The 49ers are once again dicking around when they shouldn’t be dicking around. They dithered around too long with both Deebo and Bosa, to the detriment of their following seasons, and now they are dicking around with BA. They would be nigh retarded to not sign him, seeing as he and Purdy have a very good thing going, and the time is right to go for the chip.
The sticking point appears to be the team offering $26 mill per and BA wanting something in the neighborhood of $30 mill. Get him signed at $30 per. The diff in terms of fucking NFL contracts is negligible. Granted, one year of BA is more than I’ll make in my entire life no matter what he signs for, but that’s the story of the game. Billionaires fucking around with mulit-millionaires.
Ooooh, but what about the salary cap, Unca? Fuck the salary cap. After the 2024 season, there will be a LOT of changes. The window is wide open RIGHT NOW. They need to take advantage while the team is relatively young and healthy, and Purdy is on his rookie deal.

Yeah, it looks like the BA negotiations are going nowhere. Eventually it will become a distraction if things don’t happen fairly soon. I think Purdy can overlook whatever distraction it becomes though.
Darnold now the #1 QB in Minnesota now that Kirk Cousins is in Atl and their backups are stiffs in Jaren Hall and Big Dick Nick Mullens. They do have JJ McCarthy as their heir apparent, so I’m really really curious to see how that all works out for the Vikings.
Cousins has done so little to get so much over his career and he leaves Minn with great reg season numbers and crap playoff results.
50-37 in the reg season and 1-3 in the playoffs. Ouch.
To add insult to suckiness, the Falcons lose a 5th round pick and $250,000 for tampering to GET Cousins.
Then again, the Falcons have been a shit-show at QB the past couple seasons since Matty Ice left for Indy.
