I see this Season starting with lots of motion and ground attack.
Our OL is going to take time to adjust to the new system, however, a WCO should help them once Alex and the WRs get into the necessary rhythm.
Game 1, lots of Gore and Hunter, 9ers win a close one. I do expect Harbaugh to take some deep shots though, VD and Braylon will be a nice duo.

Actually tweeting your own team sucks is what a pussy would do. And a pretty stupid one at that.
By logic expressed here often, the guy hiring the loser is the real loser. If the team sucks, York sucks. He should have tweeted “I apologize to the fans that I suck so hard at my job.”
You want to extend the military analogy to if he was in the military and tweeted his own team sucked? You probably don’t, but most anyone with the sense of a stone could understand that such a tweet reflects most brightly on the guy at the top. That’s Jed, if there was some question. Jed apologized to the fans for a poor performance. I appreciated that. I would not expect you to understand that it is the fans that pay for the teams existence. Coaches come and go and football goes on. If the fans go the owner must sell. It was a thoughtful tweet.

I put up stats the other day proving Kap has been on par with the very best QB’s to this point in his career, only Brady put up better numbers, and that not by much. Map has also won more road play off games than Montana and Young combined. Taking into account Kap has managed to do this in a Roman/Harbaugh offense I find that astoundingly good.

To compare him with Eddie is a double-edged sword IMO.
Eddie was as volatile as they came as an Owner.

Times have certainly changed over that span as well.
For me, an Owner needs to be respected by his employees to have success.

But, to earn respect from your employees, it might have been more appropriate to do as Eddie would have done. Be in the Locker Room, have your say, just do it face to face.
I think there’s more respect associated with that dialogue within the Locker Room, not shared with the Universe.

My point, again, is the respect element with ALL employees.

With all the crap that was taking place, off field issues, media reports of the pending doom awaiting Harbaugh, you name it, the Tweet just added more unneeded pressure.
It’s not whether Eddie would use Twitter, it’s an Ownership dynamic of being on the same level with your employees.

Somewhere within the team dynamic, Jed/Trent/Harbaugh, the Owner should ALWAYS have his players’ attention, in a good way.
Very plausible that Harbaugh sought to destroy that relationship too.

Sorry NJ, we just don’t agree on this one. The owner has every right and it was appropriate, to apologize to the fan base who came out to support them, after that horrible performance at home against the teams nemesis via tweet or whatever medium he chooses.
It was crystal clear to fans that that effort and result was unacceptable and perhaps more importantly the players, coaches and HC were put on notice and deserved to be.

You keep equating Jed with Irsay based on 1 tweet. That is one heck of a stretch for me. Irsay is a drunken, drug abusing rich boy with a toy. Jed is an executive who conducts himself fittingly.

The 49er defense put the team in a hole in the first half, namely on a penalty that gave Baltimore a second chance to score a TD, which they did. Kap threw for 300 yds, a TD and he ran for another on a spectacular play. Yeah, he threw the pick at the end with a wide open Delaney Walker standing 2 yards deep in the end zone right in front of him, but I think the Niners not going to Gore on first or second down, or both, in that goal line sequence is what killed them. Folks who think throwing your own team under the bus, to make yourself look like you had no part of that team, is leadership, don’t have the first clue about leadership or leading men.
There are many ways to handle a failed effort. Trying to play it like you aren’t part of it is just chickenshit. That tweet was no more than cover for Harbaugh’s impending departure anyway. So chickenshit x 2.
Where does the ‘Super Bowl or nothing’ line begin?
I think what York threw himself under the bus as much as he did the team. I don’t see it like that. I think the tweet was a poor decision, but there’s no indication that he was trying to pass the buck. If anything, he was shouldering the blame himself. It was a very frustrating night for all Niner fans that night, especially for one like me who live in Seattle, culminating in the world’s biggest ass fuck Richard Sherman eating turkey at midfield after that game. That pissed me off as much as anything and I’ll never understand how that was allowed to happen.
I guess it’s a matter of opinion whether Jed threw the team under the bus. I believe his tweet took ownership of the problem since he said “I” apologize. He did not blame others, he put the onus on himself. In doing so it was a message to the coach and the team. Excellent leadership. Eddie would have just fired Harbaugh and been done with him. That would have been how Eddie would have sent a message to the team. Yet some think he threw the team under the bus. It is interesting how one situation can be viewed so differently by so many.
You beat me to it Berger. Jed apologized, as owner of the team. That is not a blame, it is acceptance of righteous dissatisfaction from the fan base that had been evident before this game and certainly following it.
Calling out particular people be it HC or players etc would be passing blame. He did not.
