The march toward the no 1 pick continues at home today against the beat-up Broncs. Don;t think we will win again this year, but this is the most winnable. The Raiders look to lose against Pittsburgh so we have to keep pace.
Post of the Day
Winder says:Basically our 3rd rd picks are 4th rounders. But the 3rd day should be fun. It will all be worth it if Lance turns out to be what’s advertised. Bosa should get his contract and maybe Aiyuk too. I think Kinlaw gets kicked to the curb, hopefully we can get a 4th rounder for him. Once again I am all in on the Giants, definitely one of my favorite times of year.

The way some of the games are playing out today just about every game is a toss-up.
Been awhile since I’ve had the opportunity to see Mark Sanchez play. Kneeling is EVIL! Kappy is EVIL! We’ll take Reuben Foster, but put Mark Sanchez in at QB to lead the playoff charge. LOLOL
right,
Penalties and mistakes. Like clockwork.
Miami with the Cal Bear special to beat New England,
Trey Wingo tweeted out congratulations to the Patriots for their division title that tied the Niners yada yada yada.
It ain’t over till the fat lady sings, Trey!! LOL, made my day.
Jets won and they not only might draft an EDGE first but hold the tiebreaker over us. Now a win won’t be so disastrous for us.
Damn. Over a thousand for Kittle.
He is one bright spot for this team.
Its amazing to me that the Niners continue to run the ball in the red zone, when that play to Kittle clearly shows they should pass the ball more consistently. I know, I know they weren’t in the red zone. That’s not my point, QUIT RUNNING the BALL 🏈 in the Red Zone
Yup. Play action.
Duh. Thomas with a monumentally stupid penalty.
Huh. The D is finally playing pretty well. Pressure. Covering pretty well. Stopping the run.
Nope gonna continue the shitty run game
bout time we get some calls our way
Goodwin needs to hold on to that ball,
yeah he does
No kidding. That negated a pretty good gain.
WTH has this Defense been all year
Where the Hell
Niners are actually watchable today. Progress!
Press man coverage is working.
Take a couple shots into the end zone.
210 yards in the 1st half for Kittle
Kittle makes the Pro Bowl or there is no football god.
Wow. Can’t say I saw this one coming.
Sherman got burnt on the 4th down play.
Le’s see how Shanny does closing this game out.
Perfect. Start deep in their end. Which means we are going to run.
I will ask again where has this D been all season
I think Kyle had a talk with Saleh and told him if the D didn’t pick up the slack he was going to be gone next year. Amazing what you can do when your job is on the line
Wow. Shanny turtling up here.
2nd and 9 and you run, Kyle has not learned how to win
Christ. Catch the damn ball.
Here comes the suck.
Wow. Johnson calling his way out of this game. They have plenty of time. He should have taken the points,.
So an interception and Kyle goes safe by running the ball
That stat just says it all, first half 8 yards per play, second half 2 yards per play,
They should have someone else open since Kittle is being doubled.
Fuck, Pettis. That was 20+ yards.
Jesus. Here we go again.
Completely uncatchable ball on the PI.
Kittle – 210 in the 1st half – 0 in the 2nd half.
If Kyle goes with 3 runs I am going to be soooo pissed
In my eyes he needs to grow a pair, right now!!
Play action here would be the call.,
There is the first run,
fuck, what is wrong with shanny. they are waiting for the run.
Value the ball!!
Of course not.
That’s a catch.
Fucking Goodwin is terrible. Glad to see Denver wasting this timeout.
17 points in the first half, 3 in the 2nd
20 in the first half. 0 in the 2nd.
That makes it even worse
Take a chance here throw the ball
Now you have to throw th the ball 🏈
Finally!!! A pass
There you go. They used their timeouts. Go play action now.
whata ya know
Well, just enough offense in the 2nd half. Jesus.
Well looks like Kyle is learning to win, amazing things happen when you pass the ball 🏈
Got to hope the Raiders pull it out vs Pittsburgh.
Great. Shanny trying to blow this at the end.
Nothing comes easy this year 😂😂😂
Raiders take the lead!
Raiders about to choke it away!@
Raiders block the kick! Still #1!!
Dead tied with AZ. Coin flip time.
Still #1. My error was pointed out to me. Head-to-head DOES matter; it’s the next tiebreaker. I could swear they changed that.
My mistake.
That’s fucking hilarious because I could’ve sworn you guys were mocking the Raiders a few weeks ago for tanking for Bosa. Now you idiots are cheering a Raiders win and making fun of them because they’re NOT tanking and the Niners have the top pick for Bosa? Make up your mind, fer Christ’s sake!
25 calendar months ago the Raiders were the #1 seed in the AFC.
The Raiders traded one of the best players in the league for a song: two low first round picks for a tip-top second rounder.
They traded Amari for a low first rounder.
For this dismantling, they’re paying Gruden $100 mil. He did the exact same thing to Tony Dungy’s Bucs, you may recall, and they have never to this day recovered.
They’re going to be the Slot Machine Raiders in no time, don’t know why you care.
Well, at least we aren’t complete failures like you. Living off the grid in mom’s basement. She even cleans up after NoFear. What a gal.
Some of us get that losing your starting QB matters.
Mom’s basement? Let me guess, you view the entire world through the prism of “That ’70s Show.”
Sure! Why not? I picture Spitty sitting in mom’s basement with a fully loaded bong and orange shag carpeting everywhere.
The Bosa Express is in real trouble, anyway. We have to hope that AZ can extend the Falcons losing streak this weekend @Atlanta, or else AZ will almost certainly win the SOS battle for #1 overall. AZ doesn’t need Bosa, but they’ll be in perfect position for a trade with some team that does.
That’s the caveat to holding #1 RT.
Turning it into multiple Picks, if you’re not going to use it.
The Rams are where they are, in large part, because Danny went all in for RG III.
We should be more concerned with Shanny.
He becomes neurotic with a lead.
His strategy leaves me scratching my ass most times.
Seems his ass puckers, when the Red Zone squeezes his ability to operate in tight spaces.
Shanny’s Learning just like the rest of the team in how to win and close games out. Pettis did no favors by dropping what would have been about a 20-30 yard gain whe he dropped that 3rd down pass, but in the end they got the 1st downs they needed.
Regardless of the last play fuck up in not letting the clock run down far enough on the last kneel down. Glad he’s learning these things in unimportant games like this one and not a playoff game.
I just thought that we would have a very dynamic offense by now. Whether he’s taking the load off of our backups by running the ball or not it seems like we are real predictable. Mullens seems to have the upper hand to be our backup next year so let him open it up a little more.
Part of that is our inconsistent pass blocking. We are running quick routes to get the ball out quick.
The offense is pretty good seeing as we are on our 3rd string QB. They still make dumb mistakes (2 false starts on Laken Tomlinson, Trent Taylor’s deflection-pick, conservative play-calling), but in the end they did enough. Nothing beautiful about it, as Denver simply triple-teamed Kittle to take him away entirely, but they got the 1st downs they needed to keep the ball out of Denver’s hands.
Pettis’ drop was huge as he was free and clear for 20 yards because of Kittle’s drawing all the attention, and the pass to Taylor to end it was also because of the attention paid to Kittle. This is definitely something they need to exploit if teams continue to double up on Kittle.
New thread is up.
