An Enigma Wrapped in a Riddle Surrounded by a Football

Nick Bosa, who erased his sketchy Twitter past, and is not one to post much, posted a pic of New York City. Coincidentally, where his agent’s office is. I guess it means something. I hope it means something. All I know is I want him with his teammates getting ready for the season. I don’t like these holdouts.

And while his job is basically ‘see QB, kill QB’ him getting hits and being hit would seem to be an important part of season prep. No it isn’t like Deebo, who missed all of camp and was out of shape and out of sync with the offense, and who blamed his shit season last year on that very holdout, but still, I would be much more happy with him chilling with his guys.

I’m sure he’s dying to get out there as well. 19 days till kickoff. Sign the man already. He’s the reigning defensive MVP. He’s in his prime, and he wants to get out there and have a better season than last year.

Get it done.

Can’t get enough of Terry Kath. Just rips the shit out of this.

Speaking of injured players, Kinlaw was out due to a mystery illness and missed the Denver game. Don’t know his status for Friday’s game, but his game against the Raiders was near invisible.

This was always my favorite Chicago song. Great lyrics and great horn/string section filling the background, especially at the end, encompassing Kath’s awesome soulful singing.

I always thought there were a few songs that could’ve been known for a great guitar lead if it was just longer. This is one of those songs.

Did I mention great horns and strings!

Have you listened to FreeForm Guitar? Weird to say the least!

One of my early concert-going highlights was seeing Chicago. Loved that band when I was a kid. Day on the Green, 1975. I had the big Iron-on cardinal sticker on the back of my jean jacket from Chicago VII. A prized possession.

Their first album was Chicago Transit Authority in 1967. It was very underrated. It had 4 recognizable his, including I’m a Man. Free Form is on that album. I remember playing it loud one day. My roommate asked who that is. He didn’t care for it. I told him it was Chicago.

Is that the blue shimmery wavy album cover, Bergs? Got that vinyl buried in what’s left of my records somewhere.

Commander Cody was the opening act. Beach boys? Meh, bit Chicago was awesome. When I was a kid I really dug funk bands and really liked horn sections in rock bands, so I was a big fan of Sly and the Family Stone, Ohio Players, Tower of Power, Chicago, and Santana. Loved all that sound coming of the stage.

I always like em also, seen em live once a long time ago. Having trouble putting music video’s on here. Both Safari and Bing just give me long URL’s. I forgot how to shorten them. And I just don’t want to download Google on this computer.

I don’t find this a surprising move. Darnold was better than Lance IMO and by any stretch was no worse and has a ton of real game experience.

Darnold will run the scout team and that’s another area where his greater experience puts him ahead of Lance.

Now the big question is what will they do with Lance? Should they trade him or keep him as insurance for this season and let Allen go? I would prefer to keep him but if he goes he goes, he couldn’t even win the role of second string.

I don’t put much stock in it yet but reports are coming out that Bosa and the 9ers are at an impasse that could push it into the regular season like his brothers did.

    New thread is up.

This team seems perched on the edge of fucking everything up.
