The 49ers picked up another UDFA. This guy, FB Jack Colleto, 6’3″, 240 lb, plays all over the field on offense and defense, was the Paul Hornung winner, and seems to be the kind of guy Shanahan drools over.
In 43 games with Oregon State, Colletto rushed for 401 yards and 22 touchdowns, caught four passes for 37 yards and a touchdown, passed for 254 yards, and had 51 tackles and an interception on defense.
Not sure he’ll get much LB time, but the guy was unstoppable in short yardage. Remember short yardage? The bane of Kyle Shanahan’s existence? Most teams don’t have one fullback. Now we have 2. Hey if he can get that 3rd and 1 or 2nd and goal, I’m all for it.

They also had a write-up in the Athletic this morning. In that article the main reason they got him was for ST. I guess he’s a beast on em. I think everyone they drafted is a potential ST player.
LOL! Like I said, if he can get 1.5 on 3rd and 1 or 1st and goal from the 1, I’m fine with the guy. 22 TDs means they used him down close to the goal line and he was pretty good at it.
Colleto is probably a keeper, I can just see Shanny run a two fullback set you know he’s tough being a LB also.
Look like the 49ers will be awarded the SB 60 game! Let’s hope they will be playing in it as well..
another guy to keep an eye on is the TE from OK Willis.
Just read that Jim Brown died at 87 years old. I can remember watching him play. Kinda like Frank Gore but bigger and stronger. He hurt people when he ran. Old school football. RIP
Never saw Jim Brown play but he was great in the Dirty Dozen. And, of course, I’m Gonna Get You, Sucka.
