Let the Sleeping Dogs Die ! ! !
The Brew Crew so far is obliterating the Dodgers pitching while their pitching has shut down the Dodger attack. Not really watching, but hey seeing that 6-2 score yesterday in the top of the 9th was very nifty. Patrick Bailey is apparently putting his stamp on the Guardicles team as he cranks up the power. Yes, it’l disappear like a mirage soon, but hey, ride it while it lasts.
Brewers and Guardicles would be a cool series.
Go Milwaukee! Fuck the Dodgers.
Whit wins it!
Gotta love the kids.
with a little help from BABIP baseball gods. Cue Joe Cocker.
I was yelling at screen with Gilbert up “get the ball in the air” and bounding ball to SS wins it.
gotta love that kid (Payton Tolle) pitching for the Red Sox, whatta character. Maybe “The Spaceman” V.2?
I remember watching this liave and a) being amazed at the singing, and b) crying i was laughing so hard. Utter brilliance.
There’s another one out there where they are both on stage singing together.
Ramos came in as D sub for Judge in his first game back. bottom 8 Ramos hits 3 run HR, Yanks extend lead over to Rox 5-1.
saw that. He may make the PS roster after all?
Might’ve died in triples alley…
First 2 LPs by Joe Cocker from 1969 were really good. Leon russell and friends were around for 2nd one just titled Joe cocker, bunch of good tunes-Delta Lady, Bird on the Wire (Leonard Cohen) she came in through bathroom window, Dylan cuts.
Good stuff end of remarkable decade of music, from Bay Area and elsewhere.
He was part of the ARMS show for Ronnie Lane. Good stuff. Have some pic somewhere af all the guys. Beck Page, Cocker, Bill Wyman, Charlie Watts.
Beck was incredible as always.
Yeah it’s time for the great Krukow to retire when he says with 2 outs runners on 2nd and 3rd and Koss up “Well it’s a flyball situation? Huh?🤔 as Koss strikes out to end the inning for the 3rd out Mike..
Can we pls see less of Seymour? He had 2 strikes on burleson and then threw 3 straight easy takes and walks him. After Kniz had talked to him no less.
An inning Knizner would prefer to forget as well.
giants C isn’t exactly settled. Susac has only played 53 games, Cavanaugh has OPS of .600, Knizner worse than that. Not a position Giants get much out of.
“I respect what he said,” Judge said of his talk with Boone. “Whatever he said, I’m going to do. But I’m not happy about it. But that’s where my guy Ramos picked me up and hit a nice little three-run homer there to kind of put the game out so we could be comfortable going into the last inning. But, yeah, not too happy about it.” My guy Ramos. Right….
Yeah Willie, Seymour pretty much sucks. And it would be nice to think Susac is “the” catcher, but dude really really really needs to beef up or something so he’s not so fragile. It would be nice to think Kniszner (sp) won’t see any at bats next season at all…
Bottom line from last 2 games in SF where it’s warmest of entire year:
SPs Webb and roupp: 12 innings 1 run allowed
Pen: 7 innings 3 runs allowed 1 BS 1 save (waiver guy Kuhnel) 2 puro torture Ws
In Chron Slush makes point of all the waiver deals posey has done, like Kuhnel Whitcomb and cash deal with Tigers to get dylan smith, etc. Sometimes the Zaidi like moves on margin do pay off.
If Posey can do anything to help rotation and pen 2027 might not be so bleak.
4 runs given up by pen over last 2.
Difference was Z expected his bottom feeding moves to combine with intelligent platooning to produce a winner. Buster’s just plugging holes.
One man’s hole is another man’s platoon.
Z’s moves were all 1-2 year deals. Which is so fun to build around when everyone is different 2 years later.
Just herd Flem say that Jung Hoo lee was the only position player in the game that was on the opening roster.
The entire bullpen is different.
Between the Giants and the 49ers, we need a dedicated hospital for our sports teams.
Next thing you know, Step Curry will tear his Achilles.
Well, there’s a bit of disastrous stupidity we haven’t witnessed yet this year
that great U Tenn training
The kids will be kids. Cox needs to eat the ball on that bunt. No chance.
Damn. Don’t see guys beat out routine grounders that much. And he’s not even left handed.
Jung hoooooo! Fouls one off down the line and then gets the same pitch and doubles fair.
Great comeback. Now comes the hard part — the top of the 9th.
Is that our first come-from-behind of the season? It sure seems like it.
They had a comeback vs. Nats down 9-1, won 11-10.
There was the other that ended on Eldridge’s slam.
A real SWEEEEP!
100 losses my ass! Not this year. What a team. (tho for reasons that I probably wouldn’t’ve noticed in another season, it was sort of fun to ruin the Cards chances this year. Fuck em.)
all things playing out as they appear to be rolling, of course
T. Harris, Hill both undrafted, Cox 6th round by As, picked up for nothing. All still a long way from being established, but it feels like at least a couple of them will be MLBers. The unlikely cases are a fun part of the game.
