are willing to deal him to 3 teams so far tells you where they actually have him valued. Having said all that I will be surprised if he gets traded but will will know soon.
Yeah, I still think they sign him, but I’m usually about 60% right.
