Let the (Pre-Draft) Games Begin!!

With Santa Clara free from the masses, and SF is letting the homeless back in, we now proceed to the first stage of the 2016 season. Wild-ass speculation. A of now we have the following free agent situation to deal with:

Unrestricted Free Agents

Anquan Boldin, WR
Alex Boone, OG
Reggie Bush, RB
Garrett Celek, TE
Phil Dawson, K
Ian Williams, DT

Restricted Free Agents

Shaun Draughn, RB
Michael Wilhoite, ILB
Tony Jerod-Eddie, DT
Ray-Ray Armstrong, OLB

Exclusive Rights Free Agents

Jordan Devey, OG
Kendall Gaskins, RB

In UFA order, I’d like to keep Boldin, mainly because he’s an instant security blanket for whoever is manning the QB spot. Sorry Dennis, not Manning. Boone has made noiuses that he wants to leave, but we’ll see about that. He had a so-so year, but that’s better than most of the rest of the dogshit line. Try, but not too hard. Bush? No. Celek? Sure. Dawson? Sure. On the cheap. We had problems, but FGs weren’t part of that.  Ian? Yes. I’m a little surprised this hasn’t happened yet.

RFAs? Draughn and J-E are solid guys. Keep ’em. ERFAs? Fuck ’em. Devey and Gaskins were bottom-of the barrel types.

Anyone give a shit? It’s either this or go directly to the draft hype-a-thon.

ONLY 79 DAYS TO THE DRAFT!!!

    Lets have more music videos.

  2. unca_chuck says:

Dubs roll! Down 5 in the 3rd even.

  3. unca_chuck says:

Here you go Nip. Stole this from Winder.

  4. rob says:

I want Emmanuel Ogbah with our first pick .
Anybody here like Joey Bosa ?

  5. rob says:

“On behalf of my family, the San Francisco 49ers organization and our Faithful fans around the world, I would like to congratulate my uncle, Eddie DeBartolo Jr., on his selection to the Pro Football Hall of Fame,” said CEO Jed York. “There could be no more appropriate setting for this honor to be bestowed on him than during the 50th anniversary of the Super Bowl in the region to which he delivered five Lombardi Trophies. Uncle Eddie’s impact on the game of football runs much, much deeper than simply the championships won by this franchise. He is the best owner in the history of the NFL because of the culture he created and how it still impacts the game to this day. Just walking through the city with him this week, you could see the love that remains for him from his former players, those his teams competed against, and fans from around the league. I think I speak for them all when I say, congratulations Mr. D. We love you.”

  6. rob says:

    Kap will be just fine

“Yea, that was disappointing because nobody fights for their team like Colin Kaepernick,”. He is a competitior at the very highest level, very similar to the two quarterbacks you’re going to watch in the Super Bowl in Cam Newton and Peyton Manning
“He’ll flourish,” former 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh said Friday morning during an appearance at Moscone Center leading up to Super Bowl 50. “He’s a great talent and one of the ultimate competitors, so he’ll flourish”

  7. rob says:

aside from Fleener and or Marcedes Lewis at TE here are a few other possible free agents i might go after.

    Alshon Jeffery

also these guys are out there
    Olivier vernon
    Matt Forte
    Russell Okung
    any thoughts ?

  8. unca_chuck says:

Love Alshon Jeffery. Liked Fleener coming out of Stanford.

  9. Winder says:

I have been trying to think of things to say about the Niners. But at this point I’ve said everything I have thought of saying. Until the organization does something I am in the dark. I really have no clue about our new coaches or the model of how we are going to rebuild. I also don’t have a clue as to who we should draft since we have so many needs. I guess until we make some moves I will stick to music video’s

  10. Winder says:

Still one of the best songs in the world to put on the headphones and turn it up all the way.

  11. Nipper says:

Yes! We have music…….Skeebers has Bullit.

  12. unca_chuck says:

This song was inspired by VU’s Heroin.

    According to Mick . . .

    • Winder says:

yeah, that is my favorite stones album.

      • unca_chuck says:

Yeah, from 67 to 73 every album was solid gold

        Beggar’s Banquet
        Let it Bleed
        Sticky Fingers
        Exile on Main St
        Goat’s Head Soup

I think it is the strongest set of consecutive albums by any band at any time. Throw in the live album that came out during this time (Get Yer Ya Ya’s Out) and you have 6 great albums.

  13. unca_chuck says:

Crazy shit, Winder. Buncha rich little boys stamping their feet to get their way.

What baffles me is the amount of non-shit Prince Valiant gets for actively trying to fuck over the Oakland Raider fans. Jed catches a lot of shit, and rightly so, but he did keep the team in town and never threatened to split at the drop of a hat.

  14. Nipper says:

How about Winder singing? Maybe he can sing something for the blog. Without the music videos this blog is dead meat. After all, Skeebs has Bullit and Sir Spit!

  15. unca_chuck says:

Is Spitty back? He vowed never to return.

How can they miss him if he doesn’t go away?

  16. NJ49er says:

    Strange things happening here Chuck…

  17. unca_chuck says:

Huh? Didn’t see any stray posts in the spam filter. just the usual drivel from the usual suspects.

  18. NJ49er says:

Chuck it’s the Network Proxy Police.
Keeps suggesting your site is blocked.
Yet, some posts get through, others, not so lucky.
Not sure why they block yours yet Skeebs isn’t Black Listed?
Things that make me go, Hmmmm?

  19. unca_chuck says:

I haven’t changed any settings on my side. Not sure how or why I’m on someone’s shit list as far as access goes.

    • NJ49er says:

No idea how these things get scrutinized either Chuck.
Network policies in these parts are somewhat curious.
Seems they block social media for the most part but, I’m not sure what differences exist, between your site and Skeebs’ to the naked eye?

  20. NJ49er says:

Tickets went on sale for HOF Induction Ceremony at 10AM ET on Saturday.
Spent an hour on hold only to be told they sold out.
Figuring all the Cheeseheads ran the table for Favre?

Still considering the trip though, just to be there for the daytime activities, as many of the players are out and about with the public.
We got photos with Deese and Keena for Jerry’s induction.
Saw Joe and Steve but no photo ops with them.
Gotta figure Eddie will attract many of the Old Guard so, we may still take a stab at it.

  21. Nipper says:

It’s President’s Day. What’s your favorite President? Mine is Warren G. Harding. Completely unfit for office, had crooked friends, and he died in office in the Palace Hotel in SF. And he died before the teapot dome scandal exploded in the news of the day. So the man had good timing. Apparently he cheated on his wife in the White House coat rooms. The man wanted his fun! Women for the first time got to vote and his handsome face was an asset. The man was a winner!

  22. unca_chuck says:

    Acute alcohol poisoning I’d presume.

  23. Winder says:

Lyndon Johnson, he was thrown into the furnace right from the get. Vietnam was gonna happen even if Kennedy would have lived. I think the man tried his best for the country.
