We are still in playoff mode as the season progresses, and one has to wonder if the team can keep winning without a viable offense. Washington is another team that is a bottom-feeder that we should dispatch with ease. Thing is,, this team is always doing things like fumbling after a lengthy drive, 2 TEs crash into each other and neither catches the ball, drops, penalties, missed blitz pickups, botched snaps, asinine play calling, the list goes on. Funny thing is, the quarterback is catching heat for this. Some of it is deserved, as Kappy seems to hold the ball too long sometimes, and he has been off target more than usual lately, but a lot of it is on the other payers.
Gore never fumbles, but he did. Boldin is as sure-handed as a WR can be, and he dropped 5 in one game. The line is the best in the league, til they are injured beyond belief, and can’t block a toddler. VD and Crabs are in various states of pout mode. And the red zone offense continues to be an unsolvable mystery.
Through all this the injury-riddled defense keeps plugging away. Yes, another game that I say we should win going away. Still waiting for that to happen this year.
Wow. What a fucking piece of shit effort so far. The offense is beyond awful, and now the D is allowing that nutbag RG3 to make passes? This new stadium is a jinx so far
Niners should beat this POS outfit by 3 TDs…
Fangio should dial up pressure on this QB every freeking play. If Aldon Smith is near him, he bails…
Brad Seely was supposed to be a great STs coach. Since he came along here with Harbs, I haven’t seen any particularly “special” special teams. The first season, game one I think it was, we had two runbacks for TDs against Seattle. Since then, pretty much pfffft. Andy Lee was a pro bowl type punter before Seely ever showed up. I fail to see what Seely has added to the equation…
Right. He’s skittish every play. They should just keep up the pressure.
I can’t fucking take this. Let’s go conservative and start from the 10 again.
How to play stupid football. The coaching is awful. We can’t return a punt or kick without either starting from the 5 or committing a penalty.
Jesus H. Christ. Tommy Lee Jones looks like he’s 120-years-old in that commercial.
Can’t be more than 114.
AZ’s brown drops a TD pass.
Hyde fumbled once, so I suppose he won’t get a touch now the rest of the game…
The only throws Kap can complete with consistency are short slants to Bouldin or Crabtree
That last completion to Boldin he stared him down on the right side from the get go. Somebody could have been wide open elsewhere, and it wouldn’t matter…
And there you go. Facing a blitz, a slow developing play.
Close but not quite. Take one shot to the end zone.
WTF kind of clock management was that by Jimbo?
He fucking makes Mike Smith of the Falcons look like a geneous.
Harbaugh: you fucking idiot, should’ve just gone for it with no TO
This is getting critical. Well that worked out about as good as possible.
Miami is beating the shit out of the Peyton’s.
Can someone explain what was going on there at the end? WTF kind of clock management was on that? Crabby saved it with a great catch — he catches those, but can’t seem to catch a routine out on his numbers…
That was the correct way to play it. You don’t want to leave time on the clock for Wash if they fail to convert.
Didn’t they have enough time to run the clock down to a few seconds, and then just run a Hail Mary into the end zone — if it’s incomplete, the half is over? They could have even taken a delay of game, and Kap still throws it into the EZ on the Hail Mary…
Well, they wanted time to kick a FG if possible. Which is what happened. If it was not 4th down, they would play it different.
Jimbo fucked up that clock management. No two ways about it.
I could tolerate this kind of offensive incompetence in the Nolan/Sing “eras”, those were just off the charts bad talent teams. Frickin Erickson didn’t have a lot to work with, and he dialed up a lot of scoring, because the Niner D was so bad. Here, the Niner D is studly, and the O talent is far better than what Nolan/Sing had, yet it looks absolutely lost most of the time. WTF is going on here, Chuck?…
I swear, if Dennis Erickson were the OC on this team, we’d be pounding this POS opponent 24-7 by now…
I just don’t know anymore. I’ve seen Kappy make nice reads and get the ball to the right guy. I’ve seen us block well at times, but then I see Kappy staring guys down, holding the ball too long, and making mistakes. Throw in shitty blocking, not stressing the run, and stupid play calls and you have no consistency. In the end I think this comes back to the coaching. We can’t field a punt or run back a kickoff without getting called for a penalty. We just can’t seem to get any offensive flow for any amount of time. The defense is doing about all it can to win games.
Nolan and Sing had plenty of talent. No burners however. Sound familiar?
Can this team get a drive going in the 3rd quarter?
No flags!!!!!
