Good News (?)

Well, maybe. Depending on how you want the season to go. Me, I’m of a mind to play this shit out and see where we go. The news is that both Carlos Hyde and Anquan Boldin both practiced today and will play this Sunday in Seattle. Yes, Blaine Gabbert is our QB, and Jimmy T went no furthur than this game to say who his QB is.

This season is halfway down the tubes, but really all I want to see is some decent football. As much shit as this team has gotten for the thousands of problems, this team, like last year’s has been hit by a ton of injuries. And it hit the offense this year. Throw in an inconsistent line and an inconsistent QB and you have a mess.

Guess we’ll see how Gabbert does against a better defense than the one he faced. The big question is, well it ain’t that big, but it does have ramifications, what happens if these guys start winning under Gabbs? What if the team makes an improbable playoff run? Do we stick with the coaching staff and front office? Gabbert? Hah!

I seriously doubt it happens, but we’ll see. That’s why they play the games.

Yeah the schedulers are doing them no favors. They have the most back to back games as well.

Kaepernick placed on season-ending IR? WOW!

  3. Lurker John's avatar Lurker John says:

Dylan Thompson promoted from the practice squad.

  4. bigflavor's avatar Flavor says:

So are the Niners on the hook for the rest of Kaep’s deal cause he’s “injured” or are we free to cut this clown now?

  5. Lurker John's avatar Lurker John says:

I’m going to go out on a limb and say they wouldn’t have done it if doing so would cause them to forfeit the option to cut him in the offseason.

  6. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

He’s gone at the end of the season. Well, we are going to suck for the next 3-6 years. Kaepernick is NOT the problem with this team.

We’re fucked. If anyone thinks Gabbert will do anything more than be a placeholder for the next rookie flop that Baalke drafts, then hey go for it. Jesus Christ couldn’t run this offense.

  7. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

He wants out. He wanted the surgery. I don’t blame him one bit for wanting out of here.

  8. Winder's avatar Winder says:

I bet we give him away for a cup of coffee too. SeeYa Kappy.

  9. Nipper's avatar Nipper says:

BOO HOO …….no more Kap? NO more Kap tats? No more Kap personality? Damn Bakkentom-Bullit says “we’re skrewed !” What should we do?

  10. Nipper's avatar Nipper says:

Bullit -Tom a match made on Skeebers for all time. They think as one so they are one. Throw in Sir Spit and one has a full asylum of nuts.

  11. bigflavor's avatar Flavor says:

Gabbert is a joke and I no longer want Goff since I’m pretty sure the NIners would completely fuck up developing him. Probably turn him into another Gabbert. lqtm….
What I want to know is this: Do we have to pay out that 30 mil injury settlement? No one, including every single NIner beat writer I’ve tweeted, can answer that for me……

  12. snarkk's avatar snarkk says:

I’ve read where he has to be able to pass a physical on March 31 2016 in order for the Niners to be able to cut him and avoid his 2016 salary from kicking in. The torn labrum should take 4 months to heal after surgery. So, they are cutting it close…

  13. Winder's avatar Winder says:

What a mess this has turned out to be. Since it’s not my money I really don’t give a shit who gets paid what. But after all this fiasco I hope the players stick it to the FO. Maybe then when it hurts young Jedi the most he might just have to make some rational decisions. If Kappy goes to the Rams or AZ I think we are royally screwed.

Wouldn’t rule out a reunion with Roman in Buffalo either Winder.
Knows the Offense, can handle cold weather too.

      Best thing that could happen?
Get some interest from Philly, NYJ, maybe Cleveland, to bolster trade value before April 1.

I think there’s more to this fall from grace too.
Like Boldin, Torrey maybe Vernon, complaining about being ignored?
      Aldon and the Nessa thing?

      What a mess…

I really don’t think Rex wants him, NJ. Tyrod Taylor has been the find of the season in the NFL. Rex, after all these years, finally has his QB. If that’s not enough, Rex cut Tebow with the Jets. I don’t think he ever wants anything to do with a big, strong running QB with questionable accuracy (which is what Kappy is now).

      • NJ49ER's avatar NJ49er says:

        All about interest RT.
Pretty obvious to me he isn’t worth the Contract he’s working under now.
I personally don’t think he’s ever going to be comfortable in a Pro Offense.
All that matters now is, finding some compensation I guess?

We can lose out and, Draft top 5, for all I care at this point.
May as well see what we’ve got with Gabbert.

  14. snarkk's avatar snarkk says:

So, if Gabbert gets Globbered by the SHawks, the backup QB is a guy I don’t even know. If HE gets hurt, who would be the QB — Torrey Smith?…

    • NJ49ER's avatar NJ49er says:

I would think the plan is going to involve a LOT of quick hitters and running Snarkk.
Less chance of being sacked that way.
      See what happens.
If I can stomach it long enough to watch if course.

  15. Winder's avatar Winder says:

NJ- Maybe Gabbert can run our supposedly revamped offense. One thing about watching the games now is that no one expects anything good to come out of it. The game might even prove to be fun to watch, there are still quite a few players with something to prove. When your already lower than slug slime there is no where to go but up.

    • snarkk's avatar snarkk says:

Agreed. Looking for individual performances now. Who is worth keeping, grooming. As I noted before, I’m find with some competitive games, but lose all of them to get a high draft spot…

    • NJ49ER's avatar NJ49er says:

      Pretty much Winder.
Kaep simply doesn’t possess a feel for the timing.
He’s holding the ball or simply unsure where to go with it.
Not seeing things well enough to be a threat with the pass.

We should see something with the short passing game later today.
      I hope.

  16. snarkk's avatar snarkk says:

Niners are heading into another winter of discontent — should last for a few years. Lost too much talent, organization in disarray. The entire front office should be canned, but Baalke seems to have some Rasputin-like hold over Prince Jed…

  17. Nipper's avatar Nipper says:

Hark! ……We’re KAPless! ……Bakkentom-Bullit says we’re screwed like them. At least we’re not Skeebers. We have our standards over here.
