Well, we traded down twice out of the 1st round, swapped a 4th for a 3rd and gained a 6th round pick. But there are still a lot of good players available.
My son thinks we are going with Boston. I think we go with Howell. Could still go O line with Chase Bisontis. Safety with Emmanuel McNeil-Warren or Treden Stukes. Reading the Chron this morning they referenced the Niners 1986 draft.
No 1st round pick but they nailed it. Wow. A few small-school guys thrown in the mix.
Round 2, Pick 39: Larry Roberts, DE (Alabama)
Round 3, Pick 56: Tom Rathman, FB (Nebraska)
Round 3, Pick 64: Tim McKyer, DB (Texas-Arlington)
Round 3, Pick 76: John Taylor, WR (Delaware State)
Round 4, Pick 96: Charles Haley, DE (James Madison)
Round 4, Pick 101: Steve Wallace, OT (Auburn)
Round 4, Pick 102: Kevin Fagan, DE (Miami)
Round 5, Pick 131: Pat Miller, LB (Florida)
Round 6, Pick 162: Don Griffin, DB (Middle Tennessee State)
No wonder they called Walsh a genius. This is one of the best drafts in NFL history.
wtaf? Did we trade again?
we were on the clock a long time before that trade
I am now reading the Niners traded Dee Winters to Dallas for pick 152. 5thround
we got a 3rd and a 4th for that trade #70, 107 for pick 58
I can’t find where the Niners next pick is
Right now 67 th pick barring another trade
Winder is right #70 unless we trade for Laura Rutledge
They do things their own way, courage of their convictions and all that jazz.
I didn’t see a single mock draft anywhere for WR Stribling to the Niners.
Romello Height DE, Height garnered first-team All-Big 12 honors in his only season at Texas Tech, primarily serving as a stand-up edge rusher. He has a very quick first step and is light on his feet. He has a good combination of pass-rush moves mainly based on speed. He can run the loop, counter with a spin move or slingshot off offensive lineman using their momentum. Height has good hand usage to swat and keep blockers off his chest. When offensive linemen get their hands on him, he has trouble disengaging and can be overpowered. Height doesn’t have true knock-back ability, but he can harness some speed to power. Once in the backfield, he displays good closing speed to the quarterback. He has the ability to drop into coverage, but it’s not his strong suit. Overall, Height has some quickness to serve as a designated pass rusher but could develop into a more impactful run defender. — Scouts Inc.
We gotta start feeding him and make him live in the weight room.
He’s a definite project with a lot of upside
Agree on both need to put a lot of meat on his bone and pump more iron, but hell he’s a speed rusher for hopefully for Bosa. So let’s get that OG still praying 🙏 for Oregon OG Pregnon but do the Niners give a shit?
big gap between #33 and #70 and WR and 239 lb undersized DE. All those name’s of DE, OG , EMW at 1st graded FS gone. OG Pregnon will be gone before the next pick at #90.
Enjoy the night.
Hope you’re having a most happy birthday there, Charlie!
Sorry to interrupt the draft, but Doogie still sucks.
Yes he does. Dump this stiff already. .
Fuck it I’ll take the red headed mullet kid Dunker as an OL !!Well fuck you Jaguars just took Pregnon!! man I’m pissed 😡
My goodness another 3rd RB
round
Well they went WR and DE and although I didn’t necessarily agree with the particular players over some other choices it is what I figured they would do. For the rest of the draft I feel they just need to go BPA regardless of position, this team needs a new batch of stars in the worst way and thats the best way to find them.
I’m not a fan of trading our 3rd best LB away because its almost inevitable the bench will be needed.
Other than that, meh.
Jesus are those 49er kids making the picks in the Warriors Room?? WTF I know Shanny needs his boner massaged early at RB but this dude Kelon Black is a 7th rounder are UDFA player!!
They really need to ban Kyle from the room. This guy is another in a long line of 3rd RB called who dat?
Meanwhile, the Giants are getting spanked by the Fish 8-0.
Making a come back 8-3,
Shit-house getting slaughtered…
No idea how this MOFO stuck for 11 years in the show.
This draft has been a disaster for us. For edge would like to pick up 5th year NYG Thybidoux to salvage our edge on other side of Bosa. He is 6’5″ 258 and draft pick #5 in 2022. Overpay if needed.
Lynch prefers day 3 picks over 2nd Rd for Edge and OG. When does the lynching party start. Oh and the trade down giving up EMW for FS.
#94 WR Chris Bell to MIA
#96 OG Gennings Dunker to Steelers
Big fuck up by Schmitt.
Lee having quite a night! Bomb and going 3 for 4.
I never know who they are going to pick. RB in the 3rd round? Again? I should really have know it was coming. Not happy with this pick. IDK, doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results? Hope to eat crow, but my bet is that he’s forgotten in two years.
did Lynch suffer concussions in his playing days, is a mental health checkup needed.
players higher than a number of online scouts have them ranked. Stribling was rated as the No. 68 overall player by Daniel Jeremiah of NFL.com and the number 76 overall player by ESPN.com. Former NFL receiver Steve Smith (more on him in a bit) projected Stribling as a fourth-round pick.
