Well, that call on Gipson was ridiculous. That should be reviewable as usual as it would have been 4th and 11. Refs get the win.

Good lesson for Purdy. I am more concerned with the Defense, gave up way too many 3rd and long plays. Still had a chance to win, don’t know what happened to Moody, 2 missed FG? The first one okay, but the second one…only 41 yards. I don’t see the Defense doing that again, they will bounce back with a vengeance

We saw why they measure QBs hands at the Combine. QBs with small hands have problems in the rain, when the ball gets slick. Purdy did better on the last drive because the weather ad let up and the ball was dry.
I still think we win the SB this year. All depends on how we come out the gate next game.

Wow. Jets beat Philly 20-14. Both undefeated teams lose on the road to AFC foes.
Bad day for the offense, but give the Cleveland defense some credit. We knew they were the real deal coming in, and they played that way.
Purdy was off his game, and off target much of the time. That said, he still got us into a position to squeak out a win. When it comes down to the kicker, it’s either a win or a loss. A loss at this point in the season, to an AFC team, is not the end of the world, and I won’t overreact. Hopefully, McCaffrey and Samuel are not going to miss any time. Injuries are always the biggest concern for key players, for any team, no matter how deep we think we are.
The refs had a lousy game. But we also deserved most of the penalties. As I remember Bill Walsh saying, you do not want it left up to the refs at the end of the day. And we did.
Our defense played well, except we couldn’t stop the run, which was a game changer.
Oh, and not to let the offensive line off the hook. They looked, well, mostly terrible. Again, against a really good defense, but still…
Schwartz has owned shanahan. And he did today, in the end. Despite the missed field goal. He looked smug at one point, but credit were credit is due, he out coached shanahan’s offense. A good team overcomes a crappy day to squeak out a victory. And we almost did. But no cigar.

Yep. It;s a long season and teams all go through shit games where nothing works. It’s about responding to this that matters now.
Yeah, I mean, the defense did OK but this offense was playing a backup QB and a backup RB. We got a gift INT early that we turned into nothing.
So many first down penalties and blown plays. The offense had nothing going on past that first drive. They stuffed our runs and took away the short passing game.
Lots of weird games today. Love to see the Giants win this one.
