Game Day! But it ain’t us (boo)

I swore I just heard this: “Live from Head Lice stadium . . .” I’m forgoing the pre-game hype, but thought I’d throw up a thread anyway. The longer this down time goes on, the more I think the Peytons have a chance to win. I’ll say 27-20 Denver.

    Recap of SB XLVIII –
First modern era outdoor venue in a cold weather venue.

    NJ – No Snow
    Seattle – No Contest
    Denver – No Show

Chuck here’s an interesting look at how many of the current QB Contracts impact their respective Cap situations.
Interestingly, I don’t see Russell Wilson on here?

What makes the highest priority for me is, the % amount vs. the Cap over term.

Contacts can be inflated to show impressive total amounts. Much of that number is Fluff.
What kills you is the guaranteed money, naturally.

The more you guarantee, the longer the term should be in order to absorb the yearly Cap hit.
Kaep being young, can certainly be considered for a longer term IMO.

Thanks. That’s good stuff. There certainly are ways to hide/defer the real money in a contract. I used to give Maraage a ton of shit, but he’s become invaluable in his contract dealings.

    I found Russell Wilson –
He’s signed through 2015 at almost $3M/yr guaranteed.
Not going to break the bank at that price right now.

Yeah, I was gonna say his rookie deal has him through the next 2 years, but I didn’t know the $$$.

The reason I like the Rodgers scenario is it hedges the bet for both sides. Kappy would get his payday now, but not be locked in for 7 years and thus tie up long long term $$$. And if he lights up the world, we can renegotiatae in 3. I guess long term really doesn’t matter as the money at the end of a contract isn’t really real anyway.

Funny thing I heard this morning was Stephen A Smith (my son digs him for some reason) saying yesterday’s game certainly puts Colin Kaepernick’s game 2 weeks ago into sharper focus. In that Kappy totally outplayed Manning.

But really that bar is laying on the ground. I think Carson Palmer and the Cards would have done better than Denver yesterday.

Plus, I’m real glad they gave the MVP to a defensive guy. No one on Seattle’s offense did much.

Apropos of nothing, here’s Bullitt’s existence in a nutshell:

Flip flopping again? Last month you discounted the significance of Quinton Patton improving his draft stock at last year’s Senior Bowl workouts when I brought it up.
Now you’re 180 degrees opposite and citing how players did in this year’s Senior Bowl?
You are just trying to be a troll as usual I see.

Of course, candy-ass Bullit/Redbull/Touchdown Tommy will never post here under his real name. He needs to hide under the skirts of his protector, Skeebers. Funny, I sure got the impression that Skeebers and Bullit may be the same person, based on this ‘exchange’ a few days ago:

To me it looks like Skeebers doesn’t realize he’s responding as Bullitt. The timestamps are 10 minutes apart, and Skeebs is trying to troubleshoot his blog.

    Speaking of GOTCHA!

Skeebers is not one of bullit’s many personas. Comments referred to post on previous blog.

Whatever. Looks like yer right. Or maybe you are all of them . . . Hah!

    Don’t give a rat’s ass either way.

Anyhow, new thread is up. . . .
