Dr. Jeckyll, Meet Mr. Hyde

Consistently inconsistent really seems to be the MO of this team. Not sure what they can do about it but here we are struggling to crawl to .500 while beating great teams and tripping over our dicks on those same teams. Having a blast so far. Made it to Tofino after being everywhere in these last 5 days.

Yikes, Ray was gonna be a major trade chip. Still might but last night was pretty ugly right from start. Said in Chron maybe AZ were onto his pitches (tipping somehow) and he felt fine going in. Once again bottom of order guys do the Giants in.

One injury to Ramos, likeable but barely above average OF they’ve got on the cheap, and Giants have Schmitt playing LF (then SS) and their bench is Gilbert Brennan and 2 Cs. AZ pitching is eminently beatable; hopefully bats show up tonight.

yeah, in the middle of Ray getting hammered last night, Flemm was musing that he was tipping pitches. Thats the usual MO of Giants announcers when a starter is getting smoked. Ray is a long time vet and Cy winner, all of a sudden he’s tipping? How about the Dbacks game plan was to jump him early in the count, he didn’t andjuat, and he was throwing hit me pitches all night to a team that’s been hot lately. Thats more likely explanation.

Let’s see Bryce Eldridge gets 2 hits last night so of course you’re back on the bench! He should be playing and especially against right hand pitchers !So sick of how they continue to screw him over..

Adames thumb ( besides up his ass) got banged up last night, but now of course Schmitt DH’s-instead of SS (cause V has to continue stroked his ego)so Eldridge can’t DH!! Does anyone care anymore how to run this team?

Now Lee’s out for awhile ( back spasms) Ramos DL, the outfielders consist of Bader ( btw leading off now lol)Gilbert&Brennan killer row indeed

Knicks-Cavs should be good series. Apparently last time Knicks made NBA Finals was 1999, losing to Duncan/Admiral/Sean Elliot/Mario Elie/Avery Johnson in 5. Kerr was reserve on that team, played 44 minutes total in Finals.

On the PG the other night, Aurelia and Kontos agreed that Trevor with his options will eventually be sent down, the victim of a “numbers game”…

  7. alleykat69's avatar alleykat69 says:

Which is BS Loo about the numbers game.Yeah both Mahle&Houser have 5 years experience each and both are either would have to clear waivers first and the Giants won’t eat their contracts. So yeah one of their best pitchers has to eat crow? Its only going to get worse..

Giving the 1st year manager a lot of rope as it takes time for him to learn the players, etc. and develop his own mental list of “his guys” (Schmitt comes to mind, loads of playing time now and he’s producing). But not sure who exactly is making most of the “who will play where and when” decisions… Buster? Minasian, the silent GM? Agree that the OF situation, which was supposedly fixed in the off season, looks very weak with Gilbert getting a lot of starts, and I still don’t even know who Brennan is. And Trevor is 10x better than Hauser and Mahle; if you’re going to jettison anybody, it shouldn’t be Trevor back to Sacto, it should be Mahle given a bus ticket home. And yeah, Eldridge needs reps to progress. We keep saying the players all need to perform better, but management needs to start making better decisions too, or they’re never crawling out of this early season hole.

And now back to back HR’s Devers&Adames Chapman a single and Susac smokes a double to make it 3-1 this team nobody can figure out?

  10. djloo27's avatar djloo27 says:

    Devers shot measured 458…

  11. blade3colorado's avatar blade3colorado says:

Royalty up in those box seats (Buster and Brandon).

Congrats Adames for the bomb, but pleaseeeee act like you’ve been there before. Conversely, Susac, a rookie, gets a double to knock in Chappie and he doesn’t “emote” at all . . . He’s all business.

  12. blade3colorado's avatar blade3colorado says:

    Devers beginning to rake. Nice!

Interesting what Kruk said about Posey/Crawford connection, mentioning 3 n 5 years 2010-14.
Far as I can tell, of position players only Posey and Sandoval were there for all 3.
Pitchers: Cain Lincecum Javy Affeldt Bum Romo Casilla.
