Game Day – Rocky Mountain High?

Haven’t heard too much from the pundits regarding this game, but I can safely say that the Niners aren’t expected to win this game on a short week with 2 weeks of travel involved. Throw in a few more big injuries to Patrick Willis and Mike Iupati and that certainly doesn’t help. Still and all, the game is played on the field, not in the studios. No one expected the 49ers to go to New England in December a couple years back and win.

This game comes down to pressure. Pressure Manning and force some errant throws and all should be fine.  The offense is working out pretty well, and is developing big-strike capabilities. The Niners can take advantage of their secondary I’d think. Provided we can protect. Off that, Gore gets going.

Still and all, not feeling all that confident about this one.

For me Chuck, we have to keep Peyton on the sideline.
Do that with a good, time consuming running attack and, I feel as confident as anyone in our ability to steal the W.

    9ers 26/ Ponies 21

  2. NJ49er says:

Way too much hype for Peyton in Primetime to break the passing TD record.
    Ratings bonanza for NBC.

All well and good, he deserves the accolades I ‘spose on merit alone.
    Class guy all the way.

Just hoping he can get his record and lose the game.
    Get some, give some perhaps?

  3. unca_chuck says:

Yeah, he can have the fucking record. We win and I’m good. Like Kershaw getting the Cy Young but failing miserably in the playoffs. It’as all about the rings.

Wow. Refs just completely blow another call to lose the game for the Seahawks. I love it, but what a shitty call. They don;t bother to review that??? They are citing the Bowman play, but that guy never recovered and wasn’t touched until the ball came out.

  4. unca_chuck says:

Buffalo, Detroit, and Washington all won last second.games.

  5. unca_chuck says:

Oooh, actually the NO gfame is still going.

  6. NJ49er says:

    Down goes NOLA.
    Love it.
    Thank you St Lou.

  7. unca_chuck says:

    Deetroit wins . . . Saints 2-4.

  8. NJ49er says:

Think Cleveland took JAX too lightly?
    Or….is Pitt that bad?

  9. unca_chuck says:

The officiating just keeps getting worse and worse this year.

  10. unca_chuck says:

Both, NJ. Cleveland didn;t expect that.

  11. NJ49er says:

    NFC South = Major Suctitude.
How long before heads roll I wonder?
Who pulls the trigger 1st? Arthur Blank?

Someone will win that Division. By default.

  12. NJ49er says:

The Red Rifle with a pedestrian 126 yd passing day. 3.3yd avg.
    Ouch.
    That blows chunks.

Cincy ran a total of 32 yds too.
    Can’t run, can’t pass, can’t win.
    End of discussion.

  13. 12th man says:

Squawks drop another one, love it.

    • NJ49er says:

      Exactly 12th.
      Lynch 18 for 53.
Good job by StL to take him away.

Russell had all the rushing yardage.

Always a GREAT day for 9er fans when Seattle takes an L.

      • 12th man says:

It sure is NJ. Still early in the season but all those L’s mount up. So much for our ex resident geneous lol.

    • rtfirefly says:

Austin Davis was 18-21, 2 TD, and his replacement was 1-1. Also, the Rams came up with a pass rush from somewhere. After setting the NFL record (since they started tracking the stat) last week, 1 sack in the first 5 games, they nailed RW 3 times.

      • 12th man says:

I think the Squawks O line has something to do with it RT. The Squawks are not the team they were last year so far.

  14. rtfirefly says:

The Browns just being the Browns: on the brink of a 6-2 start, they lose to the Jags. The JAGS! Oy vey.

  15. 12th man says:

I get all the reasons the Niners are supposed to lose tonight but I think they have a real shot at the upset.

    • NJ49er says:

      Same here 12th.
Give Peyton his 3 TD passes.
We get more points and win the game.
Pound the rock, control the clock.

      Their D can be had.
Maybe a little AZ no huddle/hurry up redux tonight?
      Wear ’em down?

  16. rikers says:

Looks like it will take a monster game from Kapgore. I think they will have to score 35 to win.

  17. NJ49er says:

Can’t wait to catch the highlights from the StL/Seattle game.
Special teams gambles took the air out of the Seachicks?

    Nice.
    Very nice.

Gotta love a little Home-Dog Trickeration.
    Especially when it works.

  18. 12th man says:

    KC beats SD

  19. 12th man says:

Hoping for a Raider turn over pick 6

  20. Flavor says:

If we contain Peyton with all these guys out I’ll be shocked. But let’s see what happens.

  21. Flavor says:

that’s one. Shit, Kaep better get on the move tonight, doesn’t look like he’s going to have much time in the pocket.

  22. IHC1980 says:

    Game over. Fucking snatches

  23. snarkk says:

How many drops by these Niner receivers? At least 5, right in their hands. Boldin should have had a TD and dropped it — right on the numbers…

    • John says:

Crabtree, VD and Boldin are the ones I remember, all of them perfect throws from Kap. Combine that with zero pressure on Manning and you get 21-3.

  24. IHC1980 says:

These announcers should just swallow Manning’s spooge and get it over with.

  25. John says:

I’m near vomiting listening to this ball-washing tool Collinsworth. What a POS.

  26. John says:

Tramaine Brock is getting abused in this game. And this seeming satisfaction Fangio has with letting Manning stand in the pocket is embarrassing. Something doesn’t change and this will be a humiliating route. Lynch is about the only one doing anything on D.

  27. John says:

I don’t remember, has Harbaugh had a successful challenge this season? He should be banned from throwing the red flag by Baalke.

  28. IHC1980 says:

Collingshit really wants Manning’s cock in his ass. He’s in love.

