The Brock Purdy train keeps rolling along. Against the toughest defense he’s seen so far, Purdy got a hard-fought win over the Washington Generals. Purdy used a revitalized George Kittle for 2 scores, a big 4th down conversion, and 6 catches for 120 yards. Washington pretty much dared us to throw by packing the line and stifling our run defense. And it worked for the most part, but for an end around by Ray Ray McCloud, which garnered 71 yards and the first score. Half our rushing yards for the day.
Purdy was an efficient 15/22 for 234, 2 TDs and a pick. The pick should have been a 12 yard completion but Jennings batted it into the air for the INT. Which led to the tying score. Shanny did a good job of calling plays today I must say. The red zone offense wasn’t all that, but Shanahan is designing play-action plays that work. The first TD to Kittle was a designed pitch to CMC with the option to throw.
The kid makes good decisions. Defense is on fire. Keep rolling.
Merry Christmas all!!! All I want for Christmas is Super Bowl 6.
i will spend the winter blogging here and no where else.
I’m down with that. And Jerry approves.
well if Jerry says yes who am i to say no!
It really was an impressive win yesterday knock off some of the mistakes and we would have rolled. You can see the difference in Shanny’s play calling which puts the Niners in a position to have multiple options. Thanks to Purdy and CMC. It’s getting to be real fun.
Merry Christmas Niner fans.
Merry Christmas everyone, stay safe
I love it when they play this at sporting events, especially indoor arenas
Hackett fired and it shouldn’t have taken this long!
Giving up 51 points to a depleted Rams team was the final straw! And with a washed up Wilson and no draft picks giving up a top 3 pick now to Seattle who’s laughing all the way to draft day, the Broncos are trash going forward..
They should fire the whole FO.
How Elway still has a job with the Broncos amazes me. Unreal. Howe many QBs have they missed on?
I don’t think Elway is part of the Bronco’s anymore. But he should have been dumped years ago anyway.
President of Football Ops for the Broncos.
Ahhhh, they bumped him to ‘consultant’ who reports to the GM. One thing I hated living in Colo in the 80s was the abject worship of Elway.
I didn’t like him when he was at Stanford. He was a hot dog then that couldn’t lead the team to over .500. Yet he got stats for himself.
Yeah, Elway whining to get traded from the Colts was what really soured me on him.
Saw a few of his games at Snodfart though. One of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen live was Elway sprinting to the sidelines under pressure and throwing a dart 65 yards in the air to the end zone for a TD. Against SC? Can’t remember.
New thread . . .
