News! Mike Evans, Come On Down~!~!~

Hey, we signed Eddie Dinero Piniero as well, but I do like the Mike Evans signing. He’s solid, tough, has size and speed, and is a great 3rd down/deep ball/red zone option given his 6’5″ 230 lb frame. Yeah a little long in the tooth at 32, but he’s got some mileage left.

A little surprised the Buccos simply gave up on him as he must lead their team in just about every WR category, but hey, he’s a pro and he should do very well here.

So glad to see a move like this as this will hopefully get the impetus to fix the O line in the draft. Throw Mac Jones into the mix for some good bodies on the O line.

RIP Matt Snell. He’s the guy that should have won MVP of Super Bowl III. He was the inside guy who complemented outside guy Emerson Boozer.

Those high-flying Jets could only muster one TD in that game, and it came from Snell, who rushed for 121 and had 40 yards in the air.

This was the first Super Bowl I paid attention to as a kid, and like everyone I thought the Colts would roll the Jets. But the Jets defense really came through and shut down the Colt passing game as Unitas and Earl Morrall threw 4 picks and were a combined 17-41 for 181 yards.

Compared to most teams around the league the 49ers aren’t doing squat except losing players. I sure hope we have a plan.

On the bright side the Giants are 14-3 so far, now I know that is meaning less, or is it?

When are football fans gonna stop jizzing over 1,000 yard rushing or receiving seasons? In a 17 game season it’s an average of 58.8 YPG down from an equally pedestrian 62.5 YPG in a 16 game season. It’s just a round fuckin number that hasn’t meant shit since the 70s.

Losing the Flap really does suck. They also closed down the Chinese hand job joint down the block above the hardware store. Things are bad here…

Same deal with these QBs throwing for a gazillion yards and TDs (looking at you “Mr. Statue” AKA “Please touch me for the 1st down penalty” AKA Tom Brady).

    Me love you long time . . . !

Hey DJ! Yeah, back when OJ got 2,000 yards in a 14 game season, that was monumental. Like 150 per game every game. Nowadays a 120 average puts you in the same spot. The fact that the 2000 yard barrier isn’t broken more is a testament to how hard that was.

WRs still haven’t eclipsed the 2,000 yard mark. Even with the rules massively favoring the passing game. Megatron got the closest with 1,964 back in 2012.

Heya unca . . . Saw your Flap post! That would be fantastic to throw in a few Flap like baseball threads! Still hoping that Flavor reconsiders??? He had a great run with the Flap . . . Ironically, it feels like yesterday (except when I look in the mirror) when he started it.
