! ! ! ! Can’t get any lower. Still I feel I’m sinking ! ! ! !

Outshined by Chris Cornell and Soundgarden. The theme song for your SF Giants 2026 team.

In a season full of pitching debacles and crushing losses, they managed to pull one out for the ages.

Yes, the biggest blown 9th inning league in the 125 year history of the team. They were 2,208-0 when leading by 6 or more in the 9th. Til today.

Up 9-3 in the top of the 9th, the team could not even get an out before Cincy tied it. Bivans came in and really had no clue. Not sure why whoever the interim manager even was didn’t pull him a little faster, but I think it was pretty obvious Bivens didn’t have it. He gave up the longest home run into the cove that I’ve ever seen. Then again, Smith came in and nuked the joint. And the rest was errors, walks and general rookie ball crap.

I guess the lockout is a blessing.

For Dolly . . .

Gilbert with the 3 run double. Like I said above, it looks light a light bulb has gone off for him at the plate. That’s a good thing. Need to see more of it.

Dylan was never cut out to be a closer.

    Sheezus.

Up 6 runs in the 9th, Bivens comes in and wets the bed. Dinger and 2 wild pitches and 2 walks? And ABS shows the 4th ball on the 2nd walk was a strike, yet Knizner did not protest though the Giants have a protest left. What’s he waiting for to use it?

Grand slam homer off Smith, now 9-8.

Now a bunt, throwing error to first, now man on 2nd.

This team is sooooo lame. Only the Giants could do this.

    Sweep is now in danger.

This could be one for the ages…

Figured this one was over and looked at the TV and caught Cincy gettting the go-ahead run in.

7 run 9th!!!!! And there’s one fucking out!!!!!

If the Giants doesn’t have the worst manager in baseball history, who is?

V’s clueless but no one in this bullpen is even AA material. Anyone with half a brain thought this pitching staff was weak from the get-go.

      It only got worse.

      Didn’t watch the nightmare

Davenport by record (.389 or .390 win %). Dave Bristol sucked too . . . and he had a talented roster.

Vitello was thrown out in the first inning.

He could be managing from the clubhouse.

Giants should probably go into the stands and ask for pitching volunteers.

Looks like a pending first sweep scared the Giants.

    Smith had nothing.

So bad, so bad — it’s just laughable.

  8. snarkk's avatar snarkk says:

They should send Ron Washington to go into the stands and ask for volunteers to pitch the rest of the 9th.

Snarkk, you’re spot on about this kid Hill . . . ice water in his veins.

Koss – 3 four seam FBs and a slider. Pfffttt. Game over.

So many bad losses this season.

But. This one takes the prize. The worst. The most laughably bad. One that denies the first sweep that seemed a given for this POS team after taking a 9-3 lead in the 8th. I was ready to post that after the end of the 8th, but thought better of it because of the Pen woes, and darned if they proved my hesitation right.

Yep, the worst. Lots of boos I hear from the crowd fortunate enough to see this debacle. Buster may be ready to strangle somebody. He needs to look in the mirror and at ownership.

The season should end right now. But, the rolling disaster continues…

Per Jon Miller, the worst 9th inning give up of a lead for a loss — in 125 years of Giants history. Worst since 1901. Seems fitting.

Hard to imagine this atrocious team could find new ways to hit rock bottom. What a shitshow.

This Giants team is by far the worst team they have ever had at least in my lifetime.

Looks like the Facebook wives are even beginning to get tired of the Giants act (24,130 attendance).

How about Big Flavor’s insane timing of starting the Flap in 2010 and ending it before this season?

with 29 left to play and keeping this 3-7 roll they are on, G’s would finish with a 60-102 record. After todays game, that seems quite doable. Yet, my 104 loss prediction from a couple of weeks ago also may also be attainable.
