Game 5 – Seattle Seattle Seattle Seattle

Measuring stick game? Sure. Important? Sure. Purdy’s revenge? Yeah, I can see that. But as we all saw last year, we started out on fire and slowly cooled as the roster was decimated by injury. So far this year it’s the same. When healthy we can play with anyone. And frankly, the 3 best teams in the NFL are the Niners, Seahawks, and Rams.

The Chiefs remain the best team in the AFC, mainly by attrition. Buff can’t stop a JV team now. The Browns? Jags? Ravens? Maaaaybe. If Lamar can ever finish a playoff game.

Point being, it’s too early in the season to put too much importance on this game. Sure, it would put us in great standing, and it would give us bragging rights, but the wonks and haters will come screaming out of the walls should we lose. But with 12 games to go, way too much can happen between now and the playoffs.

Much healthier team for sure. Of importance though is Purdy’s 2-4 record vs a Mike McDonald-led defense. If we can run we can win. Sea’s run D is poor.

Niners 28 – Seattle 20.

This game will tell us just how really good Shanny is at play calling. Seattle defense knows us probably better than any other team in the league. I don’t have a clue how this games gonna turn out but I think it will be our toughest game so far.

Super Bowl Win, Purdy Please
