Game day is finally here!!! We’ve all heard the talk, seen the replays, listened to the pundits, and understand that Shakira and J Lo are the halftime show. Time to play the game!
We’ve gone over the matchups and position battles, and even the history of the Niners in their quest to get their 6th trophy. The pundits have all weighed in, even the bettors have raised the point spread to -2 for the Chiefs in certain books. Among all the talk, one thing I didn’t mention was the coaching.
In the end, I think Kyle Shanahan calls a better game than the Walrus. Koo-Koo-Ka-Choo, once a bridesmaid, always a bridesmaid. KC is relying too heavily on their offense, and I think we can slow them enough to win. They will score, but we will slow them down enough to take this.

This is on Kyle, once again afraid to take chances, he had 1:30 mins at the half and ran out the clock, then the Chiefs go into no huddle and score, 2:30 mins and Kyle acts like he has all the time in the world. When it is 2:30 mins the D knows you have to pass so call two plays and get it done. And I don’t know what Saleh does to practice no huddle offenses, but whatever it was it didn’t work

20-10 and shut out in the 4th quarter. We had the ball off the pick and just flailed. Losing Hill on the 3rd and 15 play was fucking awful. Jimmie Ward fucked that hard. And fucking Moore on the PI?
This ain’t on Shanny, it’s on the defense. We had KC stopped on those 2 drives and let him get loose. Moore fucking stinks. We gave them big plays that we shouldn’t have.
Sorry Chuck. But I disagree. 5 minutes left. Up 20-17. 1st and 10. Mostert for 5. 2nd and 5. We pass. Incomplete. 3rd and 5. Pass. Incomplete. Punt. 1,2,3 punt. We had them with our zone blocking and Mostert at that point. On that 2nd and 5, running the zone blocking and Mostert was the call, and he got too cute. I’m sorry, but I just think that was a crucial point in the game and that shanahan went away from what had dominated Green Bay, had dominated the Vikings, and I think was going to run the ball down the throats of the chiefs at that point in the game with five minutes left. We were going to be successful. he just lost patience.
and yes, the defense might have been a little bit gassed at that point. But they would have had a lot more in the tank if we had stuck to the run. Am I out of my head here? What was our average per carry?

We ran for about 140 on the night. Make that 170 or 180 and another eight carries, and we would have won.

KC played the whole game, we didn’t. To me it wasn’t unexpected. KC almost got there last year. We had a fantastic season and should be in the mix for the next few years at least. Losing the SB is a bummer but at least we got there and hopefully it will make us stronger next year.

The Niners need a more balanced offense, this is the 2nd SB they have lost because they rely to much on the run. And then when they have to pass it is too late, the Defenses know the pass is coming. You can talk all you want about running the ball using up clock blah, blah blah. But in today’s NFL it has been proven to get back in the game you must pass. Kyle is either going to get confidence in Jimmy or we the fans will see these losses regularly

KC’s defense made the plays down the stretch. We didn’t.We were still running well when Shanny 3 and outed with 2 straight incompletions. Jimmy missing Sanders wide open was a fail.
Jimmy has to learn how to feel the pressure better than he does.
