Game day 2 – Steel Town Homecoming

Week 2 of the Niners season is Jimmy T’s homecoming. Back to Pittsburgh. He’ll have a bunch of support from friends and family but not from the rest of river city.

As i suspect early on, and through ateast half the season, no one will take this team seriously nor give their opponents any points. The Niners get 6.5 for this one.  Actually smaller than I thought, given the 3 point home bump, and the supposed superiority of the Steelers.

hey, you never know. The Niners have won 5 of the last 7 meetings .

Well we saw everything go right last weekend and everything go wrong today. Especially with the Defense. How do you give up 43+ points!!

  8. Lurker John's avatar Lurker John says:

Kap is winging it right now. 300 yds right around the corner.

Yeah this one pretty much hangs on the defensive backfield. 5 50+ plays.

Not much rush either, but 200 yards for Brown, the guy you NEED to account for?

They aren’t quitting. Seems minor in a blowout, but it’s important.

Jesus. Red zone concerns haven’t been dispelled.

Well, I missed the game. All I could gather was 37:00 Niners TOP. Check. 1 TO vs. 0 for the Steelers. Check. Worthless: 78% for a zillion yards, 3 TDs and a perfect passer rating. Aha.

Broken collarbone for Romo. First Dez, now Romo. Tough luck, Jerruh, maybe next year. Though you’ll stay in first after today, 2 games ahead of the Gints and Iggles (1 on the Redskins? How’d that happen?). The Eagles regular season offense with Bradford has to be the worst in the league even with all those weapons. If this keeps up, Kelly is not long for the NFL.

TEEEEEEBOW! I can hear Philadelphia from here.

A comedy of errors – Philly gets a huge play with a steal-the-ball-from-the-receiver fumble. Next play, shotgun snap with no one on the line set and Bradford not looking, setting up his receivers. What do you call it when nobody is ready for the snap except the center? Oops. This is against the Eagles’ chief rival. Pa-the-tic.

I couldn’t watch today’s game. I get home to watch the debacle on DVR and it didn’t record. Anybody know when the NFL Network is re airing it?

  17. Nipper's avatar Nipper says:

Sir Spit is calling Chuck and Berger “morons” and “kiss asses.” Not very kind indeed!

Recognize the source, and the agenda attached to it Nipper.
Most of us live to see success in the face of these monumental changes.
Others take pleasure in the pains associated with those changes.

Chalk it up to a very bad day at the office.
Tom Coughlin is 0-2, as is John Harbaugh.
It’s the NFL. It ain’t easy.

Awww. Poor Bakkenspittybuwwit. Only themselves to play with.

  19. NJ49ER's avatar NJ49er says:

Tampa Bay goes into NOLA and bests Peyton and Brees too.
Sooner or later people are going to realize what a tool Rob Ryan is.
Hard to digest Peyton and Brees putting up only 38pts through 2 games, while Ryan’s Defense has allowed 58.

how did ODB-idiot get in here?
