! ! ! ! Can’t get any lower. Still I feel I’m sinking ! ! ! !

Outshined by Chris Cornell and Soundgarden. The theme song for your SF Giants 2026 team.

In a season full of pitching debacles and crushing losses, they managed to pull one out for the ages.

Yes, the biggest blown 9th inning league in the 125 year history of the team. They were 2,208-0 when leading by 6 or more in the 9th. Til today.

Up 9-3 in the top of the 9th, the team could not even get an out before Cincy tied it. Bivans came in and really had no clue. Not sure why whoever the interim manager even was didn’t pull him a little faster, but I think it was pretty obvious Bivens didn’t have it. He gave up the longest home run into the cove that I’ve ever seen. Then again, Smith came in and nuked the joint. And the rest was errors, walks and general rookie ball crap.

I guess the lockout is a blessing.

For Dolly . . .

As much grief as we give the Giants, the Blue Jays have only won 4 more games than they have. These guys almost won freaking WS last year vs. Dogs. They could still get into AL playoffs, but wtf is up over there?

    • blade3colorado's avatar blade3colorado says:

Conversely, the Chicago White Sox, perennial 100 loss seasons (3 straight) are the “Cinderella” team this year. Not certain though – that they have sufficient pitching to maintain their 1st place position in the AL Central? Regardless, great story thus far . . .

Even Vlad jr is flat this year. Strange.

Arraez is our best player. Certainly our most enjoyable. And given his contract our most marketable. Losing him in July makes perfect sense, given the way this season has gone and is going.

Pfffttt! The difference between McDonald and a vacuum is you have to plug in a vacuum to get it to suck.

    • alleykat69's avatar alleykat69 says:

You can go cordless now but obviously theirs no battery juice in McDonald’s pack, so yeah he sucks!Next chump up for the 5-6 spots from hell..It’s revamping the whole pitching staff starting with Whiz,Wilkerson &Whitman..

Did Jays request extra batting practice?

  5. djloo27's avatar djloo27 says:

Obviously we all have texting buddies that we’ve made here and it’s kind of a shame that so much stuff doesn’t make it here for everyone to enjoy, hate or whatever…

  6. xoot's avatar xoot says:

young McDonald has a WHIP, eeeyow! probably a league leader

  7. blade3colorado's avatar blade3colorado says:

In all seriousness, a shame about McDonald. I remember when he came up late last season from Sac and he pitched 6 or 7 scoreless innings against the Bums. Fast forward to this season, that early promise has rarely been seen.

Really too bad Devers didn’t get an RBI on that bases loaded nobody out DP.

    • djloo27's avatar djloo27 says:

Why can’t the official scorer just do what he wants?

      • James's avatar James says:

I think in this case giving the scorer discretion would create too much fuzziness. Adames gets his RBI last night, but Devers doesn’t get the RBI because the DP snuffed out a chance to make the game competitive? What if he’d hit a 107 mph one hopper to SS?

Deciding between a hit and an error is baked into the circumstance.

      • James's avatar James says:

BTW, ChatGPT disagreed with me earlier, reasoning that using run expectancy to justify giving the hitter an RBI on a DP was weak stuff. It used some fancy math to humiliate me. I then asked it how many times on average a team sees first and third no outs over a season. The answer is . . . about 31 times. I then asked how many extra runs would a team score if it did not hit into any DPs in that situation. The answer: from 3-5 runs per season.

Gary Pettis for Borg is the best trade Buster’s made in a long while.

Anyway, Jockey is having a huge sale on multi-packs…

Never have enough underwear since the Giants create a lot of skid marks watching them play..

      • djloo27's avatar djloo27 says:

You kill me, Kat and btw good job on ’58 Giants – think you only missed Ray Jablonski, Hank Sauer and catcher Bob Schmidt…

    • blade3colorado's avatar blade3colorado says:

Both of you – I discovered Goodfellow boxers at Target and that’s the only boxers I will buy going on a 1/2 dozen years.

      • Paul Sorensen's avatar Paul Sorensen says:

Yeah, Steve, me too! Every trip back to the US, I shop at Target. Fuck all the boycotts from any side. Goodfellow brand for all clothes is actually very good and affordable. The boxers are wonderfully comfortable. Massage girls like them too for their flared, easy to slip hands under, design…. haha.

      • blade3colorado's avatar blade3colorado says:

Right on Paul! I was buying from Costco (forgot the brand? Hanes, maybe?), but the SOBs stopped stocking them. Fortunately, a friend of mine told me about this Goodfellow brand, that was “roomy” and inexpensive at Target. Revelation! Better even then the ones at Costco and less expensive too.

      • unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

        you wear underwear, Paul?

      • Paul Sorensen's avatar Paul Sorensen says:

Of course, Charlie, I’m no savage…. although oddly enough, I didn’t during one period of time in my younger years, just lettin’ it all hang…

      • Paul Sorensen's avatar Paul Sorensen says:

It’s up to the massager. Some of them immediately yank it off. Others keep them on for a bit, just warming up…

      • djloo27's avatar djloo27 says:

Sounds like Paul has a lot more happy endings than our bullpen…

      • unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

        Paul the yankee.

  11. djloo27's avatar djloo27 says:

This’ll never happen but Yanks are floundering and desperate for a 3B. Fan base is extremely disgruntled. How about sending Chappaquiddick back to the AL along with Robbie Ray and some cash and we’ll take back the injured Rodon who’s frustrated the fuck out of them from day one but would have to waive his NMC…

    • alleykat69's avatar alleykat69 says:

I’m in on that Loo anyway to open up a full time spot for Schmitt at 3rd base his best position works for me..Mets owner is Cohen might bite cause he won’t stay put blowing his billions away on his shit teams.

My other thought you keep Chapstick trade Gatorade Adames to Braves their desperate at SS (Kim total bust..Dubon more utility player Braves like to move everywhere)send them a boatload of cash were take back a prospect are 2 , Schmitt full time SS and Chapstick at 3rd pretty solid left side. The one tricky thing on Chapstick’s he has a no trade clause without his approval, and I believe Adames doesn’t?

I’m just jockeying for position I guess?

Speaking of Jockeys..What’s the difference between Michael Jackson and a Jockey?Answer..It’s legal for a Jockey to mount a 3 year old!

    • blade3colorado's avatar blade3colorado says:

      “Chappaquiddick”

      HAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!

      • djloo27's avatar djloo27 says:

I was hoping to put that one over but there’s competition pouring in from all sides!

  12. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

Rehab Rodon again? Sounds good to me as long as we dump Chapsuck.

  13. xoot's avatar xoot says:

Will the Giants be in last place at the break? My guess, no. I see a glorious three of five ahead.

last time I stopped by the WS trophy case, it felt very much like a visit to a graveyard.

  14. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

Come on Atlanta, do it again!

They have 10 of our guys already.

  15. xoot's avatar xoot says:

chances are pretty good that platinum glover Chapman will take an extended Ramos-like rehab, enjoying time at home with his wife and new baby, and then return to a slightly reconfigured team officially proud to have his veteran presence (and Tourette’s level humor) back in the dugout, with four more years of it, at a bargain-rate cost of $100 million total, to come!

can fans vote to revoke Webb’s AS appearance? Talk about a guy who needs a rest.

  17. Macdog's avatar Macdog says:

Just a guess, but I don’t think a second straight Pitcher of the Month award is in the offing for Webb.

  18. djloo27's avatar djloo27 says:

He seems like the classic get ’em early or else ace…

Pulling for the no hitter by Cease, Giants need the extra humility!

And any fucking trades better include Walker as a throw in to scrub the toilets ..
