Well, that what their quarterbacks are doing. Talk about a team that has whiffed marvelously on their latest attempts to get a bona fide QB in their stable. I me3an, even Peyton manning was a bit of a trainwreck as all he did was try not to fuck up too bad as the defense rocked and rolled teams to their championship. Paxton Lynch is out of the league after 3 misbegotten seasons, Brock Osweiler? Trevor Siemien? Riley Dixon?
Case Keenum? Undrafted not-so-phenom from the 2012 draft? Well, at 53-50, you get the picture. 6-6 this year says much the same. Fair to middling. Even in Denver’s unlikely 3 game winning streak, his numbers are pedestrian. But they did beat the Chargers and Steelers. Not too shabby.
What does that mean for us? Well, they still have Von Miller, so, seeing that this is likely BDN’s last stand before the switch back to the Beater, Mullens looks to be running for his life. Although there is the fact that Mullens threw for over 400 yards in the Seattle debacle. A loss that was due mostly to dogshit special teams play. But the 400 yard performance was something not accomplished by a 49er quarterback since the heady days of 2012. That was the opening day shellacking of the Packers by one Colin Kaepernick. The one guy that probably could have been the Broncos quarterback savior after the retirement of Peyton. I’m sure Elway is still kicking himself for that decision.
Not a big Bob Seger fan, but I dig this song. I guess his early stuff is OK. Saw him way back in 1976.
The Broncos just lost their Pro Bowl CB and their leading WR, both out for the season. I hope that wrench in the works doesn’t derail the Bosa Express.
Well, we seem to play to the level of our opponents. And a lot of folks are picking us to win this. So we should lose another close one.
The only good news to losing this game is trading out of the #2 spot in the draft after Bosa goes #1.
23-20 Denver.
A couple of days ago I heard some shitty news that I already knew, a sports a the Niners build there team for the run game, so no speedy receivers in the draft for us, it would be a waste talent.
This was some sports guy on KNBR, even with Jimmy G this was going to be a running team. Sad news, the fans will never ever see a SB with this offense. Thank goodness I got tot see the Montana/Walsh years. Niners back then had a very balanced offense. Not run all the time and not pass all the time. The thing is today’s game is geared towards the pass. So either make it more balanced, with leaning more towards the pass or they will never see another SB
The Broncos seem to be our only impediment to #1. Hopefully Good Case shows up on Sunday.
Although Quinnen Williams looks like he’d be a great get. I’m sure NJ will ring in on this.
I hope I never live to see the Niners spend yet another high first round pick on a DT. Weren’t 2015, 2016, and 2017 enough?
Gotta play to the talent of the Draft Class.
Take chances after RD3.
This Class is heavy in front 7 talent.
Our timing was the same when Alex was selected. Buyers spend primarily to get QBs.
Weak Class again in that regard.
Ideally, we would have to be slick enough to gamble on who is the hot commodity (Bosa?) and, be willing to accept a deal in exchange for additional Picks.
If we stick at 1, be willing to pay that Contract for the guy you feel deserves it.
Yes Chuck, I’m still sticking with Quinnen over Bosa for now. I think he’s head and shoulders over the competition as an interior guy. He could make Solomon better too. Aaron Donald-like IMO.
They got to get it right soomer or later. I’m pissed we have to go defense as well, but there are no good WRs or offensive guys in general this draft. And pass rush is a dire need.
We just need to get some guy that can actually rush the passer. Buckner is gonna be all-pro one day but the other two probably never will get much recognition. I still hope we stomp the Bronco’s.
Yeah, they are one of my least favorite teams. Esp with Elway still in the picture.
I haven’t watched Bosa film so I don’t know how I feel about his play. What I do know is he was hurt and missed this season. His brother is hurt every season. His brother held out for a long time as a rookie, does it run in the family? The guy scares me as somebody who might be good but isn’t on the field much. It could be a decision that haunts but I would pass on taking him. Too many red flags.
Bingo Berger. I’m seeing Jedaveon Clowney kinda circumstances. Hype?
I think there are plenty of Edge guys with plenty to prove in this Class.
Get me nasty trench guys. 😀
I still lament the whiff on Wilfork years ago.
Fat Man in the Middle-itis?
Better see my Doc…..
I only saw 1 LSU game this year and LB Devin White just stood out to me.
No clue yet how he’ll grade out but….I immediately thought of Patrick. Kid was everywhere. Heat seeking missile.
Give me those high-motor/game -wreckers all day, everyday.
I’ve cooled on Ed Oliver too. Seems a bit immature to me.
Greedy is too thin and hyped too much too IMO.
I have a feeling about Kentavius Street that he will be a good one.
berger- you might just be right about Bosa. I am just hoping that a few QB’s finish out the season really strong and hopefully move them up the board.
I’d still like to see more of Jullian before this season concludes too.
I see Pita got called up this week, finally.
Get’m all in there. Saleh ain’t doing shit with the Vets anyway.
No shit. M Smith has been a ghost,
Bosa hasn’t been hurt this year. He ‘retired’ from college ball.
Sort of. I guess he had some kind of core injury.
He had surgery and was scheduled to be out for a couple months. He decided then to retire from OSU so as to not risk losing the big $ he will make.
Before that injury, he had 14 tackles/6 for loss, 4 sacks, and 1 forced fumble which resulted in a D TD on the play – in 2 1/2 games lol.
He was the highest rated FBS D lineman – run AND pass – last year. He is considered to have at least the same upside as Big Bosa Joey.
Nick Bosa is far and away the best rated pass rusher in this year’s draft.
Back when ESPN was fun, and the draft was OK. Check out the last pick in the 1st round. John Bosa . . . Joey and Nick’s dad. We picked Harris Barton.
Hah!
Don’t worry, guys. The 49ers will get ’em next year. I promise!
Is your new team the Chiefs? Dallas? What a pussy. Fair weather chump. Go suck on your plastic trout.
New thread is up.
