! ! ! ! Can’t get any lower. Still I feel I’m sinking ! ! ! !

Outshined by Chris Cornell and Soundgarden. The theme song for your SF Giants 2026 team.

In a season full of pitching debacles and crushing losses, they managed to pull one out for the ages.

Yes, the biggest blown 9th inning league in the 125 year history of the team. They were 2,208-0 when leading by 6 or more in the 9th. Til today.

Up 9-3 in the top of the 9th, the team could not even get an out before Cincy tied it. Bivans came in and really had no clue. Not sure why whoever the interim manager even was didn’t pull him a little faster, but I think it was pretty obvious Bivens didn’t have it. He gave up the longest home run into the cove that I’ve ever seen. Then again, Smith came in and nuked the joint. And the rest was errors, walks and general rookie ball crap.

I guess the lockout is a blessing.

For Dolly . . .

Ramos batting 2nd knocks double off LCF wall. prior to that 6-19 with 1 solo bomb.

  2. willedav's avatar willedav says:

whizzz. Took him out with 2 on 1 out in 4th, 88 pitches trailing 2-0. Just not sharp especially with changeup.

Ramos almost got hurt laying out to catch final out in 8th,appreciate his effort, but just before he’s returning to the team?

Last AB hit one to the wall in RF that just needed height, he looks good to go against Braves..

News is that Bericoto’s future sister-in-law got killed in that Venezuelan earthquake. Unfortunate news, he and his brother are apparently tight. There are quite a few Venezuelans in MLB and minors, so inevitable there are some connections with the tragedy. Hope the Panda’s relatives are OK…

Sadl news — Bericoto’s future sister-in-law got killed in the Venezuela earthquake. Lots of Venezuelans in MLB and the minors, so bound to happen that people they know and/or relatives have been affected. Hope the Panda’s people are OK …

Loo and Mac probably know more about this manager, Mendoza, but it’s interesting that on paper, this guy was quite sharp, e.g., infield coach and promoted to bench coach for the Yankees; and, 3 years as manager with the Mets, where he took them almost to the World Series in his first year as manager.

Most of the players are “falling on the swords,” saying collectively, that it was their fault he was fired today. Agree with AK’s sentiments regarding Vitello . . . “Vitello next? Wishful thinking but probably not for now.”

One Minasian down, and after he scored Wade Meckler, too! So cruel….

In 20-20 hindsight, Wheeler for Beltran is as bad a trade they ever made. Still getting rubbed in our faces 15 years later…

Can anybody here create an AI Twinfan to respond to comments?

    • blade3colorado's avatar blade3colorado says:

Best one I have heard in about a week.

    • James's avatar James says:

LOL. It *might* have been relatively easy with administrative access to the Flap. I think you’d have to ask your AI of choice to build a scraper for his comments stored on the waybackmachine, or copy and paste them one by one into a file to feed the AI Twinfan. It’s doable, but it ain’t gonna be me …

It was a trip to go to the visiting side today, walk into the Atlanta Braves clubhouse, and see Mike Yastrzemski, Dom Smith, Mauricio Dubón, Joey Bart, J.P. Martinez, Antoan Richardson and analyst Michael Schwartze. "We're Kapler's castoffs!" Dubón said.

Dubon had one decent season with SF in 2020, but sucked through 2021/22 before giants traded him away. OPS in .650s, no power or SBs, airheaded base runner, nowhere really to play him. Having nice season in ATL where he’s almost equaled career high 10 bombs he hit for Stros. Says more about yard than his talent, career high OPS of .733 at present. Giants sure didn’t have any problem hitting there.

Fucking Adumbass. I guess it’s sort of a win that he likely won his first ABS during his AB.

  17. alleykat69's avatar alleykat69 says:

This could be my crazy Trade, Braves are hurting at SS bad,Kim is downright awful .077 ,Dubon is more of a utility player they like to move around to different positions not sure about Castillo? everyday, so if Giants eat a ton of money on Adames contract would the Braves bite?

Well fuck they won’t now after Adamshit just got doubled off 1st !!! Gawd how fucking stupid can they continue to be playing baseball???

    • blade3colorado's avatar blade3colorado says:

He makes me puke everytime I see him at bat or field a ball or throw a ball or does his gatorade “look at me” bit.

      • alleykat69's avatar alleykat69 says:

Yep couldn’t agree more Blade, he flairs at more garbage then constipated stance Aaron Rowand ever did,he’s how many outs their are,but never gets grief for it,throws rag balls to 1B with what he thinks is clever one hoppers eating up the 1B,freaking loses every ABS challenge, and the whole Fucking Gatorade the organization thinks is great PR well it’s not and the players hate it as well!!!

  18. blade3colorado's avatar blade3colorado says:

I could give 2 shits Kuik . . . Clark, McCovey, Belt, etc., would have had that throw from Arraez. WTF???

  19. blade3colorado's avatar blade3colorado says:

Give Devers credit though . . . That was a nice diving catch and throw he just made.

    • xoot's avatar xoot says:

he’s not a liability at 1B; and he makes some excellent plays, diving, chasing pop ups down the line, gunning out runners. he’s just not that slick pick guy.

      • blade3colorado's avatar blade3colorado says:

Agree. He just has difficulty occasionally fielding short hops from the other infielders.

Is Krukow dementia kicking in again? It’s like the 3rd straight game when McDonald starts that he mentioned rubbing his hand in the dirt instead of using the rosin bag to help prevent a blister.I get the theory but every time?hey both K&K after almost 40 years in the booth, u run out of stories, especially harder when the team stinks consistently since 2021 outlier season..

    • xoot's avatar xoot says:

don’t you want to hear him explain the difference between two and four seamers again? And again? And again?
