For the only week of the year, all of the NFL games are scheduled for Sunday. And if there ever was a week to have 16 TVs to watch all the games, this would be it. In the NFC at least, just about all the playoff spots are in a state if flux, and the idea to make the last weekend all divisional games had paid off in spades. The NFC East and NFC North have play-in games as Dallas, minus Tony Romo, squares off with Philly, and Chicago faces Green Bay and Aaron Rodgers at Soldier Field. Carolina, Seattle, and the 49ers all have a shot at getting the 1 seed. AFC? Ehhh. Don’t care at this point. Brady and Manning look to meet again if the script follows the pattern. Indy and Cincy might have something to say about it, but I doubt it. KC? Alex Smith? One would think the AFC wildcards are a quick exit. We’ll see. The combo of Miami or Balt don’t scare anyone either. The NFC? Well, whoever the wildcards are look to beat the North and East champs handily.
Anyhow, back to AZ. They started badly, but have re-inserted themselves back into the playoff race by winning 7 of their last 8, including a beat-down of the Colts, and most recently a fairly stunning road win over Seattle in the house that noise built. AZ is throwing the ball a ton, and is overcoming the 21 picks by Carson Palmer simply by throwing more. As evidenced by their win over Seattle where Palmer threw 4 picks and still won. Larry Fitzgerald and Michael Floyd lead the way. Both are close to 1,000 yards, and both account for nearly all of their TDs in the air. Defensively AZ is fast and tough. They have the # 1 rush defense in the league and are 6th overall in yards per game given up. LBs Karlos Dansby and John Abraham are leading a group that has improved as the season has rolled on.
All that being said. I think AZ has been playing for their lives for a long time. Running on adrenaline too long, and will come back to Earth. Niners win 28-20. I also think the Rams manage to contain Russell Wilson and take Seattle at home. 2 seed and the bye. Book it.
Too bad Promo sprained his uterus.
The epidural still gave way to the C-Section though.
No Choko for Promo this time around.
Their hopes rely on keeping Philly’s Offense on the sidelines and, running the wheels off DeMarco Murray.
Can Orton pull a rabbit out of the hat?
Certainly would be nice to see Philly eliminated but, somewhow I doubt it.
The Eagles have Shady. Which means the Dallas O will likely be the one’s watching from the sidelines.
And, Grandpa Kiffen doesn’t have the horses to stop him either.
Foles and Co likely will send Jerruh to the bar early to drown his sorrows.
Sure hope there’s plenty of camera coverage for that too.
Jerruh went so far as to mention the price tag attached to Orton too.
In his feeble mind, a $10Mil price tag means he’s priced for success.
Just like paying Promo Peyton money buys better results.
Sorry Jerruh, you don’t BUY your way into the Playoffs.
Pay a real GM. Someone who knows how to Scout talent and find pieces that fit.
Good Teams win in the Draft and FA.
We won’t even mention what good Coaching does after that because, he still won’t get the point.
He is the most entertaining Blowhard in the NFL though.
Who doesn’t enjoy all pearls of wisdom he imparts?
He’s a legend.
In his own mind.
Yeah, thank God he won’t get out of that team’s way. With Jimmy Johnson went the last smart guy in the building.
Carolina looking for the tape of the Niners “3 man rush” defense.
2 picks by Dalton already. At this pace, he could have 10 today.
Dalton seems to do better when his receivers run their routes. How’s that work?
Second pass was ten feet over the receiver’s head on a cross. Route or blindness? First pass was merely underthrown
Ha! I didn’t see the first one. The second looked like the receiver and QB were on different plays.
Dalton’s hit a couple big long ones now. Good, I’m rooting for them today. This keeps up and T-Rex’s Jets keep it up, and it opens the door for the Chargers hosting the Chiefs.
Redzone problems and 2 FGs for Harbaugh’s team.
Another Gonzalez send-off season? Does it ever get old?
Yeah chuck the NFL did it right this year. Lots of divisional games that have meaning. All I care about is if we can get our running game going against these guys we should come home with the victory. And, I would love nothing more than the Stinkin Rams to beat the crap out of the Seafucks. Don’t care about anyone else.
Amen Winder.
Test. WordPress filter loves me lately.
Test
Stoopid ginger just threw his 4th INT on the BAL 1 yd line about to go up 17.
Looks like Dalton is in fine form for his 1st rd playoff exit — again.
Looks like all the Chargers need to secure the final AFC spot is beat a KC team that’s in town to see the zoo. Dolphins really coughed it up the final two weeks. Must have got caught in one of those tuna nets. Sorry, Charlie.
They needed the bully with a bad attitude and maybe a new coach.
Guess #1 for Black Monday: The Schwantz.
22 TDs 21 INTs for Carson Palmer this yr. That’s him in a nutshell.
#!@%$& – No Niners today! Sux. Phil, tell me what’s happening!
Did ya get the Rams/Hawks instead?
Not even. Den@Oak!?? and GB@Chi.
Cards went three and out and we stalled in the red zone and put up a FG. Almost like you don’t need to see it. Nice end around with the General though.
I can follow the play-by-play online. Just not the same (sniff).
I hear ya. My locals aren’t running it either. Sunday ticket to the rescue.
Just tuned in online. WTF
SD allowed KC to go 5 plays 80 yds for a TD on its opening drive.
I guess no one wants that last spot.
A.J. Jenkins had a 48 yd reception on that drive.
I’ve always said if you play AJ in a meaningless game he’s unstoppable.
I just got a twelve pack of
Dos Equis in my Fridge. I wonder how long it will last? It’s ambar and looks so good.
Horrible play-calling and Kap looked like shit in the RZ. Game over in Seattle.
Kap looks like shit im the red zone. Pretty stupid play calling. Game over in Seattle.
That’s the goal line play I’ve been looking for.
No Cardinal wanted any VD on that last encounter.
Safe sex is overrated.
Ignoring VD usually has dire consequences.
