99 Losses or Bust
We seem to be in the holding pattern of 1 win, 2 losses as this bland flavorless season continues it’s slow march to oblivion.
Looks like the 1985 team of Jimmy Davenport is safe in the knowledge that they will continue to be the one and only 100 loss team in the 144 year history of the NY/SF Gothams/Giants.
I mean, 5 more wins out of 21 games shouldn’t be that hard. Right?
Yeah Chapman says you want a beat down I’ll give you one today!! Holy smokes Grandslam,3 run Homer 8freaking RBI’s ..
“Offense is cool”
F.P. is so insightful…
Yes, for a dipstick…
Ok, what Faustian bargain has Vitello made to get the Giants to suddenly turn in June from “Murdered Row” to “Murderers Row”? At this rate, they’ll eliminate their MLB worst run differential in 4 games…
16-0 now, Pineiro with a rare Niners PAT.
7-run inning, turnstile hitting. That was friggin’ amazing…
16-0. Are we sure this is the baseball part of the blog?
Devers still at 1b, Eldridge in need of some glove time. I don’t get it.
Chappie heard us, eh? Not watching the game, but just glanced on my phone while driving . . . AND ALMOST WENT OFF THE ROAD. WTF? 18 runs?????
7 dingers.
2 Chapman, 2 Adames, 2 Schmitt, 1 Fox vs position thrower. Chapman with a Grand Salami and 8 RBI — career high. He may not get another RBI for a month now…
As Loo said it was Tatis Sr. who hit 2 slams in same inning, April 23, 1999 and setting record with 8 rbi that inning.
San Pedro de Macoris, DR. “home of the SS” which son was for awhile too.
I think we’ve had more offense in the last week than we did in the 14 leading up to it.
Nutty stuff.
Caught some of Rizzo on way home and i think he said Cubs have lost 9 of last 10.
Not interested in lineup fu but I do think it’s advantageous to split up r/l hitters especially given 3 batter rule where LHPs have to face RHs at some point. So like them or not couple of the $$RHs are going to be at or near top…Looks like they did OK today and both have shown some pop on road trip.
I like the idea of Wemby coming up ant small.
I wonder what Vegas thinks of the last couple of Giants games. It’s hard to tell which team is gonna show up. My guess is we still suck against good pitching but then so do most teams. If nothing else we do get a little fun this year.
Day before last, this cat Brown was supposed to pitch yesterday,* i.e., I said he was a bad ass, and thus far, he is.
No idea why he was pushed back a game.
Double plays like that gotta make Roupp feel good
BOOM! MR. DEVERS!
Chuck, so help me understand this – right now, we do not have an archive of past comments for this new page, correct? If so, that’s a potential issue, e.g., part of the fun of the Flap, is going back in the archives and finding out who said what on such and such day and time.
So, Is there a way to go back to previous pages?
at this point no. Gonna look into starting another blog.
Yeah, I think that would work Unc. Just basic shit. Don’t get me wrong, I love your openings, but it probably takes you time to think up these outstanding threads. Just keep it basic and stress free for you.
How the fuck do you throw PCA a strike in that spot? Brain dead…
That too.
Winn, some day you may find yourself. Trust me, it’s not worth the wait.
Yeah so dumb shit by both Vitello and Winn pitching to the only guy PCA in the lineup that could go yard with the wind blowing in and with a homer off Roupp earlier, you freaking walk him and take your chances, like you said just stupid decision..
my sediment exactly. Dead slider.
What braindead manager takes their best hitter out of a close game?
Davey Johnson in 1986. He was lucky it worked out…
oooops.
