Getting Rid of a Case of the Crabs

In lieu of anything really happening, let’s take a look at the free agent pool. The 49ers have 15 of them, including one Michael Crabtree.

Me. Leans has had a fairly bumpy ride here in SF and I don’t see very much of a chance he stays. First thing he did this offseason was remove anything ’49ers’ from his twitter account and any social media tool. Not the move of a guy digging his situation.

He’s a solid WR who runs good routes and has great hands, yet has always to me at least been the receiver of s perception problem. Starting with his holdout in 2009, his missed camps, his throwing of A Smith under the bus in 2010, to various whines to the press, he comes across as a diva.

Nothing near the level of TO or Ocho Cinco, but enough to say adios. Thing is, he wants out. And sure he’ll find more money than the Niners will offer. Then again, he didn’t do much to cement his status as a boba fide #1 WR in any if his years in the league. One big year out of 6 won’t get you a Megatron deal.

The niners best hope for keeping him would be a one-year incentive laden deal. This could very well happen should the market for him prove to be soft. I doubt it, but in today’s NFL anything can happen.

Come on let’s be real here the bottom line is Jed York is a classless, silver spoon, punk that has no idea what he’s doing. As a Lifetime Niner fan here I’m grieving hard over this franchise and I just can’t sit back like the rest of you and support a young, little punk that can’t do his job effectively. Just like what’s taking place in Washington how do you hold someone like this accountable when all that spews from his mouth is a bunch of lies.

He’s another Rich kid throwing his weight around, sadly some companies have losers like this hanging on while making you believe that their 30% effort is actually 100%. I was impressed with Jed York initially not anymore!

Berger, Jed’s Christmas Card would read something like this:

Dear Jed, what can I give you that you couldn’t buy yourself with all of your mom and dads money. I hope this didn’t ruin your lovely Christmas but you and your evil family ruined 12 of mine. I understand that you hire Coaches in a quick fashion like when you buy one of your employees a present at Christmas time, Fast, Cheap, with Little effort but you can only fool people for so long.

You need to ask yourself how any successful would any business be if they kept bad employees like this. As your Uncle Eddie would contest to, by keeping bad employees around you set a bad standard and send a message that ultimately may mean your good employees if luckily found don’t want to work for you anymore.

The standards and tradition that you let fall by the waste side should have been you first responsibility and only shows your lack of inability to do your job properly. Why don’t you do all of us 49er fans a favor and sell the team to someone who actually cares.

    Love,
    The Die Hard Fan Base

Waah! FlyingV is whining about entitlements again!

  4. NJ49er says:

All that matters to me is, whether Jed will seek to employ ‘football guys’, over ‘Yes Men’.

No Owner in this League knows diddly about the daily workings of the NFL.
They’re all rich guys with big ego’s and, bigger bank accounts.

I simply want him to seek ‘football guys’ and let them handle it.
Spare me the Tweets, spare me the promises.
Pay those guys to find the players and Coach them up.

    Don’t interfere.
I get it if you couldn’t deal with Jim on a daily basis.
Just know that this game requires a degree of patience as well as a good balance of chemistry and talent.
Be prepared to take the heat if you decide to abandon ship and start over.
Don’t just line up new pawns for failure, because you can’t give them a fighting chance to succeed.

    • NJ49er says:

      Harbaugh is history.
      That ship has set sail.

We’ll give Tomsula a chance to show his abilities. So too, should Jed.

If he can work better with Trent, let them have 2-3 years to find their way.
Don’t turn around next year, thinking it should have been fixed immediately.

  5. Alleykat says:

The top Billionaire Owners that want to win, just writes the checks and don’t interfere with the coaches and GM’s. That’s why Kraft,(Pats) and others are constantly in the playoffs and SB’s while meddling idiots like Dan Snyder, Jerry Jones, Porn guy Arthur Blanks, (( Falcons) are not along with many more.

    • NJ49er says:

That’s it for me too Alleykat.
I don’t doubt that Jed is passionate about his team.
Jerruh and Danny Snyder are too.

As stated, I just want him to spend his money on improving the Team through good Coaches and Players.
Write those checks and support them 100%.
Don’t try to do the job for them.

  6. Nipper says:

Just like the owner, I too demand Super Bowl winners every year……just not the Niners. Throw the Raiders a few bones once in a while.

  7. Nipper says:

Ice hockey in Santa Clara? What do people see in this sport? Just a bunch of Russians and Canadians showing off. I hope they have a big fight.

  8. izzy70 says:

The Niners are looking at another 7-8 years of mediocrity and all us fans can do is either embrace it or stop attending games period. Our owner and GM showed a successful coach the door and they’ll find out in a hurry to be careful what you wish for. Players and coaches win games in the NFL, not Owners and GM’s with inflated egos.

Jed York, like his father before him, is, and always will be a joke, “you can put lipstick on a pig, but it is still a pig” The Santa Clarita 49ers have destroyed their fan base, and rule the team with absolutely no passion for the game, now it’s just a matter if you’re going to let yourself be fooled again or not.

At the press conference, lil’ Jed said “we all take responsibility for the actions of our players, off the field. That’s not the 49er way.” If that’s the case, why wasn’t Balkie fired. He is the one that drafted these individuals. He should be held accountable. Notice the difference between the house cleaning the Pete Carroll did with the Seahawks and what it accomplished compared to owners who just go through the motions.

  9. unca_chuck says:

Waaaaaaaaaaaah! Poor Flying V! Saddled with whining for another lifetime. How many Super Bowls did Harbaugh win again?

Santa Clarita is in LA you nimrod. Which is where they could have ended up if they didn’t get the stadium built here.

But whine away, you pathetic little fuck.

    • 12th man says:

What has he been bleating about the last 4 years? Was all good? Nothing to complain about until Harbaugh mutually parted?

Serial whiners like him are a waste of oxygen.

    • Nipper says:

      Sniff…..sniff….sniff…..Boo Hoo!

  10. snarkk says:

Crabby can move on. He’s a #2 or a #3. Good hands, but lack of speed hurts, and he seems always PO’d about something. So, take a walk. He’ll do better with a more experienced QB and an offense that actually looks to pass, and gets plays in before the play clock is at 8 seconds to go…

  11. unca_chuck says:

Crabs is a decent 2. He’s not gonna get big money. But I think he’s gone as well.

The only way he comes back is if he doesn’t see a big multi year deal and signs for 1 here. Unlikely but possible, a la Dashon Goldson.

    New thread is up.
