Hurts pass incomplete short middle to A.Brown was a gift . . . The only way this guy’s name would ever be in lights is if his parents had named him EXIT.

I see this Season starting with lots of motion and ground attack.
Our OL is going to take time to adjust to the new system, however, a WCO should help them once Alex and the WRs get into the necessary rhythm.
Game 1, lots of Gore and Hunter, 9ers win a close one. I do expect Harbaugh to take some deep shots though, VD and Braylon will be a nice duo.

Roast the Birds. That is all.
Yeah Baby, Bring it they will, they will be carving up Raven for Thanksgiving!
Yeah I said it!
Enjoy your day guys. I’ve reserved it all for football-no guests, no bird, I’m having a burger and I do have some pumpkin pie from a neighbor..
I’m cooking a bird today. Why I really don’t know. It’ll keep me busy and out of (most) trouble until our late kickoff. After that, all bets are off.
Happy Thanksgiving
we win 12-10
No Playoff seeding help from the Lions: Boy Named Suh just got his ass tossed from the Packers game for a total effing idiot penalty.
n-dumb-o-kong suh is a moron ! i’m glad we didn’t draft him !
Aggressive Under Control is excellent. Aggressive and Out of Control is worse than useless.
Weather won’t be an issue tonight in Baltimore: Clear, low 40’s and nary a breeze.
No excuses for when Alex throws a Pick 6 tonight.
But I’m sure I’ll hear some anyway.
Time move on to a new routine, Denny. BTW, Choker Boy has 2 picks in 8 passes…
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Just for fun:
Predictions for the scoring on this one are all over the map: from blowouts both ways to close Niner win. Grant sez 30-3 Niners. Dennis switched from Ravens -5 to Ravens -21. 27-6.
23-22 Niners grumpyguy
19-13 Niners phil
20-17 Niners da mighty chuckster
21-7 Niners Kevin
20-13 Niners snarkk
12-10 Niners rob
3-0 Niners Mystery guest??
17-9 Ravs barleyfreak
I know there were some I missed; just throw yours up here. Go Niners!
17-14 Niners twinfan1
What was Choker Boy Fan’s pick, Phil?
He had Ravs winning by 5 then switched to them winning by 21 = 27-6. He musta got a raise from the front office for his good work!
Chuck went the opposite way dropping his total scores from 27-24 to current 20-17
(Anyone changing scores during the game will be labeled a Pathetic Wuss by some guy in the Philippines)
Flavor 23-10 Niners
winder 24-16 Niners
I’m on record at my blog that we win 23-10. And if it wasn’t T-giving and I wasn’t feelin’ all fuzzy-wuzzy then I might not have gotten myself to that score. But, I’m standing by it. I have 2 t-giving dinners to hit, one at the Ritz in Half Moon Bay in about an hour and another one in LAH at 6. I will lay low at a buddy’s house for the first half. I’m already feelin’ a lil’ car trouble coming on during that trip back from half moon bay 🙂
Funny how that works on a big game day…
“No excuses for when Alex throws a Pick 6 tonight.” Well, the Ravens are a tough bunch.. but is this the same pick six he was gonna throw in games 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10?
lol
If Alex doesn’t throw a Pick 6 tonight it’ll be because he was already driven off in a meat wagon. Take your pick, leg or wing. The Ravens’ D is going to yank one of them off Alex’s body tonight.
Pass the gravy.
Steve McCroskey: Would somebody please tell me what in Sam Hill a woman is doing up there in charge of that ship?
Jacobs: Well maybe she’s got her ship together. “Airplane II. The Sequel” (1982)
Would somebody please tell me what in Sam Hill Moran Norris is still doing playing FB for the 49ers? Because he sure in the hell doesn’t have his ship together. The S.S. Norris couldn’t even sink. It never got afloat in the first place.
I guar-an-damn-tee he’ll mook-up at least one play that’ll cost us tonight.
Helpful Denny cooking tip #1: add some grated Parmesan when mashing your potatoes. And be extra generous with your butter and cream. Cholesterol be damned.
Is that one of your favorites when you pretend you eat?
How do you keep the mashed potatoes from sticking to your George Foreman Grill?
I honest to goodness do have a George Foreman Grill. However, I only use it for my rotisserie chicken. Comes out mighty tasty if I do say so myself.
If one didn’t know better, you’d swear that Rob Ryan was the HC of the Cowboys by the number of times he’s shown on the sidelines. He gets at least 10x the coverage than Jason Garrett. But I’ll admit that animated fat fuck makes for good TV.
Everyone else is looking forward to a good football game, and DTD is looking forward to our QB getting injured..
