  1. Winder says:

last one. otherwise I could go all day.

  2. Irish Kevin says:

I was a Dr John fan

  3. Berger says:

This is probably the baddest blues tune ever!

  4. Berger says:

You guys were telling me the Raiders deal to Oakland was not going to happen when the casino guy backed out. I told you that 750 million was a lot of money for a municipality to offer and because of that the deal would still get done. One thing we must not forget, it’s always about the money. Oakland played hard ball with their perceived leverage, just like SF did with the 49ers, and lost their team.

    • Nipper says:

Oakland sucks at sports franchises. They’re all leaving except the A’s who would be in SJ if MLB would allow it. That Mayor is a good talker but no one is buying her act especially the NFL owners. Billionaires are not impressed with Mayors.

  5. Nipper says:

How many twinkies can you guys stuff into your gut in one sitting? That’s a topic on the KNBR Tom Tolbert Show around 6:45 tonight. Sports talk is running empty about now..

  6. NJ49er says:

Winder, John Mayall was the guy that got me HOOKED on the British Blues Invasion as a kid –
This concert DVD, for his 70th Birthday, is in my collection and is probably my all time favorite.
    This one’s for you……

    • Winder says:

Yeah, I enjoyed a lot of his early stuff and still listen to it now and then.. The Brits were listening to the blues way early on and I think they influenced a who shitload of bands. I really liked his 70th birtday stuff also.

      • NJ49er says:

I’m upgrading the Man Cave A/V System right now – Gonna blow the roof off the place soon enough 😀
New Yamaha receiver will take control once the new TV is purchased.
That DVD will be played early and often once it’s completed.

      • NJ49er says:

Gotta believe Clapton got his start by way of Mayall.
the rest, as they say…is history.
Love me some British Blues 😀

  7. NJ49er says:

This guy is very good as well –
He passed away several years ago but…Music Lives Forever.
    Hope you enjoy it…..

  8. NJ49er says:

    Another good one –

  9. NJ49er says:

Another guy that departed this life in recent years but, left us some good Blues to enjoy –
By way of Palm Springs CA to TX – Bugs Henderson. RIP.

  10. NJ49er says:

Another classic I can hear enough of – Neil Young’s Cortez The Killer…

  11. unca_chuck says:

Just listened to that NJ. Unreal version of that. I’m listening to. Neil Young right now on Bart. Miss the days when he used to play the keystone PA.

  12. unca_chuck says:

The NFL is already starting to hemmorage fans. Mving 3 teams in 15 months isn’t a good precedent. Especially when Jolly Roger talks of franchise stability. This is not helping. Stl and now Oalkland lose a team for a second time?

Like our political climate these days, the people mean nothing to those holding the cards. Fans? Fuck ’em. Goodell is a douchebag. Oakland and San Diego are cornerstones of the AFL (yeah SD started in LA) and Goodells take is ‘meh’ show me the money. The fans don’t fucking matter. This is going to bite the NFL the ass when the LA teams suck and don’t draw fans and the Gegas team is a colossal joke.

This is the XFL pretty soon.

    • Winder says:

chuck- just think though, now the Raiders can plan to build their own themed casino. Believe me it will be a circus act in every way. But the Raiders always wanted to be bigger than life. I lived in the East Bay for years and lived around some of the original Raider fans. Heck, i even married into a die-hard Raider family. And, if any of them were still around they would be heartbroken.

  13. Winder says:

This was the first time I ever heard Peter Green. Totally fell in love with his style.

  14. Nipper says:

I can’t believe the Raiders will stick around for two years or perhaps three. That’s ridiculous in the extreme. The whole Raiders thing is a reminder that building stadiums and making money is critical to the NFL not the people who show up in the parking lot on game day. Mount Davis screwed Oakland and they were not getting taxpayers to pony up again. Now that stadium will be torn down. Even the A’s don’t want it. It outlived its time.

  15. unca_chuck says:

Yeah winder, the early Fleetwood Mac is so far removed from the later crap as to be a different band.

  16. unca_chuck says:

    And just for fun

  17. unca_chuck says:

    Absolutely love Roy Buchanan

  18. Irish Kevin says:

Clapton was apart of the Mayall Bluesbreakers

    • NJ49er says:

      Yes he was Irish Kevin.
Had it not started with Mayall, EC may have lived in obscurity IMO.
Can’t get enough of what they brought over the Pond for our enjoyment 😀

      • Irish Kevin says:

NJ good thing he didn’t live in obscurity, would have been a waste of great talent

  19. unca_chuck says:

As Mark Cuban is wont to say, pigs get fat and hogs get slaughtered.

The NFL is traveling down this path.

  20. NJ49er says:

    Peter Green you say?
If you don’t own this CD, go get it. The remastered variety. Clarity on this in the day was awful.
Might have been a bootlegged version originally? Can’t recall.
Spent many a night cruising the NJTP (NJ Turnpike) with Mary Jane and this album turned up to 11.
Best song (IMO) is this one – Loooong but…MADE for cruising!

  21. NJ49er says:

This one is for Da Raidas –

  22. unca_chuck says:

Billy Gibbons really shines on this one.

  23. unca_chuck says:

Aaaand since I was thinking about it , , ,

  24. Winder says:

Lotta good stuff going on here tonight

    • NJ49er says:

I’m a junkie for music Winder.
My wife is going to disown me when I run outta room to store all the CDs I’ve managed adopt over the years 😀
Now I’m going after Concert DVDs to challenge the A/V-4K system I’m working on.
I’ll need counseling for my addiction soon me thinx 😀

      • NJ49er says:

Already have a few AC/DC shows waiting to be christened.

The Green Manalishi another 12:55 Mins

Good eff’n CD nonetheless. Remastered of course.

      • NJ49er says:

There were several volumes made from the Boston shows however. 3 perhaps?
Worth looking into if you like the Peter Green era as I did.
This specific show might have been 1970?
Might find some other play lists on the other volumes.

      • NJ49er says:

  27. unca_chuck says:

Sounds great NJ. Funny is seeing things like lost video of frampton/skynyrd that I was at at a day on the green in 77. There a whole bunch of black and white videos of from winterland in the mid 70s floating around as well.

  28. Winder says:

NJ- I figure you already know about this site but just in case you don’t. They have boatloads of live concerts. Some are good recordings and some not so good.
