The 49ers announced some roster moves, and none are very shocking. They announced yesterday that they have tendered one-year contracts to restricted free agent RB Raheem Mostert and exclusive rights free agents LB Elijah Lee and DB Greg Mabin. They also picked up the 2019 contract options for FB Kyle Juszczyk, DL Cassius Marsh, LB Dekoda Watson and CB K’Waun Williams, and declined the contract option for WR Pierre Garçon.
Garçon is certainly no surprise, as are the keeping of the other guys. They’ve all done good things and will be needed for depth. Throw in franchising Robbie Gould and you have a team that still needs a pass rush, a CB, some O line help, a couple solid WRs, a couple OLBs, and there you have it. Your 2019 San Francisco 49ers.

Yeah, all those guys we kept really stepped it up at the end of the season. I truly believe even with our sub par record the last couple of years that we have installed a never give up attitude and it looks like most everyone has bought into it. To me that is huge, it will be a welcome site when players actually want to play for us again. And, I am pretty sure that is gonna happen by the end of this year. Even though the NFL has gone downhill in my mind it’s still fun to watch the Niners play a full 60 minutes. Win or lose.
Yeah, hope against hope and injury, I think we are looking good.

Oh, man. That sucks. I got to meet Hardman and Ronnie Lott at the Keystone Palo Alto when a friend of mine was opening act for the Paul Collins Beat, of all bands. I was giving Lott shit for defecting to the Raiders but he and Cedrick (he had defected to the Raiders earlier in his career) let me buy them a couple beers as me and my friends talked with them for a little while. They were pretty funny gracious as we talked about all the joy they gave us fans.
Nice. I talked to Lott once a month or so after we won the 1st SB.Good guy.
