Talk about an unraveling. St. Louis was supposed to be the next up-and-coming team in the vaunted NFC West. They had some coaching continuity with Jeff Fisher and co, Sam Bradford was set to shine, they have a stout defensive line that only got stronger with the addition of Aaron Donald, and they added O line depth with 2nd overall pick Greg Robinson.
Unfortunately, Sam Bradford’s season was ended with another knee injury, Chris Long is out with an ankle injury, Erstwhile backup Niner Shaun Hill came and went with a quad injury (no, not like Ozzie’s), and the Rams are down to their 3rd string guy, Austin Davis, a guy who looked good against Dallas (30-42, 327, 3 TDs) til he threw two 4th quarter picks, including a pick 6, to salt it away for Dallas. Speaking of Dallas, thanks for the tarnishing of the 12th man and beating Seattle in their house.
St. Louis, with all their defensive line firepower, has a total of ONE sack in 4 games. Curious at best, but that makes me a bit uneasy. Wonder if they miss Michael Sam. Still and all, if the Niners are going to progress offensively this season, they need games like this to put an end to the offensive woes. Score early, score often. Win by 21. Dallas did us a big favor, so we need to take advantage of that. Go 4-2 and get 1/2 a game up on Seattle is a good thing. We need to keep pace with AZ. Lose this one, and it just makes everything harder.
But as the SF Giants proved, it isn’t how you start, but how you finish. This team is actually doing much better on defense than I imagined. Time for the offense to step up.
Lol.
And Kap throwing off his back foot again gets rewarded for a bullshit PF call. Ball should have been picked off. Thank Christ it’s the Rams shitty secondary.
Repeat after me: This team is not SB worthy. It’s just not. No.
Then go away. Turtle up. Pussy out, Why do you watch, you pathetic fuck? God damn. I’m sorry your life is so sad that all you can do is talk shit about the team you supposedly root for. Give up. Leave.Please.
Fuck. Harbs can’t put a team away to save his life.
Run up the middle on 4th and one? Twice? There’s some creativity.
And with the game on the line, up the middle. Gore;s out. Everyone’s getting hurt.
Maybe losing to the Broncos by three TDs and having Manning just ruin our secondary like Ron Jeremy did to so many vagina’s will wake some of you people up.
This team is not equipped to win a SB. They’re not. Plain and simple. Coaching, QB play and a secondary that seeps like a sieve would get ‘cha to the first week in February.
But don’t fret. We’ll all get to enjoy Katy Perry during the half time show while the Broncos and Seahawks consider strategy and adjustments for the second half of their Super Bowl rematch.
But it’s nice to know we’ll still have Bo Schembechler™ as our HC.
Yer pathetic. Sad. And gone.
You and Spitty are done here.
Brilliant. Harbaugh is the weak link here. He doesn’t like to win big. he likes to play from ahead and not get too far up. This is fucking ridiculous.
I’m completely losing my faith in Harbaugh as an NFL coach.
Bailed out by the defense again.
Hard to read this team but inconsistency is not a good thing. I think we have the ability to be very good. Once again our D is gonna have to save our butts. All in all a great win.
I just don’t understand the insistence to go up the middle when everyone knows it’s coming. They can do many different things other than run up the middle on 4th and 1.
This was another game we should have put away midway through the 3rd, but couldn’t. This bit us in the ass before (Chi, AZ) and it will again unless Harbaugh understands that you don’t put games away by going 3 and out. Or 4 and out. We threw all game because the Rams were loading the box. They were STILL loading the box when we tried to run late. Dumb.
Parts of our running game have been driving me crazy for years, LOng before Harbs got here.
Wow, I just read this blog start to finish after the fact, what kind of fans are these?
What a come back game that was. Kap had a great game and I think we can put to bed the idea that he is a one read QB. The O is really starting to sync, not a finished product but can put points on the board.
VD didn’t look ready to play and probably shouldn’t have.
D had a tough first qtr but from there on were pretty solid. Fangio does a good job of adjusting.
Can’t complain about beating a division opponent in their stadium, never easy. Wait and see on the injuries list.
They are the gone kind, 12th.
New thread is up.
I loved the stat they showed during the 4th quarter. The Niners are the ONLY team to not score a TD in the 4th quarter. Doesn’t Harbaugh understand that if he puts the game away, his Defense won’t be under such pressure to win the game. keep the Defense rested for the season.
