  3. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

Hoping Brown gets the start over Ryan. Speed beats experience. Ryan didn’t have a very good game.

  4. alleykat69's avatar alleykat69 says:

Shanny said due to Brown missing some games towards the end of the season and starting only 5 games all year he wants to get every playoff experience players out there first, thus Logan will start probably but Brown will get in their as well..
Lions have not activated TE Zach Ertz from the practice squad so he’s out..

  5. Irish Kevin's avatar Irish Kevin says:

Well, after last weeks game , this game makes me a little nervous. The sports analysts make this a game just like the GB game. IMO the Niners win this game. I don’t think the Lions will be able to run due to natural grass. Artificial turf the RBs would be a lot faster. I still think Welks should bring back the 5 man front. At least start with it. And then use that 5th man as a decoy. Line up with 5 rush 4, then line up 5 and go 5. Don’t be predictable. With that said Niners 37-13. GO NINERS.

  6. Winder's avatar Winder says:

At this point I think I’ve said all I can about this game. Go Niners. 27-17

  7. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

KC using ball control and a sustained pass rush to take it to Balt. So far.

  8. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

KC should have challenged the Kelce catch.

  9. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

Jackson prevented the pick and gains 13 yards. Holy shit.

What Jared Goff will be doing. I hope.

  10. alleykat69's avatar alleykat69 says:

Loo has to be happy the way the Chiefs are playing and dominating the time of possession!
A TD pass to Kelce&a power TD run by Pacheco along with Mahomes being sharp passing the ball.. Chiefs are taking into the Ravens right now.

  11. Irish Kevin's avatar Irish Kevin says:

All the Chronicles beat writers say Kyle cannot play conservative and give away minutes in the game. They say if his script isn’t working he needs to balls to the wall and take this game

  12. Irish Kevin's avatar Irish Kevin says:

Well that was all on the D, WTF

Wilks job is on the line

    Wow, didn’t see this coming

  15. Irish Kevin's avatar Irish Kevin says:

This is BS, 3rd and 18 and they get the 1st down. 4 man front is just not getting it done, 2 sacks by Bosa is not enough

  16. Lurker John's avatar Lurker John says:

Shanahan has made a career of shitting the bed. They’re not even competing.

  17. bakkentom's avatar bakkentom says:

    From ninersnation:

The consistent theme here was Wilks playing soft coverage and letting Goff sit back in the pocket and pick the defense a part — which he did. Unsurprisingly, the Lions converted yet another third down before the half.

  18. Lurker John's avatar Lurker John says:

This team is going to put me in an early grave. WTF.

  19. Lurker John's avatar Lurker John says:

Wow. This team makes the 2010 Giants look like a wire-to-wire juggernaut. Nothing comes easy. And the Lions have some serious moxie. They’re going to be a force moving forward.

BEREA, Ohio — The Cleveland Browns have hired former Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey to be their new offensive coordinator, sources told ESPN

I believe this is the qb from Orinda, CA

  24. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

At some point Wilks will understand that we need to bring the pressure and play to win in the 1st half instead of the 2nd half. Detroit dictated everything in the 1st half and nothing in the 2nd half.

I guess this one counts as a comeback, eh?

  25. bakkentom's avatar bakkentom says:

Am going to look for articles saying Wilks should be fired after SB. He is slow to adjust. . Did we take advantage of their LG and C weakness

    • unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

I’m looking forward to Wilks not fucking playing prevent defense in the 1st half of games. He’s a fucking pussy. He only gets aggressive when his back is agaonst the wall, or we are getting beat at the line. Over and over.

  26. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

Got to say, Dan Gamble gave us that game. He could have kicked 2 field goals that would have extended their lead, but stupidly went for it twice on 4th downs in FG range and failed.

Thanks, Dan. You can go the way of Brandon Staley and lick your wounds.

  27. Lurker John's avatar Lurker John says:

Lions fans are commenting all over social media about that very thing, many calling for his head. The first would’ve put them up three scores halfway through the third quarter. But calling for his head is a little over the top, though I can understand how they feel. He’s completely turned that franchise around and they just missed going to their first Super Bowl. I think they’re going to be right in the mix for quite a while. Tough, fast and physical.

  28. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

Man, you never know. Look at Miami. Everyone thought they’d be back to the Super Bowl and they never got that close ever again.

That’s just bad decision making. On the 50? sure. But when you have a chance to get points with a lead, on the road, you take them.

That first stop especially turned the tide in a big way.

Sure, he shouldn’t walk the plank for it, but man, who’s to say they even get back to this spot? I still think Green Bay is a better team. Detroit might not be in this position again.

    • Winder's avatar Winder says:

Yeah, GB is gonna be something for years to come. They are a young talented team. That whole North division are going through major changes and Chicago with all that draft capital should be right there too.

      • unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

Chicago? Nope. They are as inept as any team in the league. They aren’t going anywhere with Fields, and they have no defense. And no front office.

The Chiefs defense is better than I thought. They played hard today and took it to Baltimore.

The Niners better figure out how to play defense at the start of a game. These last 2 have been awful.

  29. Lurker John's avatar Lurker John says:

Baltimore was completely handled today and that surprised me. Not so much that the Chiefs won but the manner in which they did it. The Ravens never really got close. Giving Jackson a pass for having games like this while vilifying Purdy is baffling to me. Lamar was not good today and he had everything going for him. Purdy, on the other hand, came up big again when the Niners needed it the most and his running was impressive as hell. He still doesn’t get any credit for being as athletic as he is.

  30. Lurker John's avatar Lurker John says:

I’m trying not to think about it right now, but the Chiefs are going to be very hard to take down. And yes, Wilks better figure something out because starting slow against them might be more than they can overcome. Jared Goff ain’t no Patrick Mahomes. Give that guy an inch and he’ll take it all.

And Chase Young was pretty bad today. He got rag dolled on multiple plays while trying to set the edge and that shit needs to change. He has not impressed me very much since the Niners got him.

  31. Lurker John's avatar Lurker John says:

One of the highlights for me was Kittle absolutely pancaking Aidan Hutchinson. Kittle is 30 now and as bad ass as ever. All time 49er and so fun to watch. I could see him having a big game against KC.

  32. willedav's avatar willedav says:

Give credit to Purdy for making plays with his legs when needed, well done. Mahomes does this too.
Do think it is an advantage to Chiefs for Reid/Spagnolo over Shanahan/Wilks.

  33. Irish Kevin's avatar Irish Kevin says:

After watching the last two games how many of you think Kyle has a 2 minute drill? Based on the GB game I would say he does not have one. I want to see a game where the Niners get the ball with 1:30 to go and down by 3-4 points, see how Kyle plays it

  34. Winder's avatar Winder says:

Purdy is 24 years old and a total gamer. Unless he get hammered too often he should progressively get better year by year. He is our future no matter what happens in the SB. And, if anyone doesn’t think Aiyuk doesn’t deserve a contract like Deebo’s then they are not paying attention. The FO better make it happen.

  35. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

Yeah, I think they will figure it out with BA. Aiyuk is a huge fan of Purdy and a lot of these guys want to stick around. He and Deebo are fucking studs and they have to figure out a way to keep them together. Jennings is a keeper. Bell has shown some things.

New thread is up!!!! SUPER BOWL LVIII BOUND!!!!!
