Weirdest. Playoffs. Ever.

Here we are on the edge of Super Bowl LII, and the quarterbacks are:

Case Keenum
Nick Foles
Blake Bortles
Brian Hoyer (possibly)

Call me underwhelmed, but this is pretty terrible. Drew Brees had the last best shot of stopping the Patriots from yet another SB win, until Brady fucked up his thumb in Wednesday’s practice. So here we sit with a bunch of stiffs at QB, and some supposed defenses that will carry the day.

That is, until the Jags gave up 45 to us, and 42 to the Steelers. I don’t see too much hope for the Jags if Brady plays. Hoyer? Well, different story. The Paats defense was 29th in yards given up, but 5th in points allowed. Not sure how that flies, but it gives the Jags some hope. Pittsburgh was supposed to have a defense as well

Vikings Eagles? Shit, who knows? Vikings have the better defense, but this is a game of 7 yard dswing passes and dumps to backs out of the backfield. All day. Kinda like the Harbaugh Niners with Young Sir Alex. ZZZZzzzzzzzz

At this point we should be favored to win the Super Bowl next year.

I got Minn 27 – Philly 17

NE 31 – Jax 20

    I’ll say Philly 20 Minn 17
    NE: 23 Jax 17

  2. Winder says:

I will just say it’a a Vikings, Jags SB. That is what I hope anyway, I sure wouldn’t put any money on it though.

  3. NJ49er says:

    2 potential Edge Rushers –
    Ade Aruna / Tulane 6’4″/265 – 4.70
Projected in the Mid RD Area (3-5)

    Marcus Davenport / UTSA 6’7″/256 – 4.77
Will be playing in the Senior Bowl next weekend.
Could elevate his Draft stock with a good showing in Mobile.
Wavering in the Mid 1st RD Area at present.

  4. Nipper says:

NE should blow away the Jags. Philly should kill off the Vikings. It will be a lot of defense and cautious plays in these games. Damn the Warriors looked lousy last night. It was bound to happen. Too many road games.

    • Lurker John says:

After watching a quarter and a half, you may want to revisit that first prediction. NE is getting their asses kicked. Right now they look overmatched. And I think the Vikes will give the Eagles all they can handle. Should be a good one.

  5. Lurker John says:

Pound that Patriot ass! Drive Brady’s skull into the turf! I love it!

  6. unca_chuck says:

Wow. The Jags are a TD away from sealing this.

  7. Lurker John says:

The Jags are in the middle of an epic meltdown. Why? Your standard reasons, prevent defense against a hall of fame QB playing at home, and a middling QB, Blake Bortles, reverting to form and throwing checkdowns on third-and-long.

    • Lurker John says:

Don’t forget boneheaded penalties. How do you take a first down negating delay of game penalty COMING OUT OF A TIMEOUT?

  8. Lurker John says:

Marrone is puckering up hard right now. Almost every first down play is a run into the line.

    • Lurker John says:

You couldn’t drive a pin into that dudes ass with a jackhammer right now. The Jags have a weak history but if they don’t find a way to hang on this one is going to move right to the top of their list of big time failures. Pathetic end of the game performance.

  9. Lurker John says:

When will NFL coaches ever learn that playing it safe is a surefire way to lose? They never change!

  10. Lurker John says:

Choke city baby. Bortles will never sniff this game again. Fuck NE.

  11. unca_chuck says:

Wow. The refs were quick on the delay whistle. That 1st down loss was huge. The rest? Meh.

Fucking Romo is such a twit. He finally made it to a championship game though.

  12. Winder says:

I agree, fuck NE. I can’t stand em.

  13. Lurker John says:

Romo offers some good insight but all of the whoohaa has got to go. Now we get the vomit-inducing Buck-Aikman duo. Time for some Westwood One radio.

  14. Winder says:

Boy did I sure pick em wrong.

  15. NJ49er says:

This will be the first SB in my lifetime that I simply don’t give a SH!T.
    Go Pats.
I hate Eagles Fans with a passion.

  16. NJ49er says:

For a while today it looked as though the Pats were missing Vince Wilfork with a passion.
Kudos to them for finding a way to force Bortles to throw when it mattered.
Once the JAX running game was held in check, Bortles became Bortles.
    Tad late.
    Tad short, when it mattered.
Better game than the Vikes managed to produce at least.
    Ho. Hum.
Brady and Belichick go to yet another SB.
    Please.
    Crucify Philly.

  17. unca_chuck says:

Well, the only thing for me to watch is Brady to lose another Super Bowl. I’d love to see them get pounded into the ground. Sorry NJ, but here on the left coast the Philly hatred isn’t really as palpable.

Thought that was gonna happen last year though.
