There seems to be a lot of talk about Cleveland and their 3-3 record. Yeah, their defense is pretty good numbers-wise (9th in points, 4th in yards allowed), but it comes on the back of wins over 0-6 Miami, 0-7 Indy, and 2-4 Seattle. A whopping 2-17 in their 3 wins. The Niners? 15-11 in their wins. Their 3-3 record comes against teams that are 13-25 collectively. The Niners 5-1? 18-14. There was talk of our schedule being pretty easy, but so far a couple opponents have surprised. Cincy being one of them.
The Niners seems pretty much of a mind to get the lead early, and wear down Cleveland in the 2nd half. Sounds like the old familiar Walsh days that have been gone so long. Colt McCoy isn’t exactly tearing up the league, and their running game took a hit as Peyton Hillis reaggravated his hammy in practice on Wednesday, and is a scratch for Sunday’s game.
Barring complete weirdness, this game should be a fairly easy 24-10 shut down of a not-very-good offense, and enough from our O to coast to victory. Something like 105 from Hunter, and 120 from Gore. I’m sure Harbaugh has designed some new schemes that Cleveland wono’t be ready for, and that the Niners should get on top early.
20-16 Dawg Pound (do they still have that in Cleveland?).
I haven’t picked the Niners to win since Week 1. I’m not going to jinx ’em now.
Added bonus prediction: Montario Hardesty (filling in for the injured Hillis), of all people, will rush for 100+ yds and break the Niners consecutive streak (28 gms) of holding runners < 100 yds.
Special FF bonus prediction: If Chuck starts Shaun Hill (he has him slated to start as of now) at QB, his 1-game winning streak will be but a distant memory.
Fucking No Whitey got me one point last week. How much worse can Hill be? Stafford goes down yet again.
We will see how focused we are after the bye week. Cleveland has one of those teams that can play very well at times and then not so good at others. There D is good. I look for a tough game and one that is pretty close. 17-14 Niners.
Hard to see Cleveland doing anything offensively. Chuck’s call looks to be the closest.
How about you twin? Got a score for us?
I think this is an easy win. 20-3 Niners win
omg ! i had the misfortune of watching seattle vs. cleveland , with my brother the seahawks fan ! wow , 6-3 ! what an awesome offensive display !
imho the browns are a way less talented version of us ! or to put it another way they’re a wanna -be 9ers ! they have a scrappy MEH quarterback , like to run the ball and play good defense !
we might not be the best team out there , but i say we win …my pick is 49ers 13 cleveland 10 !
I don’t see us scoring less than 21 or da Brauns more than 14, probably no more than 10. Sticking with 24-14 but 30-7 wouldn’t surprise me.
Hey twin while back you said you were looking at playoff match ups. I’m asking again even tho Del Mar bestowed the Mora video rant on me. Maybe you were just pulling old Dennis’s chain.. He and Ratto seem to think FPS is gonna be in charge pretty soon.
Watch it, Phil. We’re going at it this week in FF. You don’t want me to take you out to my woodshed an open up another can of whoop ass. I still haven’t cleaned up the mess from the time when I taught Spitblood a lesson. CSI is still gathering evidence from that carnage.
Speaking of beating somebody silly…if I see one more of those goddamn Occupy Protesters I’m going to tie them up to the Stanford Tree, break off a switch and whip that sumbitch till their own mother won’t recognize ’em.
I’m prepared for another trip to the woodshed especially since I goofed up let you get E Manning. I hold my head high knowing I got a game lead on old Chuckster
I don’t have a score, I’m being a gracious guest and giving it to Chuckles. I’m not feeling well so maybe I’m missing something. What or who is FPS?
Frank Paul Santangelo?
I don’t think he moved to D.C. just for the Washington Nationals.
Wishing you good health twinfan. Take care of you
See the last post. Frederick P Soft. It;s either Harbaugh;s mythical gremlin, or Dennis nickname for a certain part of his anatomy.
Atlanta, Phil
