And all the joy within you dies.
Don’t you want somebody to love?
I digress. But word out of Oregon (???) is that the Niners are going to trade up with the Dallas Cowboys to select Carson Wentz in the upcoming draft. I have certainly advocated to trade up, mainly because all these draft picks for Baalke has netted bupkus (or Butkus if you prefer), I wouldn’t trade up for Wentz. I would trade up for Goff.
I get the theory though. Might as well package those picks up for a dire need.
While this sounds nice, it leaves the possibility that the Rams take Wentz, and the Browns take Goff. Or vice versa. Trading with Dallas does nothing to get us either guy. They’re basically be in the same boat just by waiting in the 7 hole. The Browns are looking to trade out. If you are going to make a move, take their pick. This is a fairly lame article, but hey, slow times and all.

Trade up to Cleveland makes sense but I would be surprised if the Baalke makes that kind of move. He doesn’t like giving up picks. Perhaps Jed is insisting on a bold move.
I don’t have much of any JOY for this draft either. I doubt we move up in this draft, if anything I think we move back and take some big lump-lump who will never pan out.
The only thing we got going for us is that I think Baalke knows he’s on thin ice. The team has hemmoraged talent under him and he’s got to do something very good.
This is precisely why you stockpile Picks as a GM.
It’s money everyone needs, and wants, on Draft Weekend.
Look 3 years down the road when building a roster Boys…
NJ- that’s a good attitude and plan but I have absolutely zero faith in Baalky’s drafts. look at 2012 & 2013 drafts and you will see what I mean. It’s been three years.
If Cleveland opts out of Rams’ leftover, I’d deal up for Ramsey, Bosa or QB if coveted.
Still don’t see Goff as a franchise QB personally.
Go D
Like Bosa ? I went to high school with his dad John. He was a first rd. pick of the Dolphins in 87′
Why stockpile picks when the team has talent? If he had traded picks for ODB, great. But sitting on them and shitting them away on injured/project guys isn’t working out.
Using them now to get a QB would be prudent. As long as it’s Goff. I ain’t sold on Wentz at all. Fricking Connor Cook looks to be game-ready now. HE looks to be going to Denver if there.
Chuck the QB position is the toughest to project for a reason.
Until you find one, the rest is moot.
Probably the one position where stats mean the least and smarts/heart mean more.
It’s a mental makeup factor.
Kaep looked to have it early on too.
If they want Goff and have the shot I’m sure they’ll take it.
I wanted Wentz but never thought he’d go this high.
That’s why I don’t like Wentz at 2. He was under the radar until he magically rose to prominence based on chatter. Goff played against solid competition in a pro style offense. Wentz played in a D-II league against weaker opponents in a run-heavy offense.
Wentz threw some ungodly number of passes at the combine before the ball ever touched the ground. I’m assuming eventually one DID touch the ground, which hadn’t happened by the time I saw my last update, with the count around 70 – simply uncanny accuracy. He has the prototypical QB physique. Finally, Joe Flacco has a Ring, and he’s from Division II.
I’m just playing devil’s advocate. I want Goff, though I don’t see it happening now.
Wentz had better be able to hit moving targets with no pressure on him. Dan McGwire (Mark’s bro) came out of San Diego State and had the prototypical size (6’5″ – 235) as well. Didn’t help him for shit.
All I’m saying is, if we are going to trade up, trading for Dallas’ pick is retarded. I think the clown wrote the article not understanding the Tenn trade’s impact on the 49ers.
Glenn Hughes says he and Bonamassa are going to put BCC back together. Good news. I guess the timing of Bonamassa’s huge hit blues album and deep purple’s going into the R&R hall of fame did it.
Strike while the iron is hot !
That would be worth seeing.
I like Hughes from Deep Purple. Bonamassa is a purple fan and played with their keyboard player on his last CD
Joey Bosa’s great-grandfather was once Al Capone’s bodyguard
#1 Former Ohio State Buckeyes defensive end Joey Bosa is generally expected to be one of the top picks in the 2016 NFL Draft. He’s basically NFL royalty, following in the footsteps of his father, John Bosa, and uncle, Eric Kumerow, both of whom were first-round picks
Possible pick

Eagles traded up for #2 pick
That sound you hear is either a ) Wile E. Coyote on his way to meeting the bottom of a canyon; 0r b) the Niners chances of drafting Goff.
:I forgot this: https://youtu.be/_d8ROhH3_vs
Yup. Coulda been us drafting Goff. Oh well. No guts no glory. We get another Baalke draft.
Oh Shit. We aren’t drafting a QB. Cook in the 2nd probably doesn’t happen, as Denver will likely take him. I don’t want to think about the rest.
The Eagles sent five draft picks to the Browns. No. 8 pick in the first, a third-round pick (77th overall), and a fourth-round pick (100th overall) in this year’s draft, a first-round pick in 2017 and a second-round pick in 2018. Cleveland also sends a fourth-round pick in 2017 to the Eagles.
Another big haul for a hope and a prayer. Hard to believe Cleveland is banking on RG III. They’ll prolly take Cook in the 2nd, . Unless Denver gets him.
Quite frankly Chuck, I think Philly got fleeced to move up 6 slots.
But, if they’re sold on the guy they’re after, this is how the game gets played.
See what it turns into as time goes on.
As always, the Draft is a roll of the dice.
I can’t remember this much action for both the 1 and 2 slots. I thought the RG3 action was way over the top but this has really turned interesting.
We’re the early front runners for free agent CB Norman. Cmon Baalke !!!
Winder, i think the hype for Wentz is completely overblown.
USA today and ESPN say we’re favorite to get norman !!!

Josh Norman surprise free agent
Right. Getting Norman would be a huge plus for us. He’s on record as saying he loves the bay area.
And it’s really only between us and Jacksonville as we are the only 2 teams with enough cap space. And really, where would you want to live?
Just fucking do it.
