If you look under the banner, You’ll see #! GIANTS PAGE. Click that and you’ll get a new page that looks an awful lot like this one, but it’s separated out from the main page and has its own threads.
Trying to see if that is editable and all, but we’ll see how this goes. Lemme kow what you think.

September 7, 2011 at 7:40 pm (Edit)
I see this Season starting with lots of motion and ground attack.
Our OL is going to take time to adjust to the new system, however, a WCO should help them once Alex and the WRs get into the necessary rhythm.
Game 1, lots of Gore and Hunter, 9ers win a close one. I do expect Harbaugh to take some deep shots though, VD and Braylon will be a nice duo.

Unc, I can’t post on it . . . Unless I am doing something wrong? No problem clicking on the link, but it is blank insofar as being able to post.
Weird. All my other pages allow posting. I;ll check
Fixed it. Thanks for being the guinea pig, Blade!
Good job!
Eldridge with that 2-out RBI hit giving more evidence he’s a big leaguer right now. He needs to play every day, regardless of lefty/righty oppo pitcher.
And, Chapman with an RBI double — What is this world coming to?…
Thanks Unca!
hey, whatever makes you guys happy.
Nice one Chuck, looks like it worked out.
Training camp starts Jul. 26th and it’s June 4th to me this is the longest stretch of nothingness for me. Unless we spend some of that cap money and snag a couple of good players.
The canceling of mini camp is new. Shanahan typically gives the players the last day of mini camp off but no mini camp suggests they might be taking the injury thing seriously this year. Like Winder said its going to make 9er football pretty quiet but if it helps prevent the mass injuries I’m all for it.
I read today that Aaron Donald is thinking of unretiring and playing for the Rams, like that D needs even more star power. I guess we will see.
So, they only have the rookie mini camp (this last May)? Also, maybe just me, but I think they should not have stopped having mini-camp in Rocklin (1998 or 99 I think???). Football players have it too easy today in my opinion. Rocklin made the 49ers the toughest team annually working out in that usually 100 degree environment.
Just as long as they don’t bring back the nutcracker. But then again when Singletary was having us do it I don’t think we had the injuries we have had lately. Personally i think it’s because the money is so big now and the players don’t need to play with minor injuries. I really have no idea why we get so many injuries. I think if I was a player and got hurt on an artificial turf I would sue the owner of that team and the city for making me play on that stuff. Maybe that would wake em up, or maybe not.
Yeah just the rookie camp, then training camp. Its a lot of time for players to get out of shape and into trouble but hopefully stay healthy, gunshot wounds excepted of course.
They needed to do something about the vast amount of injuries every year but apparently changing out the head of the training staff, John Lynch’s buddy, isn’t one of those things worth considering.
McVay has his new facilities in Woodland Hills opening I think this year. Thats the hottest part of San Fernando Valley, summer temps can easily hit 110f so that’s one side of it but the other is he doesn’t risk his star players in pre-season games or work them very hard in camp.
It could be coincidence but the Rams are consistently one of the healthiest teams and the Niners are consistently one of the very least healthy teams.
I just don’t believe there’s that much coincidence in it, its method.
McVay has the right idea with this Woodland Hills opening. Again, Rocklin made the Niners one of the toughest teams in the league annually. I still remember Roger Craig introducing Rice to the legendary brutal 2.5-mile uphill trail. Rice later made it an iconic cornerstone of his Hall of Fame training regimen. I think they called it “The Hill” workout, located somewhere in Redwood City hills.
Edgewood Park . . . Barry Bonds grew up near there in the Emerald Hills neighborhood of San Carlos/Redwood City.
I miss the Nutcracker. I used to love running it and Bull In the Ring in high school.
We called it smear the queer in those un-PC days, but yeah, I really don’t know how to stop the flow of injuries this team regularly runs in to.
Wish there was an easy answer, but with the death of Thomas Herrion the whole suffer-in-the-heat thing went out the window. Plenty of teams don’t practice in the sweltering heat, but with all the nutrition knowledge, supplements, and scientific wonders available, you’d think guys wouldn’t get hurt so much.
This is predicated of course on the cheap-ass fucking owners still playing on fake grass. The Jets and Giants are the worst perpetrators of this fiasco as dozens of players have gotten non-contact injuries on that shit.
Yeah, that park is Edgewood Park in the Redwood City hills. Used to go there all the time when I lived in San Carlos.
I don’t see nothing but an improvement at the Catcher position.Haase has 4 bombs and 9 RBI’s in only 40AB’s and hitting 280..So already killing Bailey’s Stats..
Bailey if you call it hitting is at .145 2HR’s 9 RBI’s in a combined (Giants/Guardians 122AB’s) then you add Susac’s .333 Average spraying the ball to all fields and really showing improved defense and throwing out runners and making great picks on are shitty pitchers bouncing throws 3 ft in front the plate and Haase a seasoned Veteran makes a nice combo to use effectively,u need 2 good catchers in a long grueling season and the Giants have that now..
New thread is up. Also a new Giants thread.
