Up 9-3 in the top of the 9th, the team could not even get an out before Cincy tied it. Bivans came in and really had no clue. Not sure why whoever the interim manager even was didn’t pull him a little faster, but I think it was pretty obvious Bivens didn’t have it. He gave up the longest home run into the cove that I’ve ever seen. Then again, Smith came in and nuked the joint. And the rest was errors, walks and general rookie ball crap.
I guess the lockout is a blessing.

Roupp’s last 6 starts have about 2 good ones mixed in with the forgettable. Posey has to realize that if he is in top 3-4 of your rotation your team seriously needs help, and he does something about it in off season. He’s pitched more (30 innings over previous high already) than maybe he’s prepared for but there’s still 30 games left.
Out of all the “kids” getting position player PT Bericoto seems only one with potential of being part of 2027 roster.

Yes, it’s not too soon to try to envision next year’s starting rotation based on who’s already onboard. Webb, Roupp (maybe), Houser? I still had hope for Birdsong, but who knows how he’ll be after major surgery. Um.. is that it? Wizzyhunt? Not if he doesn’t figure out a way to get some movement on his pitches. Is it too soon for Tugboat? Tidwell has promise, but… So, Webb Roupp Houser Tugboat Tidwell. Obviously, the offseason needs to bring in at least 2 topline starters. And don’t forget about retooling practically the entire bullpen, with (as mentioned above) Smith possibly the only keeper. Fixing the pitching will be a temporary fulltime job for the FO. Nice to know there might be a couple youngsters eventually, but probably not next year…. And that’s just the pitching. Still need some added punch to the position players. Agree about Bericoto as a possible keeper.

well this is what you get when half the lineup is play the kids. Cox Hill Basabe Bericoto, plus good field no hit Koss and back up C (Cavanaugh Knizner) vs. Guards very good SPs. Is what it is and unlikely too many of above make it onto next year roster.
Meanwhile opponents past and upcoming like Guards BoSox Cincy AZ Atl fighting to stay in pennant or WC race where every last W matters.
