Cue the Star Wars music. This, I suppose is the official game 1 of the Colin Kaepernick era. If you don’t know the story, it’s a pretty good one of a kid born in Milwaukee, adopted and raised in Turlock, CA. He was a phenomenal athlete no matter what he did, and was an outstanding pitcher and all-league basketball player at Pitman High in Turlock. He was recruited by a bunch of colleges for baseball and basketball, but only University of Nevada Reno offered him a football scholarship. After a stellar college career, he ended up as the only guy to evern throw for over 10,000 yards, and rush for over 4,000 yards in a college career.

While Sybil and Sybil’s hypocrite doppleganger would like to make the case that a guy who made his first NFL start two games ago must be mistake-free to justify his heartless hostile takeover there’s the minor problem of them both having had to make excuses for way too many of them for eight years for the guy that got benched by the coach they held up as the QB expert, Smith’s best friend and the best thing to happen to Smith in his enitre career, only yesterday it seems.
For some delusional fans everything in the football world can only be viewed through the Alex Smith prism, no matter how foggy or rose colored it turns reality.
Both claim they’ll root for the guy under center no matter who he is or how he earned the job, but their posts since the upgrade put the lie to that hysterical bit of posturing.

It’s true I desperately need my beauty sleep as Man is quick to notice BUT, and it’s a huge but, IF by chance old phil isn’t ‘with you at the game’ 2am Monday morning it will be because this cyclone is bearing down on us.
