Hold-In | Sit-In | Laugh-In

Well, as you all know, BA showed up for training camp, but of course he isn’t participating. Yeah, we’ve gone over this 100 times, so what’s one more?

Anywhoo, still think we sign him mainly because BA has little to no leverage here. He’s under contract, and can be franchised in 2025 AND 2026, so unless BA wants to take 3 years off to get his bag, so be it.

Again, though, it is nigh retarded to go through the SAME scenario that derailed (well, slowed down) both Nick Bosa’s and Deebo Samuel’s seasons in the past couple years.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

I was wondering if BA would practice, Lynch said yesterday he expected all players to practice but I haven’t seen any reports on BA yet.

RIP John Mayall. Sadly, never saw him..

      Indeed Chuck.

Got hooked on Mayall as a young kid hanging with my buddy’s older brother. Been a Blues fan ever since.

      RIP John. Helluva run 🙏

Being the youngest of 5 and growing up when I did (born in 1961) I heard everything by the time I was 10.

Huh. News to me that Trent Williams is holding out. When he signed he was the highest paid O lineman but has since gotten passed.

Sure wish we would have done more to upgrade this line.

And BA was seen walking into the Niner facility with John Lynch.

Trent is out of guaranteed money, he is looking for a short term deal with some guaranteed money, something like CMC just got.

Hmmm. dude is a free agent in 2027. He’s making $20 mill in base, $10 mill as part of his pro-rated signing bonus, and a possible $12.75 mill roster bonus.

    Not really feeling it.

If he happens to get hurt there is no money guarranteed for his final years. The Niners could just cut him and not owe him anything. He just wants some more guaranteed money.

    • Winder's avatar Winder says:

The Niners will have to give him what he wants. Purdy’s future depends on it.

        I agree Winder.

Trent has the leverage in this one, pay me or I retire is the likely gambit. At his age he probably wants a 2 (real) year deal before he retires and goes to the HOF.

IMO he deserves it, still the best LT in football.

        yep

    Fave tune off that album.

Same. Green was a fantastic guitar player who made the blues sound better. Not really fancy but just good.
