Quinton Bell, Come On Down

The 49ers signed another pass rushing DE in Quinton Bell, to a one-year deal. This is great from a depth perspective, as Mykel Williams looks to be on the shelf for the first 4 games. He seems to be a perfect match for the Raheem Morris defense as he can play OLB in a 3-4 and DE in a 4-3, and even move to the line in 5 man fronts. He also can drop into coverage at 6’4″, 253 lb. Versatile at least.

Nothing much to report from camp, other than as of yesterday, Nick Martin is getting the 1st string reps as the strong-side LB, and Connor Colby is getting the 1st string LG reps. This of course means little, but it does mean something.

Jesus. Crystal Todd Shell 2.0. From the 49ers webzone. Might as well get started on the injuries early to avoid the rush. The guy didn’t miss a down in college and he can’t get on the field now.

The 49ers are dealing with several injury concerns early in training camp, including setbacks for wide receiver Ricky Pearsall, running back Jordan James, and safety Malik Mustapha.

Makes the Stribling pick all the better. James isn’t a concern, but Mustapha is.

Mustapha and Pearsall appear to be non-contact injuries. IOW, getting ready to GET on the field.

I swear to god this team forgets to stretch before going balls-out in practice.

It’s the same shit over and over and over.

I missed Kirk going down with a calf injury.

Sooooo Deebo and BA ? I’m kidding. I think.

As far as I am concerned, Pearsall is a bust. Made of glass

I think he should have had surgery last year and they didn’t do it. I think he deserves another chance after surgery. I mean the dude got shot before he made rookie camp. I think this is more on the FO than anything else but then wtfdik.

Yeah, thing is, though, he was running on it and doing cuts and things. Makes me wonder more about his offseason prep.

  6. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

Looking that way. Dude didn’t miss a game in college.

Stribling looks like the number 2 on the charts with Evans,I liked the pick he’s tall, strong and physical unlike Pearsall and yes I agree he should of had surgery in the offseason cause now he’s knee is jacked up!

They have to get production out of Cowing,Watson and Robinson, cause Kirk is very iffy with the calf injury maybe IL for 1st 4 games?

Speaking of injuries do you guys think with Shanny’s Concussion symptoms it’s wise for him to take a 16 hour flight to Australia for the opener?I say skip that game..

  8. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

Yeah, that may be a problem. he should be over the symptoms by then.

    But with concussions, it’s unclear.

Deebo Samuel is coming back to the Niners

I1 year up to 7 M deal, I like the signing for sure especially with Pearsall probably going under the knife, and an another experienced receiver to help out Stribling and 3 dudes(Evans,Samuel,Stibking)that will block down field as well..Aiyuk can eatt dicks now, fuck this nightmare and end it with this clown!!🤡
