Down 6 of 9 defensive linemen. Can we stop the run? Will we activate Valdez? Sign anyone? Trade Jones? A lot will be determined after this game. If AZ runas all over us, there will be some kind of moves to be made as Denver and Seattle are next, and they are tougher than the Cards.
Sure we should be able to outscore them, but as Miami showed, it’s tougher to score when you don’t have the ball. And AZ isn’t as terrible as Miami.
Worried about this one.
I just hope we have enough guys to field a team next week. Tough win but it looks like it’s gonna be that way for the rest of the year.

I see this Season starting with lots of motion and ground attack.
Our OL is going to take time to adjust to the new system, however, a WCO should help them once Alex and the WRs get into the necessary rhythm.
Game 1, lots of Gore and Hunter, 9ers win a close one. I do expect Harbaugh to take some deep shots though, VD and Braylon will be a nice duo.

We need to blitz more. When we gave Brissett time he killed us. Obvious passing downs we need to bring the pressure. A lot of base 4 man rushing today. Not sure what to do about the run defense except to oversell it and bring the LBs up w/a 5 man line.
Shanahan had some crazy calls today. He went pass happy up 23-6 with the ball.
Even late the TD to Kittle and the passes right before the 2 minute warning were very ill-advised. It worked out and we lost 10 more guys, but a win is a win.
Got to say this was one of the worst officiated games I’ve ever seen. Waaaay too many ticky tacky penalties that were huge.
The return mistake by Neal and AZ recovering was huge in the game.
That was straight bad luck. Fucking Piniero was awful. Despite the 56 yard FG before the half.

Just read about the Raiders game . . . Outstanding comeback from the Silver and Black. They have completely flipped the script from last year’s three-win disappointment and have surged to a 3-0 start, matching their entire win total from the previous season in just three weeks.
The main reasons for their early success are a revitalized offense and a lockdown defense. Veteran Cousins is efficiently steering a West Coast system built around heavily running the football and feeding star pass-catchers like TE Bowers. Defensively, the unit has been elite. Led by a relentless pass rush and a secondary that leads the league in creating turnovers. Always have had a soft spot for the Raiders and hope they are for real this season.
Yeah I’m glad to see that too. The Raiders really haven’t been the Raiders since Marcus Allen and Howie Long and a few others. I can’t think of his name but he was a tough as nails fullback I used to love watching that guy play. Mark Van Eeghan, had to look it up.
