Game Day 15! The Past Can be the Future

Man, only 3 games left of this crazy season. And as this is likely one of Jimmy G’s last starts in a 49er uni, it is fitting to look at his last Tennessee game. The one where he led two late scoring drives to beat an actual good team fighting for their playoff lives in the Tennessee Titans back in 2017. It was the impetus to sign him to a big deal as he won 2 games before that one, and 2 games after go to 5-0 that season.

Those 4 years have been rough on Jimmy, with the knee injury, and late collapse in the Super Bowl, and the high ankle sprain last season. Which has led to the Trey Lance era next year.

But hey, let’s revel in Jimmy’s resurgence, hope it continues, and raise a glass for Steve (Skeebers) Beigel one last time. RIP, my friend.

No idea how this game goes, but I think we can pull away late. Got to force a pick or 2.

Turnovers are key in this game. WIn the turnover battle win the game.

Tannehill is a bum 14 TD’s for the season but with14 Interceptions and 4 fumbles he will supply some early Christmas gift turnovers!13 turnovers in last 4 games the most in the NFLJimmy G just playing so much better 18 TD’s 7 interceptions 3 fumbles but clean the last 2 games and he’s been better then most QB’s over the last month.Niners are hot the Titans are not.Kittle&Samuel are just on fire 🔥 with Deebo scoring a rushing TD in 5 straight games, crazy, but I say it will be number 6 tonight along with a Kittle score! Niners 31-17

Believe it or not Ambry Thomas last week was at least in the right position to make plays, despite not making them. Hopefully he;s learning. They are gonna go after him..

  4. alleykat69's avatar alleykat69 says:

Oh yeah they will be going after Thomas.
Kyle and Ryans do like his aggressive play and been playing him up even with some bad plays, but he is good tough coverage a lot. Learning curves / baby steps whatever especially for a rook in the secondary but let’s hope he’s up for it and who knows maybe he surprises and gets a pick are fumble recovery?

Perfect right from KO–catch the ball take a knee don’t eff up and let the offense take over.

RIP Skeebs Yes a toast to you as I raise my spirits cheers!🥃🍸🍹🍺🥂🍾🍻
49ers making you proud on that drive!

  9. Irish Kevin's avatar Irish Kevin says:

Tannenhill reminds me of JG, hangs on to the ball 🏈 too long

  10. Irish Kevin's avatar Irish Kevin says:

3 and out after getting an interception, not good for Tennessee

  11. alleykat69's avatar alleykat69 says:

Defense more then making up for Jimmy I’ll advised pick! Bossa de now that play by Warner my god he blew that up!!

  12. Irish Kevin's avatar Irish Kevin says:

Offense has stalled, Kyle probably looking to run more. Who knows though,

  13. Lurker John's avatar Lurker John says:

Garoppolo drives me crazy. Looks great one minute then like shit the next. Once he starts tap dancing it’s over and he had a wide open receiver, AGAIN, and didn’t even see him. He just can’t get the ball out. After all these years you’d think he’d have it figured out by now. And how he missed Juice is beyond me. WTF, that was an easy touchdown. And Wishnowsky has been flat out awful for a month now.

It should be at least 17-0, but they’re just letting TN hang around.

  14. Lurker John's avatar Lurker John says:

I believe that’s the first pass defended in Thomas’s career, which is exactly one more than Josh Norman has this season. lol The defense looks good overall, but you can see how they miss DJ Jones out there. Good to see Al-Shaair back on the field.

  15. alleykat69's avatar alleykat69 says:

Yeah when Jimmy G does his perfect imitation of Jim “don call me Chris Everett “ with his panicking happy feet and starts to make stupid throws it drives me nuts! They should be blowing them out more then 10 zip.. more like 24-0!!! Defense is ballin and bailing out a all of a sudden messedup offense..

  16. Lurker John's avatar Lurker John says:

I’m sorry to hear about Skeebers. I didn’t know him at all and only checked out his blog a few times. It seemed pretty good. Mostly I remember how antagonistic members of his blog have been towards this blog. I guess I just assumed he was the guy constantly trolling here, but I apparently not. Maybe someone else from his blog?

Anyway, RIP. The older I get the more I realize how fragile all of this is and how brief our time on earth is. I hope he had a good life.

Chuck, was he older? Do you know the circumstances behind his passing?

  17. Lurker John's avatar Lurker John says:

    Another third and long converted.

  18. Lurker John's avatar Lurker John says:

    The pass rush has vanished.

  19. Lurker John's avatar Lurker John says:

    Need a damn turnover.

  20. alleykat69's avatar alleykat69 says:

2straight big yardages conversions on long 3rd down plays have me yelling wtf!!!!

  21. Lurker John's avatar Lurker John says:

They’ve converted at least three of those tonight. Josh Norman is a joke.

  22. Lurker John's avatar Lurker John says:

There’s the Jimmy we know and love.

  23. Lurker John's avatar Lurker John says:

This is not going to end well. Compliments of your franchise QB.

  24. Lurker John's avatar Lurker John says:

Notice how Tannehill doesn’t make mistakes like that.

  25. Lurker John's avatar Lurker John says:

JG will be the end of this team.

  26. Irish Kevin's avatar Irish Kevin says:

2nd INT Jimmy will start getting happy feet and hold the ball too long due to second guessing who to pass it to

  27. Lurker John's avatar Lurker John says:

The wheels are coming off now.

  28. Irish Kevin's avatar Irish Kevin says:

42 yard pass, the front line did its job backing them up, 3rd and 23. Terrible

  29. alleykat69's avatar alleykat69 says:

I’m tired of seeing the back of number 20 Thomas constantly getting burned..It’s like all this shit is scripted when the wheels fall off..

Where in the hell are the holding calls
