Why Didn’t They Think of This Earlier?

Quoting the interwwebs today, “If Trent Williams is on the roster on September 1, 2027 and does not hold out or miss any offseason time he will earn an $11.5 million roster bonus in 2028 that will be fully guaranteed if earned.” Plus, his deal gives the 49ers a lot of wiggle room down the line. As of now, the 49ers have the most cap space at $71 million and change.

If they had thought of this about 6 years ago, they would have avoided a shit-ton of hold-outs, hold-ins, and crap seasons by a bunch of players. Oh well. Better late than never. Still think this team needs more O line help. Hopefully some guys fall off teams via salary cap problems. We will see.

As for the Giants, yeah, one good game followed by 5 shit ones. Webbie is apparently dealing with a knee problem, so the Giants crack medical team is following the 49ers mantra of “play ’em till they break.” It would seem like a good idea to give Web a rest, but likely not. Hey, they could win the SD series today, but alas, they got Dookie Houser going, so we likely lose 8-2. I mean, it’s not like a guy they JUST sent down is any better (T Mickey D).

Come the actual fuck on guys.

Why is it we all hear about the Pale Hose but never the Ruby Hose?

First Rehab game for Daniel Susac 3-4 2 HR’s 3 RBI’s were carrying 3 Catchers right now and he’s not one of them? It’s a crazy situation, we all know Bailey can’t even hit a tee ball but is a GG catcher and doubt they would send him down.Rodriguez has shown he can hit for sure kinda same with veteran Haase but he will be the Wally Pipp dude and get shipped out since you don’t need freaking 4 catchers up here and only 3 legit outfielders (Ramos,Lee,Gilbert) until Fader Bader and his buck 20 average returns..

Rodriguez can play multiple positions, but based on his OF play, not very well.

If they want to shake this team up, trade Chappie, Bailey, and Devers NOW for prospects since we don’t seem to be drafting any. Play Schmitt at 3rd, Eldridge at 1st, and Susac at C. Rodrigues and Koss are the backups.

I know it won’t happen but hey, they can’t just flail around like this all year.

All teams GM’s are laughing at the Giants thinking they would deal for Devers,Chapman,Gatorade Clown with those astronomical contracts But fortunately their is one owner Cohen who’s stupid enough and pissed about his team ( same record as Giants) and losing Alonso their getting nothing at 1B.Giants would have to eat a huge portion of contract but they should demand the young Lincecum clone Jonah “Ground control to Major Tong” in return ..

Bailey has team option to got to Sac I’m definitely sending him down his confidence is shot right now.Until Susac returns it’s Haase &Rodriguez, then Haase joins Bailey to form the best experience AAA catchers ever sadly..

Watched end of Boston-Tampa game last night and Caminero homered again at Trop, absolute rocket to dead CF. He homered off Webb a week ago in game Rays won 3-0. should be Ray’s turn tonight I thought but mlb.com lists Giants SP as “tbd.” Huh?

  6. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

There’s talk of Ray going to the Cubbies.

Devers crushed that Homer Dead Center Blast 💥 1-1 on matching HR’s

I see Joey Bart’s catching for the Buccos.

Devers getting into a groove would help an awful lot, and that is generally his MO over the years. No team will trade for him, but he will start hitting. Adames, Chapman, and Bailey can all go away via trade but only if G’s eat most of their salaries, which they should do but hard to see ownership agreeing. “Yeah, they suck, but we’re going to keep playing them because we’re paying them”….  I do think a big move is coming.

If the team could start hitting all they would have to do is get a starter and fix the pen. They really shouldn’t be hitting this bad.

Yeh, agreed. Their lack of offense has already reached historic levels and their hitting is approaching records. I don’t get it. How can this lineup be this poor? I just don’t get it.

I don’t get it either. They don’t look half bad on paper. Yeah I know…

arrgghh 35 pitches but Killian closes it out, finally.

  12. alleykat69's avatar alleykat69 says:

Not his best but Killian is still their best closer by far, he’s calm like the midget closing the door slowly keeping us Orphans in for the night..

  13. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

Hah! 35 pitches though isn’t gonna cut it.

Win is a win. I mean this is how they should be playing. Couple big hits, Solid start and a decent pen effort.
