Green By the Game Day Bay

The Packers have winged their way to the city by the Bay. San Jose, that is. No word on who’s starting tonight, but I’d think Colin Kaepernick  would be. If only to give him fresh time with the ones. I guess we’ll find out soon enough but it would be cool to see Kaepernick continue his ownership of of the Cheeseheads. He had his best passing game as a pro way back in  2013 opening day when he threw 27-39 for 412 yards, 3 TDs, and a fairly astounding 10.5 yards per attempt. This of course was Colin’s last best season as he threw for 3200 yards, 21 TDs to 8 picks, and got one play from his 2nd consecutive Super Bowl.

We of course beat them in the 1st round of the playoffs as CK had a more pedestrian outing that night, going 16-30 and 227 yards, and 1 TD, 1 pick. Of course, that was Ice Bowl 2 as the wind chill was 50 below.  Even the year before, Kappy had what was an amazing playoff game passing and running. Throwing for 17-31, 263, 2,1, and an NFL record 181 yards rushing for a total of 444 yards.

Can he find the magik again? Let’s hope so. The season may depend on it.

Driskel ain’t ahead of Kap, yet.

  2. Dennis's avatar Dennis says:

People? Hello? WTF are you talking about? 3rd string QB, holding the edge, dropped passes and the backup at LT?

Holy Mother of Pearl. None of that shit matters. Until…Until this team finds its next HOF QB. And believe you me, he is currently not on the roster. The last 24 SBs have been won by QBs who are, or will be in the HOF with the exception of Dilfer, Brad Johnson and Joe Fucking Flacco. Who, by the way, Jim Harbaugh lost to in the SB.

Want our Niners to win another SB? Sell the soul of your first born male child to the Devil so we can win our 6th Lombardi Trophy.

    Well this turned to shit.

  4. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

    Fuck off Dennis.

    • Dennis's avatar Dennis says:

I will. Right after you admit that your comment about the Niners being better with Alex Smith > Peyton Manning was the most preposterous and laughable comment ever made on your blog.

  5. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

after all this I’m still not worried about the defense. We didn’t play bowman and a few others. The offense?

Well, big cut down next week. Let’s hope Pears is part of it.

  7. Lurker John's avatar Lurker John says:

To be fair, they were barely on the field after Callahan came in. But definitely not a good performance, regardless.

  8. Berger's avatar Berger says:

I lost that feeling f excitement I had. A defense that can’t get off the field is a loser.

  9. Dennis's avatar Dennis says:

    49ers QBs:
    Kaepernick: 2 of 6, 14 yards
    Gabbert: 2 of 3, 14 yards.
    Driskel: 1 of 3, 14 yards.

Yet you people continue to incessantly dole at this drool about things unrelated regarding our QB situation.

    NOTHING ELSE MATTERS!!!

This is going to hurt, really hurt me. But this team would be better off with Alex Smith.

That’s how bad our QB situation has become. Wake the fuck up and deal with it.

  10. Dennis's avatar Dennis says:

And WTF is that big X on his hat represent?

    I know what I’d take it as…ready, aim…

  11. Nipper's avatar Nipper says:

It’s practice. This game should never have been on TV. It’s not fair to the players. They have to practice in public. Kap’s first effort this season wasn’t positive.

  12. Dennis's avatar Dennis says:

I wish there was a way I could verbalize the complete and utter disgust that I have for our team. But it cannot be properly displayed in only words. The hatred is deep and it’s visceral. They literally make me sick to my goddamn stomach. But I won’t let the hurt end there. I will get my revenge.

Our starting WRs last night were Patton and Ellington. Our #1 RB has 924 yards rushing and receiving total over his first 2 seasons and now is out with a concussion. Our starting TE has 476 yards receiving over his first 3 seasons. Our starting QB was Blaine Gabbert. After last year’s worst OL in the NFL for the last 20 years, our OL is lousy until it proves otherwise in real games. I don’t know what y’all are worrying about.

It’s a rebuilding year. We’re where the Raiders were about 2 or 3 years ago (not in win total, but in how much is necessary to rebuild). Chip may pull some rabbits out of his hat and surprise me a bit, but he can’t change the fundamental lack of talent on offense.

Just sit back and enjoy an improved D and improved line play on both sides of the ball. And hold your breath when our draft pick (who replaced our Pro Bowler) punts.

Look to the bright side. We found some things to work on! LOL!

Will Chip ever get to the rabbit?

When Kap came in GB played much more aggressive D. Were they still mad at him for torching them in the play-offs? Maybe the team didn’t have any motivation to play hard for him? That wouldn’t make any sense because they are all playing for jobs and pecking order. The whole team played poorly when he was in so really can’t blame Kap for all the others playing poorly too.

I can live with all that. What really perturbs me is he sat for the national anthem. I’m ready to cut the fucker. No excuse for that.

    • rtfirefly's avatar rtfirefly says:

One thing I do know, Reno. To effectively run the read option, one needs a legitimate inside threat. Last year Chip had Ryan Matthews, before that LeSean McCoy. We have what?

NFL did switch back to the Niners game for Kappy’s first drive, all 3 plays of it. It seems as if GB was rushing their ends wide to hold the edge, while keeping LBs near the LOS to watch the inside gaps. I could be wrong, of course I couldn’t see a replay. Kappy’s downfield pass attempt into triple coverage may have been a horrible decision or a rotten route by our “star” WR. With wideouts like that, it’s just impossible to know. But the read option where Kappy didn’t hand off did blow up because he read the DE wrong.

So lemme get this straight: Kap is going to disrespect the country that allows this simple fuck the opportunity to make 12 mil this year as a fucking bench player? If he wants to help people of color, he should address the American flag EVERY SINGLE DAY and thank God that he is allowed to live and work in a country that pays him 12 mil to do shit. Then take some of that unearned cash and help people of color. Fuck him. CUt his ass TODAY.

  18. Nipper's avatar Nipper says:

Kap should be cut. Think about it. He doesn’t fit in at all. If he doesn’t start he’s useless. If he can’t play productively he’s useless. There is no contest here.

  19. Dennis's avatar Dennis says:

Kap’s ass is only half black so shouldn’t he have at least crouched during the anthem?

Wouldn’t be one bit surprised if this whole ordeal wasn’t orchestrated from Baalke, Jed and all the rest of the Niner head stooges. They never wanted him here anyway. This makes for a “clean” getaway with the Niners being able to release Kap with “good cause” or any other of that legal BS.

I sure am going to miss those head-phones though.
