We seem to be in the holding pattern of 1 win, 2 losses as this bland flavorless season continues it’s slow march to oblivion.
Looks like the 1985 team of Jimmy Davenport is safe in the knowledge that they will continue to be the one and only 100 loss team in the 144 year history of the NY/SF Gothams/Giants.
I mean, 5 more wins out of 21 games shouldn’t be that hard. Right?

I see this Season starting with lots of motion and ground attack.
Our OL is going to take time to adjust to the new system, however, a WCO should help them once Alex and the WRs get into the necessary rhythm.
Game 1, lots of Gore and Hunter, 9ers win a close one. I do expect Harbaugh to take some deep shots though, VD and Braylon will be a nice duo.

Adames at 6 is the most charitable position he should get. Chapman is hot and is a faster runner, he should be ahead of the Gatorade Guy.
Maybe putting Adames at 7 for any length of time is too embarrassing for the team at his pay grade. I wouldn’t care if he’s embarrassed, he should be for his performance so far this season. What kind of a team “leader” is this guy — what is he doing to “lead” this sad sack team? To me, Eldridge is a team leader — taking walks, making great ABs that pressure the pitcher, and coming through in the clutch.

Unc, Willie McCovey batted #2 in the line up exactly 5 times in his 22 year career. All in 1964 (April 28-May2) over a single 5 game stretch when Dark was the manager.
During that particular road trip, Dark was shuffling the lineup to jumpstart the offense. He experimented by batting McCovey second, directly ahead of Willie Mays (#3) and Orlando Cepeda (#4). While it sounds like a terrifying top of the order for opposing pitchers, the experiment was short-lived. After the May 2nd game against the Pirates, McCovey was moved back down into the cleanup spot, and he never hit second in a starting lineup again.