24 – 16 Niners. Go Niners.
NY better watch out. Dallas just passed them.
4th Q GW drive by Tony “Promo.” But the goddamn mook didn’t score me enough FF pts. Somehow Tony keeps winning, but my teams keep losing. I’m cursed I tell ya. Cursed.
I think that’s reason enough to threaten his life.
I have candied yams that I made myself and a sweet potato pie with a whole can of extra-creamy whipped cream courtesy of my nest door neighbor for dessert. But I think I’ll hold off until after our game.
It’s past 5:00 now. And as Sinatra said in “The Joke Is Wild” as he played the late-great Joe E. Lewis…”it’s post time.” *
*He would say that every time he raised his class to drink.
Cheers.
“The Joker is Wild”
my fantasy football team is the goddamn joke.
Don’t feel bad, I’m tied with Chuck in the race for the bottom. But my expectations are a lot lower than yours
Phil, you’re doing an admirable job in your first go-around as an FF manager.
Me? I’m the admiral of the S.S. Take a Dump.
I like that Mike Mayock. He knows his stuff. He’s especially insightful when it comes draft time at the Senior Bowl and the Combine.
The Ravens and their crowd are in a small frenzy. Need a stop here to calm things down a bit…
A little stuffing with that turkey of a run?
Nice job by the D to hold ’em to 3. Ravens came out strong. Now it’s our turn to watch Alex in action. I have 9-1-1 on speed dial for when the Ravens turn him into mincemeat pie.
Andy Lee has been our MVP for three years running. I’d hate to think where we’d be w/o our great punter. ST as a whole have done an excellent job this year.
OK a lame request. Anyone know an online feed for the game? Kostaz on justin tv has been shut down I guess.
Cheers Chuck and go 9ers
Bozo I’ll post some links but nothing is working very well over here due to bandwidth issues

Shit. That pussy of a rule cost us 6 pts. Chop block? Fuck that. The NFL continues to get more like Fredrick P. Soft every minute.
And we just caught a break on that “illegal block in the back.” This game sucks more and more each day. I liked it better when you could HIT SOMEBODY w/o fear of penalty.
Yeah Soft in the heads of the refs
bad time for the website to dump
Keep me posted Del my audio is shit and no video. Twin will love the play by play, hahar
T. Brown INT nullified by a PI call. I’m telling ya this game has been pussified.
Yeah this is piss poor not to mention no audio/vid. 2AM/5AM gametime lookin better
Adam Snyder is hobbling and it’s showing in his play. He’s getting taken out to the woodshed al a my fantasy team these past four weeks. OL as a whole is getting waxed tonight.
Intercept by Brown?
Ticky-tack PI call. They’ll be getting fitted for skirts shortly…
Tu-tus? Scary thought
Great stop by CJ Spillman on 2nd and goal. Loss of four..
Stoopid-ass 3rd dn call of a QB draw. Flacco looked more confused than usual.
FG good. 6-3.
OK, man I’ve lost total track of this game. Thanks
Niners have still not yielded a rushing TD this season. That was an exceptional stop by CJ, a guy who usually is relegated to ST duties.
TB. 1st and 10 49ers at the 20…
TB?
touchback.
Right. thought you meant safety but saw score still 6-3
Gore up the gut for 2. 2nd and 8…
3 mins left in half>
Great play by Alex to escape the sack and complete for a 1st dn. 2:00 warning.
Snyder held on the play. They should have called holding…Oh well.
Smith low throw to Frank. INC. 2nd and 10 from the 31…
alex
COMP to Ginn for a 1st dn at the 43… 1:30 and counting… Crabs for 9. 2nd and 1.
COMP to VD. 1st dn at the Ravens 40…
Alex throws OB. 2nd and 10 32 secs
Be nice to score here B4 half
go on 4th roll smth
Hey there rob
Sorry, I think missed a dn. 4th and 3 after short gain by Gore. Niners going for it…
Ravens 12 men on D. 1st dn 49ers on the 35. 18 secs…
Alex INT in the end zone. Great coverage by the corner. Braylon never had a chance.
Poor throw.
dang
DMD – I do love the fact they went for it.
Ravens take a kneel. 6-3 at the half.
I gotta go put my food away. Be back for the 3rd Q…
ok
edwards should have played defense there ! we’ll win this imho !
Yeah, maybe still banged up?
Braylon did a fine job going for that pass,.Jesus Christ The least he could have done is knock the fucking DB on his ass and take the penalty.
VDE should have gone OB on that pass. Edwards sure didn’t go after the ball there.
