! ! ! ! Can’t get any lower. Still I feel I’m sinking ! ! ! !
Outshined by Chris Cornell and Soundgarden. The theme song for your SF Giants 2026 team.
In a season full of pitching debacles and crushing losses, they managed to pull one out for the ages.
Yes, the biggest blown 9th inning league in the 125 year history of the team. They were 2,208-0 when leading by 6 or more in the 9th. Til today.
Up 9-3 in the top of the 9th, the team could not even get an out before Cincy tied it. Bivans came in and really had no clue. Not sure why whoever the interim manager even was didn’t pull him a little faster, but I think it was pretty obvious Bivens didn’t have it. He gave up the longest home run into the cove that I’ve ever seen. Then again, Smith came in and nuked the joint. And the rest was errors, walks and general rookie ball crap.
I guess the lockout is a blessing.
For Dolly . . .
Sox lineup has exactly 1 hitter in it with lower OPS than Adames (who is back in there) .709. Giants have 5 of them. beside Willy himself.
I guess Lemmy Did look young for a bit.
Missed him with Hawkwind unfortunately.
Giants season in a nutshell
Fall to pieces that is. . .
So, what’s the story (as I haven’t watched a game in almost 2 months) about Dylan Smith?!? Specifically, is he a keeper for next season? Going forward this season – is he the de facto “Closer” in the bullpen? How about next season? Is he better versus Rodriguez (who’s recovering from T John surgery)?
Enquiring minds want to know . . .
Pleasant surprise. definitely keeper. Role tbd but late innings for sure.
I don’t think Webb is going to win pitcher of the month again.
Yeah xoot . . . that’s the understatement of the year. I will say one thing though, I am on the fence now (where before I wasn’t) about trading Webb. I guess what I am saying is that 9 times out of 10, he is the model of consistency, e.g., probably a photo of him in the dictionary under that very word.
Aroldis still throwing 100.
Arraez 3 more hits, Phils win again.
Willie, at 21 Chapman was 6’4″ and 180lbs. Today, he is 6’4″ and a “jacked” 230lbs. He doesn’t abuse his body anymore either, e.g., stopped smoking Marlboros, and stopped carousing all hours of the evening.
Frankly, I think this dude will still pitch 100MPH+ for 5, maybe 10 more years the way he takes care of his body now.
Got guys out with slider too once he got to 2 strikes. Knows what he’s doing out there.
The conga player needed Tommy John surgery after this…
meanwhile Lennon is thinking, hey, maybe we can give yoko the mic and let her cream like that . . . .
scream
The vid of John Lennon, Chuck Berry, and Yoko is classic.
Chuck’s face is like “what the fuck is she on?”
Chuck wasn’t the most gracious guy under normal circumstances, but he shows massive restraint here.
exactly. wtf?
I think the who blew the stones away and Mick didn’t want to release it.
And for a short period of time, Sabbath’s Tony Iommi was Tull’s guitar player in that show.
Brian Jones relegated to maracas. I think he died pretty soon after this.
Mayer not coming back this weekend either. Right foot injury from before bothering him and he’s going back to SF instead of playing rehab games with RCs.
Per usual, turn on the game, Adumbass makes a throwing error. Number 19.
One more and he equals his HR total.
In four years with the Giants, Omar Vizquel made 23 errors–total.
Tidwell looks good first time through order throwing lot of strikes, 25 of 35 pitches.
Kniznah puts one ovah the monstah
Skating away on the thin ice of a new day.
Anyone see Lee misplay in OF last night? idk if i’m Giants I’m listening to offers on him. they owe him $65 mil over next 3 seasons. They have bunch of OFs in system beside those already here,, some with speed/power. If they could save some $$ owed to Lee to spend on pitching I’d be all for it.
I’m in with dumping Lee and his salary. Way overpaid. OK outfielder, average arm at best, can’t steal, streaky bat, limp power for a corner OFer.
I thought Lee looked exhausted just before AS break. He came back looking better and kept his average near .300. Last couple/few weeks he is looking OUT-OF-IT at the plate .. and that miss play last night, ugh. This is his first full season and I think he is struggling with the length of the season, the travel .. nothin’ like this in Korea. I’m gonna give him a break, see what he can do next year.
Adames having a nice laugh with the HP ump after striking out. I guess that’s just fine with Vitello…
He loses challenges all the time. Leopard ain’t changing his spots at this point in career. I know hugs with opposing players (pregame or during) bother lot of fans but there are tons of guys from DR alone in MLB let alone other Hispanic speaking countries. My guess is those guys view Adames as made man and look up to him with nothing but respect. As do other Giants.
Billy Martin level competitiveness is not coming back to any of today’s managers. He always blew his wad anyway (success when coming to new team yet soon fired) as teams got tired of act quickly
I can live with Lee. Adumbass would be preferable to hit the road.
Tidwell goes 7.2?
Huh.
agree.
Dylan!
Drive to warning track but Smith halfway there. TV looking for repeat of 6 out save.
So the only pitcher in are pen closer Dylan Smith needs to get 6 outs every time he pitches will not work most of the time but he has been outstanding till his arm falls off..
Nobody Beats The Kniz!
Fox broadcasters have no idea who’s coming in from the bullpen…
