The 49ers are busy busy busy trying to keep this offense growing and continuing to flourish by signing CMC to a 2 year extension to the remaining 2 years on his current deal, upping his pay to $19 mill per and keeping him here through the 2027 season. Much more inline with the top RBs in the league, and fitting of a guy who joins Roger Craig and Marshall Faulk as the only guys to get 1,000 rushing and receiving yards in the same season. Plus the 21 TDs. So that is money well spent.
They also signed TE Logan Thomas, a (soon to be) 33 year old vet who has had legit success catching the ball with 94 receptions, 820 yards, and 5 TDs his last 2 seasons.
Wither Aiyuk? Well, the tide is still out on that one. BA has officially missed the start of mandatory mini-camp. And if you think Cee Dee lamb, another no-show to the mandatories, has something to do with BA’s holdout, you are correct.
This’ll likely be a running game of ‘who blinks first’ for their payday, so we all get to watch from the sidelines as these 2 go through the machinations of contract negotiations.
Whooopie! Thing is, for all intents and purposes it looks like we sign BA to an extension and kiss Deebo goodbye after 2024, or we don’t sign BA to an extension, and re-up Deebo after 2024. Since the imerative is to have the team together THIS season, I’d prefer the extension, and then deal with Deebo later, but hey. I’m not a billionaire. Or even Brazillionaire.

Whats not to like with CMC but that’s a lot of money for a long time for a soon to be older RB with a lot of miles on his odometer. Risky.
Niners are investing a lot of capital into pass catchers both in the draft and signing vets, Jennings, Taylor and now a pass catching TE Thomas. Sure looks like they are going to give Purdy an opportunity to sling the rock.
yeah that was my thought as well. Just hope they still have a few cards up their sleeve to improve the o line.
By making that deal with McCaffrey we just might have extended our window of opportunity another year. Really looking forward to seeing what Purdy can do this year. We just have to keep him upright. And, drafting the way we did I think the object is to give Purdy some speedy weapons. Anyway football can’t start soon enough.

Yeah, the baseball season has gone to hell in a handbasket pretty quick. Shame the Giants have been spinning their wheels for so long.
Yeah, regarding the Giants it’s just a very sad situation. I know we have had some crappy teams before but I can’t remember any Giants team that looks so lost. It’s time to clean house.
Not gonna happen. The front office (Greggie) is happy with mediocrity. Now that the A’s are leaving, there’s little to no impetus to go for the World Series. Just to simply have a team that breaks even and keeps them rolling in revenue sharing money.
Sure, they spend, but look at what they spend on. 30+ players who seem to hit the wall when they get here. Soler and Snell are fresh garbage. Chapman likely skates out of here on his opt-out.
This song resides deep in my brain folds as a kid. One of my sisters played this album all the time when I was 7-8 years old.