Oh well. Some shit worked pretty good that last drive. One of our TEs should be getting open.
2 really ticky tacky penalties killed 2 big plays for the Niners.
we’re going to win this 13-12
The Niners should think about more no-huddle.
we’re going to win it 13-12
they took away our TD !
Phil, there’s a setting to not post more than 3 urls at a time for spam purposes.
If yer gonna post ’em, do ’em one by one . . .
Ok. Yeah put 3 up, didn’t work. Tried 1 and no luck but maybe Bozo got the one w/o www in front?
Phil, did your coconut connection come back? Or would you like some more of my “play-by-play?”
OK at the minute but don’t like what I’m hearing on da Coconet…thanks
Smith sacked for the FIFTH time. 3rd and long…1st DOWN! COMP to Crabs for 17.
Great throw and catch…
Snyder out Chilo in
OL shakey like you said Del
crabs
go alex
6 sacks. Regardless of the outcome I know one thing for sure…
we don’t deserve to win. Akers again GOOD from 50+.
Who was it again that said we should sign that guy, Rob? 😀
rob was smart enough to grab him for the FF team
FG guess it’s ok
Most of these sacks have been total jailbreaks.
Yeah they are picking on AD and CR I hear. Real test of the O
DEL there’s your boi akers
PHIL watsup
Hey man, coconut internet weak but trying to keep up with our guys
I hope everyone had and is still having a Happy Thanksgiving.
This isn’t the best well-played game by a long shot, but it is keeping me on the edge of my seat.
Fucking 3rd and 7 and we went a little prevent and Whitner didn’t make the tackle.
LEARN HOW TO TACKLE!!!
phill you can listen to knbr too
Shit. Gotta give credit to Flacco on that 3rd dn. Great catch by their TE for the 1st..
we need a play
Nobody accounted for their FB on that play. Moran Norris might have caught that ball. I said might have.
Shit. ANOTHER good throw by Flacco for the 1st dn.
He’s out-playing your guy’s Alex by a good measure tonight.
Actually not- 75 YD called back on the BS penalty. And we haven’t pressured Flacco. You’re totally FOS The diff is we’ve been beaten by both their lines..
Fuck. We only rushed 3 and Flacco mad us pay. I’m not liking Fangio’s D tonight one iota. Where’s the blitz? I know not blitzing last wk vs Zona was the thing to do, but that was the Cards. Baltimore ain’t the Cards. Flacco ain’t Red Skelton.
Whitmer has the INT if he plays that right. And very little pressure on the QB again..
16 plays 76 yds. Needless to say, that’s unacceptable.
Maybe we should try, oh, I dunno…BLITZ THAT MOFO!!!
the refs owe us one !
i would rather see reggie smith in the redzone there
Seven, I repeat SEVEN sack yielded tonight.
We’d be better off with that fat fuck Bubba Paris in his current state playing tonight.
Our OL blows. Hey, Rob. “call me Ishmael” and watch our OL suck like Moby Dick tonight.
Safety blitz Whitner
3rd and 4 and again Fangio only rushed 3 and Flacco burned us — AGAIN.
Shitty fucking defensive strategy tonight. Mickey Mouse all the way…
Now the DL is wearing out?
DEFENSE
As I warned for a few weeks- if we don’t pressure the QB, a suspect secondary will be exposed eventually.
FUCKING REFS
Can you believe all the stores that are starting “Black Friday” at midnight tonight?
Going shopping at midnight tonight is a shittier idea than Fangio’s defense tonight.
So we start blitzing and stop ’em, what a concept, huh Vic
And John Harbaugh reciprocates with his own shitty 3rd and 1 call.
WTF stretch that out so our D can make the stop? Run that shit straight up. Shit. Even a Flacco QB sneak would have sufficed. I think the tryptophan has clouded the coaches judgement tonight. Chuck could call a better game while he waited to get rejected at the whorehouse tonight.
Maybe John knows Jim more than Jim knows John. We’ve had no answer for their blitz and they seem to know when we’ll pass, even if it’s not a traditional passing down.
That’s part of it and our D was not well coached or/and wore down. Tough game on road
Magic 8 (Ball) sacks tonight. Lucky Alex fumbled that ball OB.
I’m starting to get flustered. I wonder if our OL is feeling flustered as well?
I haven’t even looked at the stats all night. I’d prefer to keep my Thanksgiving dinner down.
That’s the game. Nice effort. They will need a lot better pass defense to beat GB.
Beat GB? You won’t have to worry about that. The 49ers won’t win the divisional playoff game to get to GB. God help ’em if they have to face Tony Romo again.
