! ! ! ! Can’t get any lower. Still I feel I’m sinking ! ! ! !

Outshined by Chris Cornell and Soundgarden. The theme song for your SF Giants 2026 team.

In a season full of pitching debacles and crushing losses, they managed to pull one out for the ages.

Yes, the biggest blown 9th inning league in the 125 year history of the team. They were 2,208-0 when leading by 6 or more in the 9th. Til today.

Up 9-3 in the top of the 9th, the team could not even get an out before Cincy tied it. Bivans came in and really had no clue. Not sure why whoever the interim manager even was didn’t pull him a little faster, but I think it was pretty obvious Bivens didn’t have it. He gave up the longest home run into the cove that I’ve ever seen. Then again, Smith came in and nuked the joint. And the rest was errors, walks and general rookie ball crap.

I guess the lockout is a blessing.

For Dolly . . .

Speaking of flopping, the Dubs going after LeBron just really makes me sick.

Can Bay Area sports get any worse?

Would we have to take Bronny as well?

And I guess that FIFA peace prize really carries some weight.

latest story has lawyers from trump’s stable preparing briefs and video analysis to argue the red card with fifa. Some fans claim fifa’s rules don’t allow governments to intercede like that. Better part of the story is the player’s status as the child of immigrants, I bet.

from Wikipedia power of the 14th amendment birthright citizenship:

Balogun was born in Brooklyn, New York, to Yoruba Nigerian parents.[8][9]His parents were living in London, and visited New York when his mother was seven months pregnant with him. Airline staff did not allow her to board the family’s return flight to London due to safety concerns over the advanced state of her pregnancy, and Balogun was subsequently born in New York.[10]He returned to the United Kingdomwith his parents when he was two months old and grew up in London.

If the US loses, Balogun will end up in El Salvador.

    Chapman’s June.

    • unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

If he could do what he did in June all season, great. But he doesn’t.

It’s April, May, and July that suck.

    • unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

So, what’s your point? You think Schmitt is better off in LF?

      • xoot's avatar xoot says:

the variables are daunting. Buster has two huge veteran contracts at the corners and two good, possibly excellent (and certainly cheap) young guys there, too. Schmitt as a super utility player won’t get a chance to play his best D every day, but he’ll be good. Eldridge will be fine as a 1B/DH so long as sufficient % is 1B time (a need V might fuck up without some pressure from the FO). So they get through this disastrous season of horrible pitching.

perhaps Buster will loosen the logjam a bit via trades this month. More likely, he’ll have a long hard winter to work on the problems. If there’s a strike, maybe longer.

no reason to get excited. Which cuts both ways.

      • unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

Schmitt shouldn’t be a utility guy. That’s all I’m saying. Chappie is the main cause for that.

Like I said in the thread, Devers and Eldridge are fine at 1st. No need to really fuck with that. just get rid of Adames and bring someone else ((Jhonny be Goode?) up.

USA looked like shit giving up a real easy goal with terrible defense at the goal area.I would say Belgium is not waffling one bit, as USA can’t even get past midfield much Ann no shots on goal…While the Waffle’s have 6!!

Thank God we have our Giants to distract us from this pending national humiliation.

A USA cable station could’ve made a fortune with a futbol for gringos telecast of these games. Give me some loud Mike Krukow or John Madden type deeply explaining everything and maybe I’d pay more attention. At least I’d have a clue wtf is going on when it looks like nothing much is happening

Roupp going tonight on the hill. San Francisco lost its 11th straight Roupp start last Tuesday in Arizona, i.e., we lose tonight, that’s a SF franchise record. The only other time the Giants lost 11 straight starts in a single season by one pitcher was the final 11 outings in 1984 by Mark Davis.

The irony is that Krukow, along with others were saying Roupp was a likely All Star earlier this season. He beat the Marlins on April 26, and was 5-1 with a 2.55 ERA . . . It’s been all downhill for him (and the Giants) since then.

“somebody tell him the zone is gay and maybe he’ll attack it”

      • blade3colorado's avatar blade3colorado says:

Frankly, these guys that attack gays are probably in the closet. Besides, with that mug and his current baseball record, the only way Roupp could get a beautiful woman on his arm is to get a tattoo of one.

Devers good against Gausman previously . . . So is Arraez, whom is 9 for 12, with a triple and 2 doubles.

  14. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

I was gonna say, wasn’t Mark Davis a God Squadder?

    Ramos actually looking good.

    Wow. A double steal?

    And it worked?

Good to see V using the run game.

    In fucking July.

  15. blade3colorado's avatar blade3colorado says:

Double steal was one of the best plays this season. Wow!