  29. snarkk says:

So far, this one’s not on Kap. He’s thrown pretty much on the money when he has a chance to throw. Otherwise, he’s got no time to throw. Pretty much a team wide meltdown, like they’re mailing this one in, congratulating Manning on his TD record. Even the missed FG, plenty of leg, just pulled it. Way too much time for Manning to throw…

  30. NJ49er says:

We’re watching a Harlem Globetrotters exhibition game for Peyton.

  31. John says:

Hell no it’s not on Kap. Crappy protection, dropped passes, no run game so far. That and NBC has Manning’s cock so far up its ass it’s not funny. He’s playing well if you ask me

  32. John says:

    Great drive by Kap! Wow.

  33. NJ49er says:

    Collinsworth hates the 9ers.
He’s enjoying this reach around of Manning.
    Ain’t over til it’s over.

    • John says:

Probably goes back to SB XVI and the beatdown the Niners put on the Bengals. His voice literally becomes grating after about one quarter.

  34. snarkk says:

That drive was ALL Kap. He barely had any protection, made the plays. And, guys actually caught the damn throws. He’s 13 for 21. Should be 17 for 21 with 2 TDs…

  35. IHC1980 says:

Big score there! Niners need some luck to win this one, refs also in the BJ line in front of Manning’s dong.

  36. IHC1980 says:

Sure would be sweet if the niners could win this one and erase one of sloppiest man-butt-love broadcasts in recent memory .

  37. snarkk says:

Even before they got down big, when Roman calls the one-back formation, why not just put a big sign on Gore, especially Hyde, that says “I’m running up the gut now, OK?”…

  38. snarkk says:

Well, now the usual snow of penalties start. Why do they even have punts anymore — it’s just an excuse for a holding or clipping penalty call. And, the kickoffs are basically just sprints for the Special Teams as they watch the ball sail out of the end zone. NFL football has turned pretty much to crap…

  39. IHC1980 says:

    Kap: you sack of shit.

  40. snarkk says:

Terrible read by Kap there. Three into 3 defenders.
And, you KNEW they would then try the bomb over the top as soon as Manning got the ball back. If I knew that, WTF were the Niners D backs doing?
    I’m done…

  41. IHC1980 says:

    Game over

  42. IHC1980 says:

Fucking embarrassing! Everyone on this team should line up and pay to have his balls flogged.

  43. Flavor says:

we are an average team, minus Willis, Ward, Culliver, Aldon and Bowman. Especially a mile high up against one of the top 20 QB’s of all time.

  44. John says:

Another OL goes down. They can’t go one game without losing someone substantial. Looks like a busted lower leg for Kilgore.

  45. John says:

Even when they are healthy, the play of the OL has been a big disappointment this year. Joe Staley looks as bad I’ve ever seen him, constantly whiffing on pass rushers. Both Boone and Iapati have been erratic and they’ve been without Davis most of the year. Hard to have a consistent offense without the line playing well. Frustrating to watch.

  46. John says:

Harbaugh should consider pulling most of the staters. There’s nothing to be gained by leaving them in and everything to lose. This one’s over.

  47. unca_chuck says:

Staley wa great las week against Quinn. This week not so much. Injuries are a huge concern. DB and o line are beyond thin. And it looks like our 3rd string center just got hurt.

  48. unca_chuck says:

Boone fucked himself by missing all of the preseason. VD is dropping shit regularly. Iupati has been inconsistent at best.

    Boldin’s having a night.

  49. unca_chuck says:

The bye can’t come at a better time though.

  50. Nipper says:

Damn I just woke up………damn ……OUCH! We was Manningized!

  51. unca_chuck says:

    Gaine Blabbert sighting.

  52. unca_chuck says:

Oh well. I figured as much. Didn’t want it to go this far south with the injuries.

  53. NJ49er says:

    What’s being said about Kilgore?
    Severity been disclosed?

  54. NJ49er says:

    Guess Gabbert earned his $2M?

  55. NJ49er says:

We were the Peyton Manning patsies tonight.
Shake it off, heal up and get ready for the 2nd half of the season.

    • NJ49er says:

Call Idzik in NY and see what we can get for Culliver too.

      • 12th man says:

        Brock stunk.

      • NJ49er says:

        Yeh he did 12th.
He wears the collar for basically watching the record setting TD throw too.
I’m ready to say thanks for the memories to Culliver.

Dontae Johnson looks like a better investment to me.
Bye week could see a deal being made.
        See what happens.

We need to get this OLine in sync now.
Kilgore appears to be seriously hurt, maybe finished for the season now.
        Marcus Martin?
        Dillon Farrell?

We couldn’t run worth the sh!t tonight.

      • NJ49er says:

NYJ are sitting on a major pile of Cap Cash with a glaring need at DB.
If Idzik can absorb the Harvin Contract why not see about Culliver?

He looks like he’s afraid of contact to me lately.
Maybe he’s just feeling vulnerable without the brass knuckles?

  56. 12th man says:

Ouch….congrats to P. Manning, heck of a career unless you count post season. See you in the playoffs with the other half of the team.

    • NJ49er says:

All that matters now 12th is handling our Division and getting our Offense in sync.

We knew this would be a coronation event for Peyton tonight.
Just hoped we’d have looked a little more prepared to play ourselves.

      Drops, missed tackles, blown coverages?
Your SF Not-So-Ready for Primetime Players.
      SNF isn’t our schtick apparently.

  57. NJ49er says:

Maiocco reporting that Kilgore is in a cast – Suggesting fractured ‘upper ankle’.
Sounding like a visit to IR.

Bye week is now reload time for his replacement.

  58. Nipper says:

Where’s Dennis? Still laying on the sawdust floor dead to the world?

  59. Nipper says:

Query: Why did Kap play deep into this lost game? What’s wrong with Harbaugh?

  60. unca_chuck says:

    New thread is up.