Another 3rd dn conversion. Bowman missed the tackle that led to the RAC.
And now Ricky Williams is getting in on the game. He’s older than TF fer chrissakes.
Check out Flacco’s stache. I didn’t know he had that look. Fucker has a horseshoe on his face. No wonder he’s kicking our ass. Any of you guys ever get kicked by a horseshoe? I’ll be goddamned why they consider that thing “lucky.”
OL back to where it was before Snyder went in
Fitting.
Hey, Chuck. You were just off a few days with your “We’re on a mission from God” thread. I caught the “Blues Brothers” on the tube early this Thanksgiving morning. I never can pass that flick up regardless of how many times I’ve seen it before.
Ted Ginn is obviously not on a “mission from God.” He’s on a mission to continually drop passes at the WR position. He should be relegated to Special Teams, and Special Teams alone.
See you next week all.
Absolutely. Always a pleasure to chat with you during our games. See ya next week for the Rams. Good luck with your FF team. Could ya spare a RB or two? I’m a little light in that dept.
Cheers.
Sorry I’m hogging all my RBs. I mean holding them in reserve.
Rams okay then, 10-2.
Best
Well that sucked.
The blessing if there was one was that we didn’t have enough bandwidth to actually watch the game. Sorta listening and reading the blog that was enough…
But good to have company!
9-2. Who we got next?
Rams, then right away @ Cards and Steelers at home.
10-2 after Rams
11-2/10-3 after Cards
Steelers on Monday night will be our chance to show we improved after this one. At which point we will be 12-2 optimistically or more realistically 11-3.
The San Francisco 49ers at 11-3 likely winners of the NFC West on December 19. Deal with it!
11-4 after Steelers if we lose, sorry. I blame the Qb, actually the rum
Great Tgiving dinner. Glad I missed most of the game, apparently. Did see this last drop by Ginn. I guess he catches every other ball that hits him in the breadbasket. He needs to stick to running back kicks and punts. Whatever, SF was in tough in this game– so sack it up and work harder for the division win…
alex has a rapport with him , but you don’t go to ginn there !
He has to go to the only fucking guy open.
ginn is notorious for drops in situations like that ! he shouldn’t have been in on that play
Yeah Roman stuck on stupid? What gave him the confidence Ginn could catch anything that matters? Yep, jack shit…
rob I lay it off to the coaches still learning their players. Following you thinking it will get hella better. They will keep Ginn on ST and only ST
Can’t win in the NFL if you cannot fucking pass protect.
Very disappointing. And not encouraging for the playoffs.
Yes we need help on the OL. Snyder went out and we immediately regressed but they were getting sacks on us with Snyder in there.
170 total yds and 2 of 12 on 3rd dn conversions.
As a casual observer, I’d be inclined to blame the quarterback.
Of course you would , what does your shrink say about that?
How was the brined turkey?
Very curious game plan on both sides of the ball and zero adjustments.
Side note: Gore was stumbling all over the place. He’s had 5 games now where he’s been a total nothing. And this can’t be blamed on stacking the box- he’s often falling down or stumbling without contact.
But both lines sucked and that needs to fixed tor the postseason…
Brine? I don’t brine shit. I’m a butter man myself. I’d say my turkey mostly resembled that of Bobby Flay’s recipe. A little thyme, a little marjoram, a little olive oil and a shitload of butter to coat that sucker. Very flavorful w/o overstating.
Did you know that Bobby is very involved as a thoroughbred owner? Yep. He’s assembled himself a nice little stable of quality runners. Just how good? Good enough that his filly (More Than Real) won the Breeders’ Cup Juvy Turf two years ago.
Sorry, Dennis, but Flay looks to me like an overrated hack. His restaurants generally get horrible patron reviews…
Brined turkey was outstanding. 14 hours herbed brining overnight. Herb rub w/light canola oil on the skin going in. 475 degrees initially at 1/2 hour to brown up the skin, seal it. Then back off to 350 rest of the way. Pull out of oven at 163 degrees internal. Sit for 15 minutes, carve and enjoy. Moist as all get out, could taste the herbed brining in the meat…
Nice
Bleeeh. Didn’t like the defensive scheme very much. Too much soft underneath. They didn’t play terrible, but not nearly enough pressure. One missed tackle by Whitner really hurt.
The O line was awful. Losing Snyder hurt bad.
the defense played well enough to win … 16 pts!
Not enough pressure on Flake-o, agree. D wore down and we started missing tackles. O couldn’t hold the ball long enough.
Rob- well against their D we needed to hold ’em to 5 points which wasn’t going to happen.
