! ! ! ! Can’t get any lower. Still I feel I’m sinking ! ! ! !
Outshined by Chris Cornell and Soundgarden. The theme song for your SF Giants 2026 team.
In a season full of pitching debacles and crushing losses, they managed to pull one out for the ages.
Yes, the biggest blown 9th inning league in the 125 year history of the team. They were 2,208-0 when leading by 6 or more in the 9th. Til today.
Up 9-3 in the top of the 9th, the team could not even get an out before Cincy tied it. Bivans came in and really had no clue. Not sure why whoever the interim manager even was didn’t pull him a little faster, but I think it was pretty obvious Bivens didn’t have it. He gave up the longest home run into the cove that I’ve ever seen. Then again, Smith came in and nuked the joint. And the rest was errors, walks and general rookie ball crap.
I guess the lockout is a blessing.
For Dolly . . .
Victor-y!
Finally, something good to enjoy for this team in the middle of a maelstrom of yuck.
JH Lee has apparently found himself. I doubted him, but give credit where it’s due, the guy has figured something out both hitting and making plays in the outfield. He should be the AS entry for the Giants.
Mahle, good job bumping up your trade value…
Perrry Como for the win?
Watch the play Jim Ray Hart makes at 23:45…
Thanks loo, that was an amazing time to be a Giants fan. Even though I was 15 by then it still made me feel like a kid again. And that is hard to do now.
Very cool. First trips to Candlestick it looked like that.
Pre-astroturf and pre-closed in. The ads are classic.
And that’s what Shea looked like in 73. Harry the Hat!
Is the Chris Schenkel?
The kid hadn’t started in 2 weeks; Kylen asked Kuip about in pregame and he said yeah it’s tough to get any sort of rhythm.
Baker would never have done that, nor Bochy. Boch used to get lot of heat on Flap for some of his getaway day lineups of multiple “scrubinis” like Fontenot or the Triple O Adrianza or back ups like The Prez at C, etc. Again I don’t get why these guys aren’t in Vitello’s head a bit more often to use more of roster to keep guys fresher.
whoa! One final close call for the ump last night. (I appreciated Berricoto’s admiring pause: it announced the HR for us.)

Bericoto.
What is Buddy Kennedy doing on this rooster? Pouring coffee in the clubhouse? Maybe waiting to be the designated position player pitcher when the Giants are 8 down in the 8 th inning? I don’t understand why Koss isn’t up to actually be available to play. He is a demonstrated good utility fielder and decent hitter.
I think college WS just ended baseball season this week. Meanwhile, Vitello and Giants still have half the season left–July August September etc.
Use of bench (as in lack of) just another one of his failings.
I think I saw RCs game is on later tonight from Sac on Sports Channel.
Koss is on the IL Snarkk with a fractured left wrist, believe he’s starting a rehab in Arizona? Ramos is supposedly close to return maybe this weekend. With Arreaz banged up Schmitt will stay at 2B while Ramos back to LF/RF combo.OF could be Lee CF,Ramos RF&Schmitt LF once Arreaz returns imo with hopefully Kennedy pouring coffee, water handing out bubble gum, gummy bears in Sac to players&Coaches..
thanks Kat for the Koss info. That guy must feel like he’s snakebit. Vitello forgot he was on the bench while he was up, then a fracture in Sac? Ouch
Rooster???
You got a hole in your glove!!
Same guys starting as last night per mlb.com, vs. another LHP SP.
I know Adumbass is doing badly, but sheesh. I just heard, after another K, that coming into the game he had a .266 OBP. Boy Howdy, that is not just bad, that’s almost impossibly, incredibly bad. At least his SLG is .419, but that’s still an OPS well under .700 — ouch.
And, then I heard Otto Lopez, the guy the Giants had in camp in Spring ’24 and then just cut him loose for “cash considerations”, i.e., nothing, is still tearing it up as SS with the Marlins, leading the NL in hits and average. The Giants HAD their successor SS in camp, and let him go — for NOTHING. Now, they’re paying Adumbass $183 million for this? How does this organization miss something this big?
Ramos would’ve conceded the double and flipped a lob throw to the IF.
when Bericoto a month back flubbed that extra inning play that lost the game, he was focused on the throw he was going to unleash. Bet he rarely makes that error again going forward. Also bet he’ll unleash some more astonishing throws.
Giants may have found a diamond in the rough. This Bericoto kid has a hose out there.
Send Gilbert and his oh forever against LHP back to Sac when Ramos comes up. Keep this Bericoto kid up for a while, play him and Fox and see what happens. When’s the last time a Giants OFer hosed down a runner 2 games in a row?
Ramos can come off rehab for a while and then if these kids look like they have promise, trade Ramos off and his tin glove for some pitching. I would not miss him at all…
Adumbass jacks one, now at 14. Solo shot, of course. This guy needs 2 months of raking to make me not wish they had Lopez at SS, and even then I probably will still want him gone.
another great throw from Bericoto from the track, but a shitty relay from Adames home. The coulda had him.
they coulda
And the A’s third base coach Crosby pulls a Borg and holds the runner on an easy score..
ANOTHER good play out there by Bericoto. Fine cut off throw to Adumbass, they almost get the runner again if Adumbass’ throw is a little more on target. Bericoto looks like he has a lot better defensive chops than Ramos. Need bigger sample size, he needs to play.
Triple Lee!
nice AB from Lee! 3 rbis. Though Butler’s lack of intelligence helped.
Bericoto is very very good.
