Game Day! Jet City Free-For-All . . .

And by free-for-all I mean a low scoring affair. Pretty sure we don’t win this one.  The hope is measurable improvement. Less penalties. A touchdown or 2. Maybe continued stout run defense. And, for God’s sake a pass rush. I don’t understand why the only decent pass rusher we have, Aaron Lynch, was a scratch for the Carolina game, but he’s playing tomorrow, so the hope is we take advantage of a shitty Seattle O line that was beleaguered by a middling GB Packers defense last week, to the tune of no touchdowns.

Much like us. Yes, we need to sustain drives and keep our defense off the field. YEs, we need to score in the red zone. Yes, I’d love a win in Seattle. Much like the last 2 seasons. Thing is, we were hamstrung by bad coaching the last 2 years. The hope that Kyle Shanahan can get this offense going is the thing that is the thing.

So, 13-9?

No, going for it down there would be dumb. The defense is spent though. They’ve been on the field all game. We can’t stop them all of a sudden. 8 3-and-outs? That’s murder on your defense.

Two minute warning. At least the Niners kept it close. We didn’t expect a win here anyway. A lot of work is needed for sure.

Chuck–you’re the king. A missed extra point away from nailing the score cold. I’ll never forget this.

  4. Lurker John says:

Fuck the Seahawks. I hate them every bit as much as I hate the Dodgers.

I hate the Niner’s offense. Damn I hate inept play. I hate inept QB. Still this should have been expected with so many new faces.

Not expecting to win is one thing, but when you have a legitimate shot to win it stings even more when you don’t. Goodwin’s drop was huge, for the second week in a row, and I don’t think Hoyer threw a ball beyond 8 yards the entire second half. The O looks sickeningly like it has for 4 straight years now. Dink and dunk bullshit.

Pathetic passing game from our offensive guru.

  6. unca_chuck says:

Yeah, the Hawks always find ways to beat us. And we didn’t help ourselves at all on offense.

Dink and dunk can work when you have an offense like Seattle’s. As shitty as they played, they got a lot of yards on 2 yard passes. If you can’t hit downfield, you can’t expect the opponent to respect your short game.

Goodwin made another game-changing drop. At least the Rams are losing. The skins just scored a TD late for a 27-20 lead. Only one game out of first!

  7. Irish Kevin says:

If I was the receivers coach I would be making the receivers catch 90mph throws all day long!!! You drop one we start over the next day!!

  8. unca_chuck says:

Those 2 drops by Goodwin changed the course of our first 2 games.
